Sandra Fluke: Can she win

Sacramento, CA - The former Georgetown University law student who gained national attention for being denied a chance to testify in Congress for health plan contraception coverage — and then was subjected to degrading comments by radio host Rush Limbaugh — is hoping to make public policy of her own. Sandra Fluke is running as a first-time candidate for a seat in California´s state Senate to represent some of the most affluent communities of Los Angeles County, a district that stretches from the Hollywood Hills to the Palos Verdes peninsula. In a district where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1, Fluke is campaigning on

Comments:
No BIAS by author of this article. The "affluent" should make sure she doesn´t divert her campaign contributions for birth control. Wouldn´t want to have her accused of sleeping her way to the top.

The fact remains that if Rush hadn´t made those comments, no one would have ever heard of Fluke and she wouldn´t be running for anything. She might, if she were lucky, be an associate in some D.C. law office.

The sham hearing for Fluke was the tip off that this dem activist was no ordinary Georgetown Law student.
At cornell she " distinguished" herself for preventing a pro life advocate from speaking.
Her faux birth control of 3000 per year was risible.
As with most childless Dems - she will no doubt demand we finance all these illegals " for the children"- what about poor American children?.

Any state that would elect the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Jerry Brown, Maxine Waters, Henry Waxman and Obama over and over again, would without hesitation, send a low-born gutter slut like Sandra Fluke straight to the state senate, congress and then finally the White House.

She has money to "loan"to her campaign, yet wants someone else to pay for her abortificants?

President Obama´s weekly remarks : Hi, everybody. Our businesses have now added nearly 10 million new jobs over the past 52 months. The unemployment rate is at its lowest point since September 2008 — the fastest one-year drop in nearly 30 years. 401(k)s are growing, fewer homes are underwater, and for the first time in more than a decade, business leaders around the world have declared that the world’s number one place to invest isn’t China; it’s the United States of America — and our lead is growing. None of this is an accident. It’s thanks to the resilience and resolve of the American people that our country has recovered faster

With the fighting in Gaza intensifying daily, the ruling militant group Hamas is finding itself pushed to the limit. Trying to match Israel’s vast military might is an impossible task, and even finding the resources to launch rocket attacks against Israeli targets could only be achieved by heavy foreign investment. (Cut) The militant Palestinian organization has been a firm fixture on the United States’ Foreign Terrorist Organizations list since 1997. Hamas’ only hope is its neighbors in the Arab World. Hamas has two clear allies, according to Middle East experts: Qatar and Turkey. Both have given Hamas their public support and financial assistance

The Bible Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri, invited National Guard personnel to be honored at its annual Vacation Bible School as part of “God’s Rescue Squad” — but the troops never showed because the military forbids them from attending such an event. “We were going to thank them for protecting our religious liberty,” Pastor Kent Hogan told Fox News. “It was more of a promotion for the military — to show the kids what the military does.” The church, which had held similar events earlier in the week for the local fire department, paramedics and the county sheriff’s department, was told that federal regulations

State transportation officials are moving forward with a controversial plan to add toll lanes to a busy stretch of the 405 Freeway in Orange County despite strong opposition from nearby cities who argue the so-called "Lexus lanes" will hurt average commuters. In December, Orange County Transportation Authority board members opted not to support the toll lanes in favor of a plan that would add one free lane in each direction, even though they were warned at the time that state officials may override the decision anyway. On Friday, the California Department of Transportation announced it was doing just that, arguing the toll lanes would

Law enforcement and intelligence agencies want to be able to wiretap social media, instant message and chat services. But building in ways to wiretap these kinds of communication can lead to less secure systems, say technical experts, including former National Security Agency officials. Some security experts suggest hacking as an alternative, but other experts – including FBI officials -- say that method poses serious risks. Right now, only phone companies, broadband providers and some Internet phone services are required by law to build in intercept capabilities, but the government wants to extend that requirement to online

The president’s demeanor is worrying a lot of people. From the immigration crisis on the Mexican border to the Islamic State rising in Mesopotamia, Barack Obama seems totally detached from the world’s convulsions. President Obama insists on flirting with impeachment even as House Republican leaders insist there’s no such possibility. Obama uses a passive-aggressive strategy that can be judged as a political maneuver, a personality disorder, or both. Secure in the knowledge that impeachment is not the same as removal from office, Mr. Obama brings up the topic on his own and with bold defiance. Martyrdom goes well with a Messiah complex and Mr. Obama’s speeches are a non-stop litany of depicting himself as a victim of Republicans. Already operating beyond the constitutional bounds of presidential power, Mr. Obama’s strategy is to push the bounds
