Christie: Gay Marriage “Settled”
In New Jersey But Republicans
Shouldn’t Give Up Fight

Time Magazine, by Zeke J Miller

Original Article

Nashville - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Saturday that while same-sex marriage is “settled” in New Jersey, it’s not time for opponents to give up the fight. Speaking to reporters at the National Governors Association, Christie said it is not time for Republicans to drop the issue, which is entrenched in the party’s platform but contributes to the party’s difficulty with younger voters. “I don’t think that there’s going to be some major referee who’s going to say now it’s time to stop,” he said, referencing his own opposition to the unions. “Certainly I’m not going to, because these are opinions that I feel strongly about.”

Comments:
Christie weighs in on a hot button issue with conservative GOP voters.

Christie´s answer was about as responsive to the question as Hillary Clinton´s lawyerly answers are.
He really didn´t say a damn thing and was afraid to say how HE really felt or tried to persuade anyone.
This guy is NOT a leader.

Why are hot button issues considered "settled" only after the leftists get their way? Because leftists, unlike our supposedly conservative leaders, never ever give up or give in until they get their way.

There´s a lesson there. Apparently our leaders never learn that lesson.

#3, he gets more dates that way.

Man in his hubris can pretend to ignore God´s Natural Law, but it never ends well. Earlier this week Governor Moonbeam of the People´s Republic of Kalifornia signed a bill that removes the words "husband" and "wife" from California law. I´m hoping for a ringside seat when old Jerry stands before the Throne at the Last Judgement.

Gay marriage is settled in NJ.
Sharia law is settled in NJ.
High taxes are settled, but subject to further climbing in NJ.

Why would any reasonable person even consider voting for this nitwit.

Why is Jimmy Carter

Washington - Jimmy Carter is scheduled to be the keynote speaker this weekend at the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). (Snip) Carter raised eyebrows recently by calling Hamas a legitimate Palestinian political group that Israel and the United States should recognize. Hamas is designated by the US State Department as a terrorist organization, and the group´s founding charter calls for the destruction of Israel. But it’s important to note upfront that ISNA is not Hamas. It’s one of the most prominent umbrella groups representing American Muslims, the vast majority of whom are law-abiding citizens.

Dallas - Texas Gov. Presidential leadership is needed now more than ever,” Perry told nearly 3,000 activists gathered in a hotel ballroom here for a summit organized by the Koch brothers-backed Americans for Prosperity. Perry scolded Obama for dropping the ball on ISIS, and on border security. “ISIS is not the junior varsity. It is a clear and present danger to

Brownsville, TX - A federal judge in Texas denied Wednesday a conservative activist´s request for an emergency stay to stop the government from transporting immigrants who entered the country illegally in South Texas to other states or releasing them on their own recognizance. In a complaint filed in July, Orly Taitz argued that by sending immigrant children and families to various states while South Texas was overwhelmed by an immigration surge, the U.S. government created a public health risk. She called for a two-month quarantine and medical screening for all immigrants detained after entering the country.

New York - The FBI is investigating whether Russian hackers staged a cyber-attack on major Wall Street businesses this month in retaliation for US sanctions imposed over Ukraine, Bloomberg News reported last night. The Russian hackers allegedly stole large amounts of sensitive data from JP Morgan Chase and at least one other bank, according to sources familiar with the investigation. The FBI is also reportedly looking into possible links to recent hacking of large European financial institutions. The sophistication of the attacks appeared to be beyond the capability of normal criminal hackers, according to Bloomberg.

I feel confident in saying that most Americans are disgusted by the perfectly legal practice of U.S. companies avoiding taxes by incorporating in another country. So why does it take a whopper of a story to get the media to pay attention? Burger King, as you know, is moving to buy the Canadian chain Tim Hortons, and this is more about dollars than doughnuts. The last two Republican candidates for president have been among the weakest GOP candidates in 50 years. Barack Obama presented Mitt Romney with a gift in 2012: A struggling economy, sluggish growth, a paucity of jobs, and a health care law that was extremely unpopular.
