John Kerry joins last ditch effort
to save Iran nuclear talks

Telegraph [UK], by David Blair

John Kerry joined a last ditch effort to settle the confrontation over Iran’s nuclear ambitions on Sunday as the clock ticked towards a deadline for a final agreement. The US secretary of state arrived in Vienna to join the talks between Iran and six world powers. An interim deal placing limits on Iran’s nuclear programme expires on July 20 and the aim is to replace it with a comprehensive accord. [Snip] The biggest stumbling block concerns the number of centrifuges that Iran would be allowed to operate under a final agreement. At present, the country has about 19,000 machines, of which

Kerry only gets invited because those men keep asking him for the secret of his luxuriant hair. It´s all that bovine manure in his brain, actually.

Look into Kerry´s betrayal of his own squadron in Vietnam. Find out how he ran away like the coward he is and then lied about them in Washington. Then he married a old rich dame to make his life easy. Obama has surrounded himself with snakes like himself who would help him destroy you and me and this nation.

We´ve unfrozen money and allowed them to ship additional oil as fast as they increase output. And we have boosted their economy by falsely claiming they have reduced their efforts to purify uranium. For this we have gotten zilch in return. Every extra dime has gone into more centrifuges.

The US is considering making aid drops to Shia Turkmen in northern Iraq who are under siege from Islamic State (IS) militants, US defence sources say. President Obama is also close to expanding US air strikes against IS after seeking support from several EU allies, according to US officials. Last week the UN said urgent action was needed to stop a massacre in Amerli. The Iraqi town is at risk of falling into the hands of IS, who now control large swathes of Iraq and Syria. The majority of Amerli´s residents are Shia Turkmen, who are seen as apostates by

Gaza has had "very negative impact" on US-Israel relations, said Martin Indyk, former US special envoy to the Middle East process, in an interview published this week. [Snip] Speaking extensively on US relations with Israel since the end of the latest round of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians last April, and throughout Operation Protective Edge, a candid Indyk said at times US President Barack Obama has become "enraged" at the Israeli government, both for its actions and for its treatment of his chief diplomat, US Secretary of State John Kerry. An IDF officer was lightly-to-moderately wounded Wednesday by apparent errant gun fire emanating from the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, where rebels and forces loyal to the Damascus regime are embroiled in a civil war. The wounded officer was airlifted to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for medical treatment. Earlier Wednesday, the IDF instructed farmers and civilians to stay away from the border with Syria on the Golan Heights after intense fighting flared between the Syrian army and rebels in the Quneitra crossing region. Explosions from the fighting in Syria were audible in the Israeli Golan Heights. The IDF said

Murmurs of dissatisfaction rose from the political Left and Right Tuesday night, after Israel agreed to a cease-fire. Meanwhile, Eshkol Regional Council chairman Haim Yellin indicated that he does not trust the cease-fire will last, saying residents of his constituency who evacuated should not return to their homes. "It doesn´t interest me what the government or Hamas say. I will only call on residents to return when I feel like there´s a real cease-fire," Yellin told Channel 10 news. [Snip] Just as half of the cabinet ministers were opposed to the cease-fire, many in the coalition expressed similar opinions.

An Egyptian-brokered ceasefire began at 7 p.m. (16:00 GMT) today (Tuesday), after being officially accepted by the Israeli government just minutes before. [Snip] But despite the declarations terrorists in Gaza continued to launch rocket and mortar attacks even after the ceasefire took effect. At approximately 7:05 p.m. Red Alert sirens sounded in the Gaza Belt region, followed by yet more sirens minutes later. At 7:15 p.m. more rocket sirens were sounded in the Eshkol Regional Council area, indicating a further breach of the declared ceasefire. Since then, however, there have been no further reports of rocket attacks.

It might be summarised thus: “When you are in trouble, fan the flames of Islamist extremism so that your enemies will look even worse than you.” [Snip] The rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) has apparently convinced the likes of Lord Dannatt, a former Army commander, and Sir Christopher Meyer, once our Ambassador in Washington, that we must reach an accommodation with Assad in order to suppress a common threat.
