Obama’s ‘blank check’
rejected as border solution

Washington Times, by Ben Wolfgang

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 7/13/2014 9:36:19 PM

Not even a week after it was offered, President Obama’s $3.7 billion plan to deal with the growing crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border appears all but dead, with Republican lawmakers Sunday decrying the administration’s “blank check” proposal and instead calling for a more targeted response centered on greater border security. Even Texas Gov. Rick Perry, personally recruited by the president to persuade Republicans to support the measure, threw cold water on the idea. He said the president doesn’t need that much money and instead should send National Guard troops to secure the border. The apparent defeat caps a whirlwind several days

Comments:
A photo-op meeting with 0bama means that he "recruited" Gov. Rick Perry to help pass this idea on? I don´t think so. I would give no money and let the interfering churches pay for this neverending dRATS nightmare to our political system.

Classic Democrat solution to any problem. Throw money. No planning. No strategy. No accountability. No measurable results. Just throw money.

As it stands now, if Congress gives Obama all that money, it would go to liberal Democrat aligned organizations to take care of and resettle the vast majority of the current young illegal alien influx all over the USA, and to leftist immigration lawyers that Obama would hire as immigration judges and to represent illegal aliens, who are in reality an esoteric special interest that is bound to clog up the immigration court system with more legalities, to keep as many poor and uneducated illegal aliens in the USA as they possibly could with no end in sight.

Any time you hear a liberal Democrat say the word "comprehensive" in connection with illegal immigration they are using the liberal Democrat political code word for a massive amnesty for up to 20 million illegal aliens, who after being legalized, would gain the right to bring their close foreign relatives into the USA in unlimited numbers, thus legalizing, and making much bigger the flow of young illegal aliens coming over the borderline that would certainly amount to over ten million additional poor and uneducated aliens before everything was said and done.

Dear Lord we can only hope. To give this creature anything would be utterly ridiculous. He has stolen more than enough money...he could probably by his own personal 747 if he desired. Of course, he wouldn´t be able to fly it, but he has the keys so he might taxi wherever he wants to wander. The image of the plane in the ditch does make one a tad giggly. He might also give the ´children´ a special ride on his plane in order to get them back to their country of origin.

Now that was a tough opportunity to turn down.

It saddens me that 20 years after my sister Nicole’s murder, we are still seeing the same crimes, just different names, over and over again. The Ray Rice case reflects our misunderstanding of what domestic violence is, and the Oscar Pistorius case reminds me so much of what happened to Nicole: victims defending their partners, and batterers blaming the victim. What is most chilling to me about what I have seen in the coverage of Ray Rice is that he has not atoned for his actions; he seems more concerned with how he is now viewed. And it’s Janay Palmer who is apologizing for her part of being knocked out cold.

The image I have of “Girls” star Lena Dunham, judging by last season’s episodes of the HBO series, is that of a girl riding a bicycle in the Hamptons in a two-piece bathing suit that is two sizes too small. Exposing her body in all of its glory is part of the Dunham hard-sell — you either buy into her “freedom at any cost” philosophy, or you don’t. How curious, then, that the New York Times, in choosing Dunham for the cover of its Culture Issue, on sale this Sunday, decided to photograph her as a piece of neoclassical art. The photographer, Victoria Diehl, modeled the Dunham portrait on a bust of Pauline Bonaparte as Venus Victrix

"This does not mean a terror attack is imminent, we have no specific intelligence of particular plots. What we do have is intelligence that there are people with the intent and capability to mount attacks," Abbott said at a press conference in Canberra on Friday.

Voter turnout during last month´s primary races was a little too good in some counties, Arizona elections officials said Friday. Some precincts in northern Arizona tallied more ballots cast than there are registered voters, the Arizona Capitol Times reported. According to officials, errors made by poll workers and elections officials in Apache and Navajo counties led to the miscalculations. In Apache County, the Puerco West precinct reportedly had 100 votes cast, but only 23 voters are registered there. The voter turnout added up to 434
