Michelle Nunn’s felon fundraiser
Constitution-Journal [Atlanta, GA], by Daniel Malloy, Greg Bluestein*

Original Article

When Michelle Nunn attended a fundraiser on Capitol Hill the other day, as we reported, one of the three co-sponsors of the event was Virtual Murrell, who owns a government relations firm in D.C. The conservative National Review dug deeper into Murrell’s background and found quite a tale: Murrell was indicted in 1994 by a federal grand jury on charges that he solicited and received over $37,000 in bribes from businesses in San Francisco while serving as an aide to an Oakland city councilman. The indictment found him guilty of violating the Hobbs Act, a federal statute that prohibits elected and

Ms. Nunn is heavily backed by Emily´s List. Emily´s List supports female candidates who will speak out in support of abortion.

According to this morning, WSJ, Emily´s List is the single biggest backer for these four Democrat females in the South:

Allison Grimes
Michelle Nunn
Natalie Tenannt
Kay Hagan

This backing is all about "abortion rights".

Nunn is no centrist, although she´s trying desperately to portray herself as one. She´s a died-in-the-wool liberal Democrat. And, as has been noted, she was endorsed by Emily´s List a year ago, and they´ve made substantial financial contributions to get her elected this November.

Sam Nunn´s homely daughter Nag Nunn has never had a job. She is merely a community organizer. If she is elected she´ll just be a hand puppet for Dingy Harry Reid. Felons have contributed to her campaign. But at least they broke the law for a reason. One of her main backers is Jane Fonda who is worse than a felon. Don´t know what will happen. Georgia and most of the southern states are near tipping points. We are being flooded with illegal immigrants who want the government to take from the workers and give to the bums.

One L-Dotter is proud to be actively campaigning for Michelle Nunn because her dad was a "good guy". That reasoning escapes me.

It was late in the afternoon on a warm Friday in early fall and Doug Sumrell was mowing the lawn outside his suburban home in Evans, Georgia. As he pushed the mower across the yard, Sumrell began to feel faint — his chest tightened and the back of his neck started throbbing — so he went inside to take a break and drink a glass of water. But each time he went outside to finish the job, the feeling came back. He drove himself to the hospital as the sun was setting. On the way there, he left a message

President Obama has dared those who criticize his repeated failure to faithfully execute the laws to “sue me,” believing that no one can show the injury needed to do so. But when one of the administration’s many lawless actions shifted certain responsibilities to the states, we gained the standing to sue that so many others have lacked. So on July 29, I accepted the president’s invitation and filed a lawsuit on behalf of the state of West Virginia to hold the Obama administration accountable for its illegal conduct. Though we are a small state — with approximately 1.8 million people

WASHINGTON — Sarah Palin has lost the magic. The defeat of her choice Tuesday in a Republican Senate primary in her home state of Alaska capped a primary season in which her favored candidates have stumbled across the nation. A referendum to restore Palin’s signature achievement from her time as Alaska governor, a state tax on oil companies, was also headed toward defeat following Tuesday’s voting, dealing a double whammy loss to Palin in her home state and highlighting her declining influence. Only four of the 15 congressional candidates endorsed by Palin nationwide this year have won their primaries, a far worse

Narcissist President Barack Obama lectured ISIS today on how to practice their religion of Islam. Obama says ISIS speaks for no religion. He obviously doesn’t follow their tweets. From the White House website: Jim Foley’s life stands in stark contrast to his killers. Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages — killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children, and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims — both Sunni and Shia — by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their

I began to lose interest in Ferguson, Mo., when it was first reported that the late Michael Brown was an “aspiring rapper.” Hadn’t heard that one yet? It was in the LA Times, under the headline: “Michael Brown’s raps: Money, sex, drugs — and a vulnerable side.” Of course he had to have a vulnerable side. That’s why he was known as “the Gentle Giant.” He didn’t look terribly gentle in that closed-circuit video, shoving the owner of the Ferguson Market when he was stealing the box of Swisher Sweets just before he got shot. ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The final contested Senate GOP primary of 2014 came to a close Tuesday, with Dan Sullivan leading with more than two-thirds of the ballots counted. The winner will take on Democratic Sen. Mark Begich in one of the 10 top competitive races that will determine control of the U.S. Senate next year. Begich faced only token opposition in the Democratic primary, and was declared the winner shortly after polls closed. The GOP nomination battle followed a familiar political narrative this year, pitting establishment and Tea Party Republicans against each other in a race heavily influenced by outside forces and

WASHINGTON — The meeting in the Oval Office in late June was called to give President Obama and the four top members of Congress a chance to discuss the unraveling situation in Iraq. But Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, wanted to press another point. With Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader, sitting a few feet away, Mr. Reid complained that Senate Republicans were spitefully blocking the confirmation of dozens of Mr. Obama’s nominees to serve as ambassadors. He expected that the president would back him up and urge Mr. McConnell to relent. Mr. Obama quickly dismissed the matter. “You and Mitch work it out,”

One of the most interesting features of last week’s now-famous dust-up between President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton was the way Bill Clinton figured in the discussion. He’s become the Democrats’ Ronald Reagan, the former president all party members want on their side. Hillary’s boosters naturally claim Bill’s foreign-policy record for their own. But her detractors do the same thing. They say her interventionist talk amounts to “dissing” her own husband. Who’s right? The case for seeing Hillary in apostolic succession to “Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, and Bill Clinton” was made last Friday for Politico by Will Marshall. A

Global warming has been temporarily ´paused´ according to a group of scientists, who attribute this interlude to climate fluctuations and a more restrained sun. Researchers at ETH Zurich have explained the two reasons behind the warming hiatus in their study published in the latest issue of the journal Nature Geoscience. The first is that global temperatures, which rose significantly in the 1990s, have only risen very slightly since 1998 - which has been used by sceptics to question climate change and the models used to measure it. However, climate fluctuations such as El Niño and its counter-phenomenon La Niña have
