On July 16, comic character Archie Andrews, of Life With Archie, will die after being shot while protecting gay friend Kevin Keller. Keller is "Archie Comics´ first openly gay character." According to the Associated Press, Keller is "a married military veteran and newly elected senator who´s pushing for more gun control in Riverdale after his husband was involved in a shooting." Archie Comics´ publisher and co-CEO Jon Goldwater said the way in which Archie will die was carefully chosen. While he could have been killed saving "Betty" or saving "Veronica," doing so for Keller was something "that would really resonate

Comments:
Here is yet another example of the complete trashing of our culture. Over the weekend I watched the special National Geographic had on related to the 90´s. One segment focused on Tupac Shakur, his murder and rap music. That was when the decline started. All of the murderous gang members emulate what is contained in that garbage. That filthy, violent "music" never should have been allowed to be put out over the airwaves.

The "gay" character should have also been protecting a lesbian/transgender mixed race couple and their adopted Asian child from KKK members being led by Jeb Bush.

Just to make sure all the grievance groups felt included it their pathetic fantasy.

The "Archie" franchise hasn´t been relevant for decades. In the vain effort to produce new material and story lines, Archie Comics jumped the shark and became just another facile tool for promoting ´progressive´ social views. And this particular episode is so unimaginatively contrived, it is almost a caricature of itself.
