Video shows Israel Defence Force´s
controvertial ´knock on roof´

A video, released by Gaza-based Watania news agency shows the Israel Defence Force using a controversial "knock on roof" technique. The method uses a loud but non-lethal bomb to warn civilians that they will soon be making a strike on that target--one which they believe is linked to supposed terrorist activity. Watania news agency claim the IDF contacted Samir Nofal, the owner of the house as well as his neighbours, before firing the missile warning 15 minutes later. Five minutes after that, the agency claims the building was struck by two missiles from an F16 aircraft, destroying a large part

Actually Hamas saves money by incorporating the warning with the actual attack. Cheaper and more efficient.

There are no "civilians" in Gaza. There should be no warnings. Israel needs to immediately cut off all power and water to Gaza!

Where is the controversy here? I think the writer may mean a warfare technique that is far too humane. The idea about war is to pummel the enemy until he can no loner get up or is eradicated. Those are the rules played by the Palestinan, Hamas, Hezbelloah, Al Qaeda butchers. The IDF is being far too civilized.

All the warning shots do is give time for Hamas to move lots of women and children involuntary martyrs to those buildings -- along with MSM reports to witness all the bodies while they are still smoking.

After all the suicide bombers and rockets launched into Israel, they just need to give Hamas 1 day to clear out Gaza before it is flattened. Then do it!!!

Unilateral casualty-free war really serves no purpose, and will continue indefinitely, because the only way to defeat Hamas is to make the cost of supporting them prohibitive. By waiting for the eventual catastrophic bomb that will finally unleash the dogs of a full fledged war, Israel´s citizens will continue to be pawns in a game with no victory or end strategy.

It just gives the Muslim terrorists a chance to rush civilians to the building to act as human shields. If they really need to hit a target, they should just hit it.

Apparently there are the devil´s children in Paris shaking their fists at Israel. Why don´t they do that to GOD? It´s the same thing. Israel has no need to fear them....God is on the side of Israel....you will see. Throughout Scripture......all the stories of the Jewish nation has shown they were outnumbered.......then God showed up and gave them the victory. Start with the story of Gideon.

The vid mentions that they bring their human shields into the building and onto the roof to hold off the attack. It is Hamas that is sacrificing the civilians and the Israel forces should always follow through with the attack shortly after the knock on roof. Those who object to this warning are no better than the terrorists sacrificing civilians. Don´t play this game with barbarians.

Cats have provided the web with funny videos and pictures providing countless viral hits--but Simon’s Cat is the unlikely megastar. His charming animated, black-and-white adventures have now amassed more than 500m views on YouTube, and led to books and merchandising that funds an entire studio in London. He is a phenomenon that simply would not have emerged without the web. This week, however, the animators behind Simon’s Cat, led by creator Simon Tofield, took an even more internet-savvy path. In a bid to fund a full-length short film, in colour, they’ve turned to online crowd-funding site Indiegogo to raise some

Sinn Féin, the political wing of the terrorist Provisional IRA, pulled a pro-Palestinian stunt in the Irish parliament, the Dáil, yesterday during which Gerry Adams, party leader and alleged former IRA leader, manoeuvred members of both government and opposition into standing for a minute’s silence as a show of solidarity with Gaza. Adams, in a move that was out of order, turned to the Speaker and said: "I ask you to invite the Dáil to stand for one minute in solidarity with the people of Gaza and the Middle East." With worldwide anger at the cruel sacrifice of the 298 people killed in the skies over Ukraine on Thursday boiling up, Western leaders from President Obama down are pointing the finger of responsibility at Vladimir Putin. There was something almost beautiful about the white ribbons tied to stakes as they fluttered in the wind; some sitting amid a sea of golden corn, others poking from clusters of yellow and blue wildflowers. But then you saw that these were the most macabre of markings, each one representing the final landing place for hundreds of human beings slaughtered in the sky last week. For this is the grimmest of graveyards. New seismic hazard maps updated for the first time since 2008 show highest risk west but also increased risk east. The East Coast experienced one of its largest quakes for 100 years in 2011. The 5.8 magnitude quake was centred on rural Virginia but was felt by hundreds of thousands of people, including in Washington DC.

It is at times like these, when he is pushed kicking and screaming into the crucible, that Obama’s callowness shows. For his supporters, that jejune, jocular air has been a plus for almost six years. At a political event in Wilmington, Delaware, on Thursday, President Obama devoted only 40 seconds to the shooting down of the Malaysian airline, his first statement to the world following the news. His emotionless reference to the attack as ‘a terrible tragedy’ seemed disconnected from the horrific moment, particularly as he immediately reverted to script to praise his administration and criticise Republicans.
