As NBC reports, “´The Bear is Loose´: Obama Strolls to Starbucks in D.C.” Hear him roar! Elsewhere we read: CNN: “Obama, the ‘Bear,’ is loose and trying to reconnect with voters” ABC: “Obama ‘The Bear’ Lets Loose in Denver” Huffington Post: ´The Bear Is Loose!´ Obama Goes Out And About” Washington Post: “The bear is loose’: Obama escapes from the White House” Whitehouse.gov explicates: Going all the way back to the early days of the campaign, whenever President Obama shook off his schedule and busted out of the bubble, we would say "The Bear is loose." A bear is loose? So tranquilize it and transport it to the very very remote forests to fend for itself and go back to nature. There are forests in Kenya, I´ve seen them.

The bear is loose (which was probably thought up by one of Obama´s frat-boy aides) is absolutely ridiculous - the last thing he resembles is a bear, which is a big tough lumbering animal. What best describes O is the way he leaves AF1 - doing what I call the ´girly-squirrely bunny hop´ down the steps.

Recently, To commemorate Obama´s stellar performance as pResident in our White House, I redesigned the Presidential seal to something more fitting of his personality.

The American Eagle with its arrows and olive branch just did not seem to fit and the only thing about a bear that resembles Obama is the fact that it only hibernates half a year, while with Obama it´s the entire year.

After going through almost all the animal kingdom, I finally settled on the skunk. My reasoning is as follows:

The skunk is half white and half black and the one thing that it does better than any other creature is making a big stink.

I posted the special Obama Seal on the Connection Politics Wall for any one who might want to use it for any purpose at all.

Poppycock. Let me see. Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. to Barry Soetoro back to Barack Obama, now to Bear. Uh huh. Rapper types love changing their names.

(Bear, incidentally, was the nickname for Grateful Dead recording engineer and LSD superstar producer Augustus Stanley Owsley, III. Obama may never have done Owsley acid, but whatever he´s on is potent and mind-rotting.

Jack Nicklaus´s nickname is the Golden Bear, but Obama will always be a duffer, regardless how much golf he plays. He just doesn´t have any physical co-ordination or strength. And Nicklaus, like 99+% of PGA Tour players, is politically conservative. In thirty years of knowing or working with over 3,000 golf pros, I met exactly one outspoken Democrat whose name I will not divulge.)

This feeble attempt at a masculine sounding moniker is even more ridiculous than Calvin Broadus to Snoop Doggy Dog to Snoop Dog to Snoop Lion (right-o, Calvin!). At least Snoop earns his own money.

U.S. jets began airstrikes in the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Syria, early Tuesday, a U.S. official told CNN. It´s the first strikes against the terror group inside the country since President Barack Obama´s announcement this month that he was prepared to expand the American efforts beyond targets in Iraq. All foreign partners participating in the strikes with the United States are Arab countries, a senior U.S. military official told CNN. Those nations are Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. The U.S. and "partner nation forces" began striking ISIS targets using fighters, bombers and Tomahawk missiles, Pentagon spokesman

Should we worry about mission creep? Only one week after President Obama said that he would not send combat troops to fight ISIS, Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the Senate that U.S. forces could "accompany Iraqi forces in attacks" if the situation deteriorated. As President Obama prepares to address the United Nations General Assembly this Wednesday, Americans are naturally wondering where this will all end. Some have raised the specter of Vietnam. After all, President John F. Kennedy sent fewer advisors to Vietnam during his presidency than President Obama is sending to Syria right

The totalitarian impulse is all too familiar: since I represent Progress (and, of course, everyone who acts in the political realm fervently believes that he represents Progress) those who stand in my way are retrograde–evil, really–forces, that belong in the dustbin of history. Therefore, I might have to lock them up or kill them to ensure that Progress prevails. Until recently, the totalitarian impulse has been blessedly absent from American politics. Now, however, the American left has caught the totalitarian bug that infected Lenin, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Castro, and so many others. A case in point:

It didn't take long for the Islamic State to exploit the weaknesses in President Obama’s campaign against it. Last week the militants launched an offensive against a Kurdish-populated area of northern Syria — where Mr. Obama has yet to approve U.S. airstrikes or supply aid to local forces. By Monday, more than 130,000 people had fled across the border to Turkey, and local commanders said they desperately needed help to defend the strategic town of Kobane. Mr. Obama has been slow-walking the approval of a Pentagon campaign plan including airstrikes in Syria while seeking commitments from nations in the region.

The Secret Service commissioned a classified mock attack two decades ago that found an easy way to pierce the White House security zone: Overwhelm Secret Service officers on the compound with six to eight attackers climbing over the fence at the same time. That vulnerability remains, despite the creation of specially trained counterassault and surveillance teams recommended at the time, according to government officials who were briefed on the findings and requested anonymity to discuss sensitive information. Securing the White House grounds has been further complicated over the past two years by severe staffing shortages and high turnover rates in

The U.S. military expanded its war against the Islamic State late Monday by sending waves of warplanes and launching Tomahawk missiles into Syria to attack an array of targets in an aggressive and risk-laden operation that marks a new phase in the conflict. In a midterm election year in which the political climate and map of battleground states clearly favors Republicans, many GOP candidates are nevertheless embracing some Democratic priorities in an effort to win over skeptical voters. The shift is evident in some of the most contentious Senate and gubernatorial races — in traditional swing states as well as decidedly conservative ones such as Alaska and Arkansas — where Republican nominees have endorsed increases to the minimum wage, legalizing medical marijuana or granting in-state college tuition to some illegal immigrants. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.
