Illegal immigrants flown to Bay State
Boston Herald, by Owen Boss and Joe Dwinell

Illegal immigrants are being secretly flown to Massachusetts and kept in local lockups in an under-the-radar operation that has alarmed lawmen who are raising health and security concerns amid recent spikes in detainees coming up from Texas during the latest border crisis. “We’re all becoming border sheriffs now with these people being carted all over the country,” said Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson. “The blame goes all the way up. It’s a travesty and people ought to be upset,” Hodgson said. “This is un-American and has raised the stakes to the public health and public safety threat.” Hodgson said buses from his

How many illegal aliens are going to be dumped on Martha´s Vineyard in time for President Pothead´s extended August vacation? And, what about all of those empty, multi-bedroom mansions just sitting vacant in the Hamptons for most of this summer? If this is truly a crisis, everyone ... including the uber-rich and famous ... must be forced to do their part. /s

Sitting at an airport, waiting to fly out for a quick business trip. Just put my ID back in my wallet, my laptop back in my briefcase, and my shoes back on my feet. I was born here, paid income tax for 30+ years. How do I board a plane without showing government-issued ID? As more people in this country wake up to the fact that as citizens, we are second class, that our kids are less valued than someone who hands a child over to a coyote to cross the border so that we will take care of them, I think it´s going to get ugly.

Well, well, well!!! No problem when it´s confined to the south and southwest. You know, out of sight, out of mind. But drop them in that liberal bastion of Taxachusetts!! Now THAT´S a problem! Hope they send them ALL to the northeast. A little dose of reality always makes a liberal squirm.

Obama and Holder want to integrate the neighborhoods. How about dropping these kids at Martha´s Vineyard? Send some to Gate´s house in Seattle. Drop a plane load with Warren Buffet in Nebraska. Us little people in Texas are tired of these burdens.

What do Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell think of Charles Krauthammer? Whoopi, the show’s moderator, thinks Krauthammer is a “narcissist” and O’Donnell, well, has never even heard of him. Opening the show Tuesday, “The View” foursome discussed the syndicated columnist’s recent comments that President Obama is a “narcissist.” “He’s calling President Obama a ‘narcissist,’ saying he’s so self-involved,” said Goldberg. “He uses terms like ‘my military,’ ‘my intelligence community’ in speeches and calling him a narcissist is, I guess…that’s how narcissists refer to other narcissists, right?” “Who is that guy? I’ve never heard of him,” O’Donnell insisted. Nicolle Wallace, the new right-leaning voice on the

Gerald Cheek, now retired from his position as Falkland Islands Director of Civil Aviation, has addressed a letter to the Penguin News clarifying some details about the ´Unwelcome visits from aircraft´, clearly in reference to episodes of Argentine aircraft incursion and landing in the Islands. This was motivated by an article in the Penguin News about the flight of Argentine-Irish pilot Miguel Fitzgerald solo flight in a Cessna 185 aircraft to the Islands in 1964, where he landed at the Stanley racecourse. In effect, Mr. Cheek says that what did puzzle him was the distance stated by Fitzgerald, 550 miles from

U.N. human rights experts Frances Raday and Alda Facio arrived in Chile last week to urge the government to enact reform aimed at increasing women’s political participation, protecting them from domestic violence and decreasing teenage pregnancy, among other issues. “Chile finds itself at an opportune moment in which it has the economic capacity and the political will to make

The very public break-up between Rep. Mark Sanford and his fiancée came as a surprise to his fiancée, who told the New York Times on Saturday that she learned about it from the media. Maria Belen Chapur told the Times that she had spent time with Sanford in Paris last week. Chapur had such a wonderful time during their time in France that she felt it was like a “honeymoon,” she said. But then she learned Saturday that Sanford had written a 2,400-plus word post on Facebook announcing his intention to break up with her. “I learned it from the press today,”

The front page of today’s New York Times features an article titled Paths to War, Then and Now, Haunt Obama. It is an exercise in journalism as a hall of mirrors. The article, by Peter Baker, is “based on interviews with 10 people who spoke with [Obama] in the days leading up to his speech Wednesday night.” These conversations occurred on two occasions: a dinner at the White House for “a group of foreign policy experts and former government officials,” and a separate discussion with a “group of columnists and magazine writers.” Baker’s article includes extensive quotes by President Obama,

Raids on Thursday left lawmen declaring Los Angeles a cash-laundering mecca. Roping off 100 blocks of downtown Los Angeles this week, federal agents from the U.S. attorney´s office raided roughly 70 garment district businesses along with a few houses in tony Westwood and Beverly Hills. The suspected crime was laundering money for Mexico´s Sinaloa cartel. Agents hauled out $65 million in cash stuffed in duffel bags, suitcases and boxes, some of it blood-spattered.

As temperatures soared Friday, a brush fire burning in the mountains of Cleveland National Forest south of Corona grew to 1,600 acres, sending a plume of smoke towering above Silverado Canyon that was visible from miles away. Mandatory evacuations started at 6 p.m. for the area from 30331 Silverado Canyon Road east to the end of the canyon, authorities. That order was issued in part because of expected nighttime downslope winds that could push the flames into populated areas in the canyon bottom, Battalion Chief Mike Petro said. On a daily basis, numerous street vendors and performers can be found throughout Lima trying to make ends meet. Whether they are juggling or dancing at intersections or perhaps offering to wash a car, it can be assumed that these individuals have little to no fixed income. It is becoming increasingly likely as well that they are foreigners. On Wednesday, authorities decided that the issue of foreigners who have arrived to Lima illegally needed to be resolved. In such districts as Miraflores, San Isidro, and Central Lima, a total of 32 male and 10 female foreigners were detained. Those rounded up by the police were natives of Argentina,

Washington - The current threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, will test not only the resolve and strategic judgment of America and its allies, but also our nation’s fidelity to a basic constitutional principle. Our Constitution reserves to Congress the power to declare war and designates our president as the commander in chief, but our recent history has been characterized by executive overreach and legislative abdication in the initiation of military action. The current crisis gives us an opportunity to restore the proper balance between the branches. America’s history since 2001 should compel us to fix the way
