Democrats continue to pile on
Obama for skipping the border

CNN, by Mary Grace Lucas

Washington – Yet more Democrats are piling on President Barack Obama for skipping a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border during his recent trip to Texas. "I wish he would have come to the border,´ said U.S. Rep. Beto O´Rourke, a Texas Democrat on CNN´s State of the Union with Candy Crowley. "It would have sent an important message to the rest of the country about how seriously he takes this issue beyond the spending request he sent to Congress last week." Obama´s decision to skip the border comes as more and more unaccompanied immigrant minors are making their way in

Dems are getting nervous over this issue. The focus-group polling must be horrific.

I think it would be a wonderful gesture if during the August recess, ALL the House Dems make a pilgrimage to the border and spend the recess doing volunteer with some of the agencies providing assistance for the migrants.

The Dems are merely posturing for their constituents. They are acting concerned during an election year. It´s called trolling for votes. If a close the border bill came before them today they´d all vote NO.

I think every Democrat should go to an immigration center and have a nice sit down family style dinner with the children. Serve finger food and pass the dishes around the table. Anyone who reaches for hand sanitizer must be forced to admit that scattering the children around the country is a really stupid idea.

BO could st the least forgo his expensive vacation so the money can go for the children. Camp David is a nice vacation location. Or he could take the fam to the border and feed the children.
Hey, better yet: He could have a TV special ´So you want to date my daughter.´ He interview guys to find a few that would be good matches for the daughters.

President Obama needs to take action to stop Islamic State (Isis) militants from targeting cities in America and Western Europe, two senators have warned. Without offering specifics on any threats or suggestions on how to confront them, the leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives intelligence committees urged the White House to work to prevent the Islamic State extremists from launching attacks on US soil. The bipartisan pair shared a dire warning against Isis, which now has control of vast swathes of Syria and Iraq, has killed civilians from that region and beheaded American journalist James Foley. “This is

His diagnosis became clear three days after he was admitted. The Ola During Hospital in Sierra Leone - the nation´s only paediatric centre - was forced to close its steel gates. Fear swelled. On TV, incompetence is funny, sometimes hilarious. Jackie Gleason made a career of it on the old “Honeymooners” show; Tom Haverford is absurdly incapable on “Parks and Recreation”; and Michael Scott brought the Peter Principle to new heights in “The Office.” But in real life, incompetence can be dangerous, even life-threatening (think a real-life Homer Simpson actually in charge of safety at a nuclear power plant). That’s where America finds itself nearly six years into the presidency of Barack Obama. There’s no question Mr. Obama has all but checked out. Watching the events unfold in Ferguson, Missouri, I can’t help thinking about the Holocaust and post-war Germany. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I’ve spent years watching Germany wrestle with its dark past. It’s just one of many places that have made efforts to understand and compensate for a difficult history: For nearly three decades, countries as varied as South Africa, Rwanda, and the nations of Latin America and post-Communist Eastern Europe have been engaged in this process, often called “transitional justice.” That’s a broad term for the ways in which societies deal with the legacies of past injustice.

But he also found room for the most Obama-ish of condemnations: “One thing we can all agree on,” he insisted, is that the would-be caliphate’s murderous vision has “no place in the 21st century.” The idea that America’s foes and rivals are not merely morally but chronologically deficient, confused time travelers who need to turn their DeLorean around, has long been a staple of this administration’s

Between 1970 and 1990, the population of Philadelphia shrank by a quarter, dropping from 1.95 to 1.59 million. Like many American cities, it seemed caught in a downward spiral. Since then – like many American cities – Philadelphia has stabilized. The population now appears to have bottomed out at the millennium, and has been regaining residents over the past decade. But as it rebounds, Philly is becoming a different kind of city. In the two most recent decades, which comprise the bounce of the city’s population curve, owner-occupied housing dropped even more steeply than in the ’70s and ’80s. Between 2000 and

WASHINGTON — The current Congress is on track to be the worst ever at passing laws since modern record-keeping began, with three of its lawmakers failing to introduce a single bill, The Post has learned. The divided House and Senate have managed to pass just 163 laws that garnered President Obama’s signature since the two-year term began in January 2013. At this rate, Congress will have no problem beating the previous record set during the 2011-2013 session in which 284 laws were passed. That was down from 385 laws passed in the 2009-2011 session.
