ISIS May Target Mecca for Destruction
Breitbart Texas, by Awr Hawkins

Original Article

Posted By:mitzi, 7/11/2014 1:30:43 PM

As the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) leaves a path of destroyed churches and mosques in its wake, some wonder whether Mecca may also be in line for destruction. According to Fox News, ISIS "jihadists, led by self-proclaimed descendant of Prophet Muhammad Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have already bulldozed or blown up some of the most sacred places in Iraq." Georgetown University professor Yvonne Haddad says ISIS sees "themselves as the last defenders of Islamic civilization and want to eradicate anything they see as an enemy of Islam, and any Muslim they perceive as compromising with the West." They

How to win friends and influence people! Bettors might wager that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi´s $7,000 vanity timepiece might soon be in danger of destruction, along with what the watchband is connected to.

ISIS is not nearly as important as news organizations make them out to be. Most Iraqi Sunnis (not to mention Shias, Kurds, and Turkmen) want nothing to do with a Stone Age caliphate. Admittedly, things are bad wherever ISIS, riding around in abandoned American military vehicles, has sunk its roots. But those roots are shallow, and the will to rid the region of them is strong and growing. In time ISIS will be a bad memory, its leaders and soldiers two-dimensional, dead, and reeking of their enemies´ urine.

It´s a shame Obama hasn´t at least sent his drone fleet overhead to pick away at the Islamist scab, but his self-appointed duty is to reduce American influence around the world while in the meantime transforming the Nation into a Third World socialist latrine that will elect more of his ilk to office, the better to complete the transformation.

It´s instructive that in biblical endtime prophesy, the EU, Russia, China, and, of course, Israel are all present. The Western superpower, the USA, is not.

If the way this administration wages — or fails to wage — war just isn’t the damnedest thing our aging eyeballs have ever seen we don’t know what is. We’re put in this dudgeon by the news reports that the White House is “weighing” air strikes in respect of Iraq. The Congress has long since given the president the right to go to war in Iraq. There have been all sorts of editorials and opinions in the public press advising the repeal of the authorizations, but the Congress has decided not to repeal them. The commander-in-chief doesn’t have to ask

In the back of a cavernous hall, standing behind rows of solemn-looking men, an Iraqi politician known for her passion began to shriek. Her name was Vian Dakhil: the lone representative of the Yazidi people in Iraq’s parliament. And she was asking for someone, anyone, to listen. The Islamic State had just expelled thousands of her people from the northern town of Sinjar. Stranded on a barren mountain without food or water, they faced extermination. Women, she said, were being sold as sexual slaves. Children, she said, were dying. Someone, she said, must take notice. “We are being slaughtered!” she

Another classic from the “promise of hashtag” crowd. During today’s State Department press briefing, deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf addressed the unfolding crisis in Iraq. That crisis has many sources, but its chief source is ISIL. ISIL has taken hold of a large swath of northern Iraq and is killing anyone and everyone who gets in their way, or who refuses to bow to their take on Islam. Currently ISIL has about 40,000 men, women and children holed up on top of a mountain, starving them to death. A reporter asks if there is a “confrontation to stop” ISIL’s spread. Harf:

On Thursday, the al Qaeda spinoff group the Islamic State seized numerous towns in northern Iraq that are home to much of the country’s minority Christian population, sending tens of thousands of them fleeing further into the Kurdish-dominated region to avoid the unforgiving and deadly extremist group. President Obama gave a press conference this evening. He started a little over an hour late without explanation. Reporters stuck to asking questions that they evidently knew Obama would be comfortable answering. None of them asked him about any of his administration scandals. ABC’s Jon Karl, usually a tough questioner of Obama and his spokesmen, asked a rambling question that played right into the Democrats’ “economic patriotism” canard. Despite the fact that the president showed a passionless, bloodless, disinterested face to the world, he still managed to do some damage. Chris Jansing of CNN asked Obama if the sanctions against Russia are working.

Former president Jimmy Carter called on the West to recognize the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hamas as a legitimate "political actor" that represents the bulk of the Palestinian population. Carter made the comments in an article he co-wrote with former Irish president Mary Robinson in a new issue of Foreign Policy magazine. It was published as a cease-fire took hold Tuesday after four weeks of fighting between Israel and Hamas, which governs Gaza. In a sharply worded rebuke to Israel, Carter and Robinson said, "There is no humane or legal justification for the way the Israeli Defense Forces are conducting this war."
