Governors wary of White House plan
to place immigrant children with states

Fox News & Associated Press, by Staff

State governors from both parties have reacted cooly to efforts by the Obama administration to gain their support for placing thousands of unaccompanied Central American children with friends or family members. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell met privately with dozens of governors Sunday at the National Governors Association summer meeting in Nashville. According to those who attended the meeting, the governors expressed particular concerns about the costs to states, including that of providing public education for the children. Burwell left the meeting through a side door without talking to

Notice that the 0bama slug slithered out the side door so as to not answer question of reporters. Real transparency.

Wary? They´re wary? That´s it?! They should be making plans to send their combined national guards to the White House to stop it.

The US southern border has been erased. These governors are in charge of non-existent states in a non-existent country. Six planeloads of illegals have been sent to Massachusetts since April but the news was kept secret until recently. Other planeloads have already been sent to towns and cities around the country. No one will stop it. The political class has always wanted open borders as much as the billionaires and WSJ do.

Anyone noticing how oddly well-planned and prepared the Obama regime seems to be regarding this recent tsunami of illegals? As opposed to not being prepared for anything else going on in the world... One might be forgiven for suspecting this influx is quite deliberate.

The governors main concern ids how much it is going to cost THEM? Or should I say their state´s taxpayers? Notice they´re taking it for granted they´ll house the little darlings.

Dammit, they should be vociferously protesting the vanished border and demanding to know how soon the government can get the illegals back to whence they came.

There´s a blue collar town near here with huge numbers of illegals. The Fire Department is going ballistic, says apartments have mattresses all over the floor. Fire hazards everywhere.

This new "Zero Borders" policy has more problems than anyone knows.

A couple of things I noticed about this article: Fox News is yoked with the Associated Press. This scares me a little. Ordinarily, I don´t even bother to read anything by-lined Associated Press because it is always the party line, and now we see it coupled with Fox News.

Then, when I saw the picture that went with the article - all those scared, defenseless children.

We all know that if there are 50,000 children coming across our southern border, there are, at least, 53,000 illegal adult males coming across the border as well, but Fox, with the Associated Press, has decided to promote the narrative that it is all about "the children".

I heard Rush giving a monologue on the southern invasion the other day and he also spoke about "the children" and then he added two words, "and others", (he was touting the party line, but muted, literally, because he knows that some of his listeners know this is about more than some kind of "children´s crusade".

Truth be told, Rush is a one percenter and, as such, believes he lives in another place - figuratively as well).

No mention of how many illegal aliens with contagious diseases will soon be employed by the food service industry throughout the country.

A pair of primaries this week offered an instructive lesson in what Republicans must do — and must not do — as they gear up for battle with President Obama and the Democrats this fall. (Snip) Clearly, politics can be a tough business, and campaigns will get ugly at times. But candidates caught up in the process of winning an election should never lose sight of the larger picture, especially in a primary race, and especially in a year like this one, where the stakes are so high. You’re fighting not just for a nomination but for the soul of your party. You’re trying to energize your supporters, bring more volunteers and energy to the party — developing a

West African patients infected with the Ebola virus will not have access to experimental drugs being used to treat American cases of the disease for several months, if at all, Nigerian health authorities said on Thursday. Health minister Onyebuchi Chukwu told a press conference he had asked the US health authorities about the unproven medicines used on two American doctors, but was told such small quantities existed that west Africa would have to wait for months for supplies, even if they were proved safe and effective. Helena, MT - U.S. Sen. John Walsh of Montana is dropping his campaign for office amid allegations that he plagiarized large portions of a 2007 research project he wrote for a master’s degree, a Democrat close to the former National Guard commander’s campaign said Thursday. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss Walsh’s plans. In a statement to supporters obtained by Lee Newspapers of Montana, Walsh said he is leaving the race but will keep the seat he was appointed to until his term ends in January 2015, when the winner of November’s election is sworn in.

Russia on Thursday banned most imports of Western food products, a sweeping escalation in an economic war that will deal a multibillion-dollar hit to affected nations but will also unreel wide-ranging consequences at home. The measures were a signal that Russia is not backing down from a confrontation that has sent Western-Russian tensions to heights not seen since the Cold War — and that it is willing to risk barer shelves and higher food prices at home in the name of striking a blow against countries that have tried to punish it over its role in the Ukraine conflict. Osama bin Laden is dead. So is much of the influence his organization built with the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001. Al-Qaeda, however, lives on through a collection of like-minded Islamist militias holding territory and threatening to redraw the map in the Middle East and North Africa. Inspired by bin Laden’s jihad and hardened by battle, they have capitalized on the security and political vacuum left by the toppling of autocrats in the 2011 Arab Spring. They feed off the area’s sectarian and tribal conflicts, and are united by an ambition to bring new states with strict interpretations of Islamic law to the Arab world.

President Obama gave a press conference this evening. He started a little over an hour late without explanation. Reporters stuck to asking questions that they evidently knew Obama would be comfortable answering. None of them asked him about any of his administration scandals. ABC’s Jon Karl, usually a tough questioner of Obama and his spokesmen, asked a rambling question that played right into the Democrats’ “economic patriotism” canard. Despite the fact that the president showed a passionless, bloodless, disinterested face to the world, he still managed to do some damage. Chris Jansing of CNN asked Obama if the sanctions against Russia are working.
