Polar vortex to hit US with
midsummer cold blast

New York Post, by Chris Perez

It’s the revenge of the polar vortex! A frigid cold air system will be moving through the eastern United States next week, leading to intense weather conditions reminiscent of last year’s dreaded polar vortex. The approaching weather system is expected to bring overwhelmingly below-average temperatures to parts of the northern and northeastern US next week, beginning Monday or Tuesday, according to the Washington Post. States located in areas such as the High Plains, the central US and the Great Lakes could see temperatures 20 to 30 degrees below their current averages. That means people normally dealing with scorching temperatures sometimes

Comments:
I just checked my "weather bug" for 10-day forecast. No vortex temps showing up during that time. It´s barely reached the high 80s so far this summer.

Actually, it´s going into the triple digits here in Dallas and the environmental terrorist act like it´s a BAD thing to drop 20-30 degrees. Both they and weather reporters are jackasses for trying to scare our children on summer break.

Low 80s here by midweek, unheard of for July in Middle Tennessee. Usually 90+ like it will this weekend.
I welcome the moderate temps.

A lawyer in the IRS ethics office is facing the possibility of being disbarred, according to records that accuse her of lying to a court-appointed board and hiding what she’d done with money from a settlement that was supposed to go to two medical providers who had treated her client. The disciplinary arm of the D.C. Court of Appeals has recommended that Takisha McGee, a section manager in the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility, lose her law license over the charge, which stems from a personal injury case she worked about a year before she joined the tax agency. The corporate headquarters of the new company will be in Canada, which stands to help lower Burger King´s taxes. Such tax inversions have been criticized by President Barack Obama and Congress because they mean a loss of tax revenue for the U.S. government. Burger King and Tim Hortons said the chains will continue to be run independently and that Burger King will still operate out

While President Obama dithers, Congress needs to act against ISIS. House and Senate leaders should reconvene Congress this week and take the unprecedented step of authorizing military action against ISIS for President Obama’s signature. Customarily, a president takes the first step, presenting a draft Authorization for the Use of Military Force (similar to a declaration of war), then negotiating with Congress on the goals and scope. But Obama’s intentions are unknown, so Congress should seize the initiative. The world is waiting for an American response to the beheading of James Foley and ISIS’s explicit threats to attack this country and

Between August 14-17 a plurality of only 45% believed Ferguson residents reacted unreasonably following the shooting of Michael Brown. Four days later that number jumped to a clear majority of 56%. Those that consider the resident reaction reasonable only increased from 25% to 27%. Despite a week of heavy and heavily biased reporting, support for the

American black people are being lied to and the lies destroy them. They are being lied to by corrupt people like Attorney General Eric Holder and Al Sharpton Jr. and Jesse Jackson and the leftists in our news media. They are being told that their poverty is due to prejudice and that the police are targeting them out of bigotry. They are being told that the dreadful existence of slum life grew out of slavery and is being perpetuated by hatred. None of this is true. Poor black people are poor because they have no family structure and get little education.

Amid the hysteria over the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., it might be lost that most black and white Americans believe they’re not out to get each other. A new Pew Research survey shows that 75 percent of whites and 64 percent of blacks say their groups get along together “pretty well” if not “very well.” It’s a bleaker view for Hispanics, 53 percent of whom say the same. Ferguson fell into the national media spotlight on Aug. 9 when Brown, who was unarmed and black,” was shot dead by Darren Wilson, a white police officer. A St. Louis grand jury is currently deliberating whether to charge Wilson of a crime.
