Congressman Asks: How Many Migrants
Crossing Through Designated Environmental
Areas to Avoid Border Patrol?

Breitbart Texas, by Tony Lee

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/14/2014 11:35:35 AM

Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine (R) wants to know if federal environmental protection laws are making it easier for illegal immigrants to unlawfully enter the country. After touring a detention center on Saturday where illegal immigrant children are being housed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Rep. Bridenstine asked the Health and Human Services Department (HHS) if Border Patrol agents are banned from lands protected by environmental protection laws--lands that illegal immigrants may be using to enter the United States. In a letter to Kenneth Wolfe, the deputy director of the Office of Public Affairs at HHS, Bridenstine asked the percentage of illegal

Comments:
It´s only normal Americans who are hounded and pursued by the corrupt government over some "environmental" concern. These illegals could kill mice, bats, smelt, trample over and destroy areas, etc. and they won´t lift a finger. This constant letter writing is so annoying and accomplishes absolutely nothing.

The feds were warned about what would happen and they went ahead and did it anyway. Our government is an enormous collection of imbecilic drones from top to bottom.

The non-Mexican Central American ones certainly aren´t trying to avoid the Border Patrol. They come in right where the BP is and turn themselves in. The 2008 law covering Central Americans under age 18 protects them so they don´t have to sneak in.

That would be a strange coincidence if illegals are crossing through EPA protected lands that the Border Patrol doesn´t have access to.

But wait - there´s no such thing as a coincidence!

Obama: Everything Just Seems

At a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in New York Friday, President Obama attributed people´s pervasive sense the world is falling apart to “social media.” “The world’s always been messy… we’re just noticing now in part because of social media,” Obama said. “I can see why a lot of folks are troubled,” he said. But American military superiority has never been greater, he added, according to a pool report. Obama has faced withering criticism for taking a lengthy vacation that included nine rounds of golf, while terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) has been on the march in Iraq, an Ebola crisis

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that President Obama may postpone his sweeping executive actions on immigration until after the midterm elections. Why? Because Democrats are begging him to: The two-step plan would bow to the concerns of Democratic lawmakers running in Republican-leaning states who have expressed opposition to Obama’s plans to act unilaterally on the hot-button issue. Some Democratic senators have said he should wait for Congress to pass legislation. Wait. Why would they want to do that? Aren’t the policies Obama is proposing on immigration wildly popular? That’s what they keep telling us, anyway. “I promise you, the American people

A second incident would be punished by a lifetime ban from the league, Goodell said in a letter and memo to the owners of the league’s 32 teams. Without referring to Rice by name, he acknowledged in his letter that he made the wrong decision in that case. “I didn’t get it right. Simply put, we have to do better. And we will,” he

Sometimes voter-fraud deniers are forced to discuss the truth of voter fraud. This happened today at the Washington Post (“Fairfax officials say some people may have crossed Va.-Md. line to vote twice in 2012“). While the Post deserves credit from emerging from its cocoon of voter-fraud denial, it deserves scorn for bungling the emergence. Reporter Susan Svrluga notes that “tens of thousands of voters” were registered to cast ballots in both Virginia and Maryland. That’s true, and it is a big problem nationwide. Hundreds of thousands of people are registered to vote in multiple states, and many of them have voted. It

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell’s campaign manager, Jesse Benton, is resigning from the campaign. Benton, who previously held high-level roles in Ron Paul and Rand Paul’s campaigns, confirmed his resignation Friday evening, explaining that he is stepping down after his name surfaced in news reports about a scandal involving the 2012 presidential campaign. Earlier this week, a former Iowa state senator pleaded guilty to charges related to receiving money from the Ron Paul presidential campaign in return for his endorsement. Benton, who was Paul’s political director, denies any wrongdoing but admits it has become a distraction for

The latest Gallup poll on President Obama job performance is out. At the top line, things could be worse for the president and his party. 44 percent approve of his performance, while 53 percent disapprove. That’s considerably worse than in the run-up to the 2010 election, and certainly cause for concern among Democrats. But Dems won’t be surprised by this split which, as I said, could be worse. The intensity numbers, however, are terrible for Obama and the Dems. 39 percent of Americans (essentially 2 in 5) say they strongly disapprove of the president’s performance. Only 17 percent say they strongly approve.

During the Great Depression, the Communist scribes at the Daily Worker were forever assuring the more skeptical among their colleagues that the heroic spark was near. Having read about a “small riot somewhere in rural Minnesota,” Whittaker Chambers recorded in Witness, Robert Minor started shouting about “the beginning of the American revolution.” If the paper wished to capitalize upon dissatisfaction and spin it into insurrection and change, Minor proposed, it would need the staff to keep an eye out for the tell-tale sign and, then, to “play it up big.” Over the past month, the events in Ferguson, Mo., have played

Watching the events unfold in Ferguson, Missouri, I can’t help thinking about the Holocaust and post-war Germany. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I’ve spent years watching Germany wrestle with its dark past. It’s just one of many places that have made efforts to understand and compensate for a difficult history: For nearly three decades, countries as varied as South Africa, Rwanda, and the nations of Latin America and post-Communist Eastern Europe have been engaged in this process, often called “transitional justice.” That’s a broad term for the ways in which societies deal with the legacies of past injustice.

It will take two decades to rebuild the thousands of houses destroyed during Israel’s assault on Gaza, according to a recent NGO report. At least 17,000 homes were obliterated or severely damaged during the conflict, with thousands more needing substantial repairs, according to an assessment by Shelter Cluster. More than 2,100 Palestinians, most of them civilians, were killed during the conflict. In addition 71 Israelis were killed – all but six of them soldiers. But the report on Gaza’s housing stock indicates inhabitants of the densely populated strip will face a severe infrastructural burden over the coming years.
