Illegal immigrants flown to Bay State
Boston Herald, by Owen Boss and Joe Dwinell

Illegal immigrants are being secretly flown to Massachusetts and kept in local lockups in an under-the-radar operation that has alarmed lawmen who are raising health and security concerns amid recent spikes in detainees coming up from Texas during the latest border crisis. “We’re all becoming border sheriffs now with these people being carted all over the country,” said Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson. “The blame goes all the way up. It’s a travesty and people ought to be upset,” Hodgson said. “This is un-American and has raised the stakes to the public health and public safety threat.” Hodgson said buses from his

How many illegal aliens are going to be dumped on Martha´s Vineyard in time for President Pothead´s extended August vacation? And, what about all of those empty, multi-bedroom mansions just sitting vacant in the Hamptons for most of this summer? If this is truly a crisis, everyone ... including the uber-rich and famous ... must be forced to do their part. /s

Sitting at an airport, waiting to fly out for a quick business trip. Just put my ID back in my wallet, my laptop back in my briefcase, and my shoes back on my feet. I was born here, paid income tax for 30+ years. How do I board a plane without showing government-issued ID? As more people in this country wake up to the fact that as citizens, we are second class, that our kids are less valued than someone who hands a child over to a coyote to cross the border so that we will take care of them, I think it´s going to get ugly.

Well, well, well!!! No problem when it´s confined to the south and southwest. You know, out of sight, out of mind. But drop them in that liberal bastion of Taxachusetts!! Now THAT´S a problem! Hope they send them ALL to the northeast. A little dose of reality always makes a liberal squirm.

Obama and Holder want to integrate the neighborhoods. How about dropping these kids at Martha´s Vineyard? Send some to Gate´s house in Seattle. Drop a plane load with Warren Buffet in Nebraska. Us little people in Texas are tired of these burdens.

Well, it´s probably true that the more states that get burdened with these "kids," the greater the national outrage will be. That´s good, I suppose.

Immigration: The White House and open-borders lobby have stepped up pressure for amnesty by painting the migrant tsunami as a flood of toddlers. But a Pew study, citing Border Patrol data, shows that more than half the entrants are teenage males. Nobody pours it on about "the children" as an argument for negating border laws like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who wears her Catholicism on her sleeve. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is standing with Republicans on the border crisis, just months after breaking with his party on illegal immigration. Bush, who made headlines earlier this year for saying illegal immigration was often an “act of love,” published an op-ed in Thursday’s Wall Street Journal that came out in strong support for sending the minors flooding the Texas border back to their countries of origin and changing the laws that let them enter the country. After first slamming President Obama for his response to the crisis, Bush celebrated GOP proposals to revise a 2008 anti-trafficking law that gives additional

Angry villagers sought revenge after discovering the body in West Bengal state, hunting down and attacking three men they accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering the girl, a police officer said. "I am at a local hospital for the girl´s post-mortem while those three suspects are also admitted at another hospital with serious injuries," sub-inspector Shankar Das told AFP by phone. The IRS might not have lost the backups of former agency administrator Lois Lerner’s emails after all, according to a top IRS official. In testimony released Monday, Thomas Kane, the IRS’s deputy associate chief counsel, told House Oversight investigators last week that the agency was examining whether all the backup tapes which held the emails have been recycled. The IRS told lawmakers in June that the tapes had been recycled, one of the reasons that an untold number of Lerner’s emails were missing. Since then, the IRS commissioner, John Koskinen, has repeatedly stood by those statements in congressional testimony. But Kane, the top

Even in a city long plagued by violent crime, the bank robbery Wednesday left veteran police officers stunned. The robbers led police on a wild hourlong chase, holding hostages from the bank as human shields. Periodically, police say, the robbers would slow down, waiting for pursuing officers to come into view before opening fire with an AK-47-style assault rifle and other weapons. The pursuit ended in a minute-long gun battle that left two suspects and one hostage dead. Police said a third suspect survived uninjured because he used the hostage, Misty Holt-Singh, to shield himself from officers´ bullets. Singh had gone into

The president’s demeanor is worrying a lot of people. From the immigration crisis on the Mexican border to the Islamic State rising in Mesopotamia, Barack Obama seems totally detached from the world’s convulsions. When he does interrupt his endless rounds of golf, fundraising and photo ops, it’s for some affectless, mechanical, almost forced public statement. Regarding Ukraine, his detachment — the rote, impassive voice — borders on dissociation. His U.N. ambassador, Samantha Power, delivers an impassioned denunciation of Russia. Obama cautions that we not “get out ahead of the facts,” as if the facts of this case — Vladimir Putin’s

President Obama insists on flirting with impeachment even as House Republican leaders insist there’s no such possibility. Obama uses a passive-aggressive strategy that can be judged as a political maneuver, a personality disorder, or both. Secure in the knowledge that impeachment is not the same as removal from office, Mr. Obama brings up the topic on his own and with bold defiance. Martyrdom goes well with a Messiah complex and Mr. Obama’s speeches are a non-stop litany of depicting himself as a victim of Republicans. Already operating beyond the constitutional bounds of presidential power, Mr. Obama’s strategy is to push the bounds
