U.S. classrooms prepare for flood

The record flood of Central American children crossing the U.S. border is stretching funds and setting off improvisation at public schools. While politicians spend the summer fighting over how to turn back the tide, school leaders across the country are struggling to absorb a new student population the size of Newark, New Jersey. More than 40,000 children, many of them fresh from violent, harrowing journeys, have been released since October to stateside relatives as courts process their cases. "These kids were homesick and heartbroken," said Robin Hamby, a family specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools in suburban Washington,

I knew this was coming. My daughter is only 8 months old but there are tons of kids in our neighborhood and we go to the park often. I emailed the local school district to find out what their plan is for keeping our kids safe and healthy. I´m terrified my baby will be exposed to something and she´s so young. The person responded that all children must be up to date on vaccines. That´s it. Did I mention we are in the north Houston area? How many of these illegal kids will wind up here? This situation makes me furious. My husband and I are doing everything we can to give our daughter a good life and keep her safe, just like every other parent here. I hate feeling so powerless.

Heard on Fox News that the border patrol is actually located 45 miles inside our border (I think that was on Judge Jeanine regarding the Texas border) - what good does that do?

In case you have to received the message: "Get your Anglo kids the H out of our schools!"

And you really should heed that message as soon as possible. But, keep on paying for the public Mexican/Guatemalan/Honduran "Owned"schools! And pay for your kid to be home schooled. Then shut up about it or be called a racist!

Fairfax County deserves to be flooded with the illegal invading gangbangers since it is the most leftist county in Virginia and the one responsible, through voter fraud, for foisting McAwful onto this once wonderful red state.

The call to home school is going to run into the Common Core roadblock I´m afraid.

It´s my understanding that in order to graduate HS the standards will be aligned with Common Core, the ACT, SAT tests will also be Common Cored.

So, my question is how will home schoolers deal with this? I can´t see how a home school teacher/parent will ever be able to decipher the math.

On the day Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg became wealthier than the founders of Google and Amazon, his pro-amnesty group launched a letter-writing campaign to Congress to push for permanent comprehensive amnesty legislation. On Thursday, FWD.us, which has spent millions of dollars on both sides of the aisle to push comprehensive amnesty legislation, urged amnesty advocates to write letters to their Representatives urging action on amnesty legislation. The online application asks supporters to: Tell your story of why immigration reform matters to you. Then, enter your information and we´ll take care of mailing the letter to your representative!

White House Fears Impeachment

As is always the case with anything involving former-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, our unbiased, objective, not-at-all-liberal media couldn´t wait to mock her impeachment case against President Obama -- but not everyone is laughing. According to reporting from The Hill, The White House fears exactly that should the president take executive action to grant amnesty to thousands of illegals. Senior White House advisers are taking very seriously the possibility that Republicans in Congress will try to impeach President Obama, especially if he takes executive action to slow deportations. Dan Pfeiffer, a senior adviser to Obama, said Friday that the White House

Israel is leaning toward rejecting US Secretary of State John Kerry´s proposal for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, Channel 10 reported on Friday. Qatar has been accused by Israel of providing financing and political support to Hamas. SALEM – Oregon is taking steps to ban smoking on all 362 miles of ¬Pacific coast beaches. The move this week by the state Parks and Recreation Department follows an earlier ban on smoking at most other state park properties. It’s partly a response to concerns that the earlier smoking ban, enacted in February, will push more smokers onto the coastline, said Chris Havel, an agency spokesman. The ban would reduce litter on beaches and ensure consistent rules throughout the state parks system, too, he said. The agency is taking public comment on the proposal through Aug. 29 and will
