GOP rejecting Obama´s
border funding request

American Thinker, by Rick Moran

Original Article

Posted By:M2, 7/14/2014 10:28:59 AM

Republicans in the House and Senate have voted thumbs down on President Obama´s request for $3.8 billion to deal with the crisis on our southern border. Most lawmakers think it´s too much money and not enough funds earmarked for border security. Washington Times: Even Texas Gov. Rick Perry, personally recruited by the president to persuade Republicans to support the measure, threw cold water on the idea. He said the president doesn’t need that much money and instead should send National Guard troops to secure the border.

Comments:
For far less money, we can fly them all back home, says the article. Amen.

´Not enough earmarked for border security´, that´s the key phrase. Congress will up the ante by giving Obama 10 billion as long as more is doled out for ´border security´.

Boehner will cave, it´s just a matter of time and how much of our money they´ll waste.

Dittos, #2. Boehner will huff, and he will puff, and he will cry a few tears - and then he will pass it. He is part of the problem.

Have we arrived at the point in our nation that a Democratic president and powerful members of his administration can act as lawlessly as they choose without any significant objection or protest from the Democratic Party, the liberal media and Democratic voters? Deny it as they might, liberals seem to have less fealty than conservatives to the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. Stop right there, you say. Democrats are no different from Republicans. Both parties are equally guilty.

ATLANTA — In the early 2000s, a young researcher at the Centers for Disease Control named Greg Millett set out to solve an epidemiological mystery. Nobody could explain why black Americans, particularly black gay men, had such high rates of HIV infection compared to the rest of the population. How were they putting themselves in so much danger? What were they doing differently from everyone else? Millett began with a survey of the published research, but that only seemed to raise more questions. Study after study seemed to arrive at the same conclusion: Black gay men take fewer risks in the

Sen. Pat Roberts fended off an aggressive challenger Tuesday in the Kansas Republican primary, dealing another blow to a national tea party movement that has targeted longtime Washington incumbents. Milton Wolf, 43, a Leawood radiologist making his first run for public office, failed to pull the upset in the race against Roberts, 78, whose political dates to the late 1960s, when he was a congressional aide. After surviving the primary, Roberts is a huge favorite to win his fourth, six-year term in November. President Obama returned from his full-time job as the Democratic Party’s fundraiser-in-chief to host today’s U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. Obamacare plans have shrunk payments to physicians so much that some doctors say they won’t be able to afford to accept Obamacare coverage, NPR reports. Many of the eight million sign-ups in Obamacare exchanges nationwide already face more limited choices for physicians and hospitals than those in the private insurance market. But with low physician reimbursement rates, the problem could get even worse. For a typical quick patient visit, Dr. Doug Gerard, a Connecticut internist, told NPR a private insurer would pay $100 while Medicare would pay around $80. But Obamacare plans are more likely to pay closer to $80, which Gerard
