Dems Trounce House GOP
in Grass-Roots Donations

Breitbart Big Government, by Mike Flynn

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 7/11/2014 4:32:48 PM

The DCCC, the campaign arm for Rep. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, has raised $22 million more than the House GOP for the fall elections. That result is surprising enough, as Democrats´ minority status gives them little political leverage in the House. More surprising, though, is that Democrats have raised almost three times as much money, $46 million v. $17 million, as Republicans from small-dollar grass roots donors. The political landscape and recent polling would suggest the opposite situation.

Comments:
Interesting, looks like the "base" is paying attention to the "establishment".

As they continue to buy the "best government" money can buy. Apparently big business, big education, and big labor are worried and doubling down on what worked in the past.

Do we still have that law that says small donations do not need to be disclosed?? Barry used that to get all kinds of tiny donations that added up to millions in 2008. I seemed to remember something about small credit and debit card donations (siphoning??)...and of course foreign donations.

# 5 You have a point, however the magnitude of the difference indicates (to me) grass roots right donors are better informed then those on the left who are merely driven by a philosophy that has been debunked at every turn.

As for the fund raising numbers - when the RINO leadership makes it a priority to war upon the grass roots rather than battle the opposition, what else do you expect? At this rate the votes cast in November will mirror these numbers. No wonder 0bama is laughing these days.

Now do a survey to find out how much money grass roots republicans/conservatives have given to individual candidates.

We don´t trust the RNC anymore and never will. We donate to individuals, not groups.

My money hasn´t gone to the Republican Party in a long, long time.

It goes directly to candidates that I believe in.

While they are all Republicans, they are usually not Republicans that get any support from the RNC. So I´m not giving the RNC a penny to help the Demon-RATS destroy our country by running RINO after RINO!!!

AUSTIN, Texas -- At an event today at the University of Texas Austin campus, Texas Governor Rick Perry reaffirmed his support of allowing illegal immigrant students to pay in-state tuition at Texas colleges and universities, while U.S. citizens from other states continue to pay higher out-of-state tuition rates. Perry made his remarks in a "One-on-One Conversation" with Texas Tribune CEO and Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith at the Texas Tribune Festival, an annual event organized by the online media outlet. Breitbart Texas made several queries to Governor Perry´s press office for comment, but as of press time, had not received a reply. A

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

After declaring war on the Tea Party and often showing nothing but contempt for grassroots conservatives that powered Republicans to record gains in the 2010 midterm elections, Karl Rove whined that the GOP may not take back the Senate this year because of the lack of enthusiasm for his establishment-approved candidates. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Rove notes that even though Obama´s "job approval numbers are lousy, no Democrat in a competitive Senate race polls regularly above 50%, GOP enthusiasm is high, and independents are trending Republican... each passing day provides evidence as to why a GOP Senate majority is

How can Republicans recapture the U.S. Senate from Harry Reid and the Democrats? A new Politico poll points to a winning strategy — if GOP leaders have the courage to use the remaining seven weeks to nationalize the elections around one game-changing issue. Under the headline, “GOP has edge on immigration in midterms,” Politico offered a surprising review of battleground House and Senate races. The generally liberal publication found that two-thirds of likely voters disapprove of President Obama’s handling of the issue — and that even independent voters trust the GOP over the Democrats on the subject.

A fact that every politician and news talking-head in the world seems to be certain of is that you can’t win a war by air power alone. Even the media-hired retired generals throw it out as an absolute truth of warfare, as if it had fallen from the lips of Sun Tzu himself. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”
