But hasn´t the Obama administration and the other assorted do-gooders been telling us that these children were being sent here to save them from the gangs running rampant in their Central American home countries?

Some of these ´children´ could properly be labeled enemy combatants. Sheriff Babeu in the Pinal County just south of Phoenix claims the government is dumping these kids in his county without telling him who they are. He´s arrested a number of them and they are so-called kids who have been arrested and deported many times already.

Union leader derides

LOS ANGELES — The president of the nation´s second-largest teachers union said Friday that President Barack Obama´s education chief has turned his back on the concerns of educators and parents, but she stopped short of calling for his ouster. Teachers unions have been clashing with the Obama administration over its support for charter schools and its push to use student test scores as part of teacher evaluations, a relationship that further frayed after Education Secretary Arne Duncan spoke in support of a California judge´s ruling last month that struck down tenure and other job protections for the state´s public school

Almost half the differences in chimpanzees´ intelligence is due to their genetic heritage, according to a study published in Current Biology magazine and which contributes to understanding the cognitive abilities of primates, including humans. The research was headed by Jennifer Shaeffer and William Hopkins of the Neuroscience Institute of Georgia State University and Jami Russell of the Yerkes National Primate Research Center in Atlanta. The authors recalled that the role played by genes in human IQ has been a matter of debate for ages. "As is the case in humans, genes matter when it comes to cognitive abilities in chimpanzees. WASHINGTON - New enrollments in Obamacare´s Medicaid expansion and other healthcare programs for the poor have reached 6.7 million people since the launch of President Barack Obama´s healthcare reforms last year, the administration said on Friday. The figures, which include state Medicaid plans that existed before Obamacare and the Children´s Health Insurance Program, show enrollment climbing by 920,000 people during May, the latest month for which data is available. All told, new enrollments are up 11.4 percent since last October´s Obamacare rollout. Eight million Americans have also signed up for private health insurance through new state-based Obamacare insurance marketplaces. But while private

Federal health officials on Friday disclosed a new safety breach at a high-security U.S. government laboratory involving dangerous avian flu, a lapse that came to light as they investigated the potential exposure of researchers to live anthrax bacteria. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said an internal probe found multiple failures by individual scientists and a lack of agency-wide safety policies led to the potential exposure of more than 80 lab workers to live anthrax at its Atlanta campus last month. Researchers in a high-security bioterror lab sent samples of what they thought were inactivated bacteria to colleagues in

According to Border Patrol sources, violent MS-13 gang members are using the Nogales processing center in Arizona as a recruitment hub and as a transfer point for gang members to get into the United States. The Red Cross has set up phone banks inside the processing center so unaccompanied minors can make phone calls to family members inside the United States and back home in Central America. According to sources, those phones are also being used by MS-13 members to communicate with gang members already in the United States and operating in cities like Atlanta, New York and Chicago. Does President Obama

By obfuscating terminology liberals sometimes can be heard to claim that President Obama has deported more illegal aliens than any previous president. NOT TRUE. There are two types of border enforcement actions: “Returns” and “Removals”. “Returns” are those stopped at the border and sent immediately back; the ones caught. “Removals” are those who get through the border and are caught later on. No previous administration has counted “returns” as deported, until Obama. What Obama is doing is counting those who are stopped at the border, the “returns”, as deported.

Milton police are reopening the investigation into last year’s death of a local concert hall owner following the recent arrest of a high-end call girl from metro Atlanta who California police said injected a Google executive with heroin and left him to die. Channel 2 Action News reported that the call girl, 2005 Northview High School graduate Alix Tichelman, was dating Dean Riopelle just before his death last September, and had been arrested two weeks before Riopelle died for biting the 53-year-old owner of Atlanta’s Masquerade concert venue. While news reports last fall indicated that Riopelle died of an apparent heart attack,

President Barack Obama’s request for $3.7 billion to address thousands of children entering the U.S. illegally at the Mexican border is being met by obstacles in Congress from lawmakers in both parties. Republicans, who have long advocated tougher border security, are demanding legislation to speed deportation of the minors in exchange for new spending. Some House Republicans also say the funds must be offset with cuts elsewhere. Although Obama wants to expedite the deportation of Central American children, many Democrats in Congress disagree with that approach. On July 8, the White House submitted its emergency budget request to the House of Representatives (which holds the "power of the purse" under our Constitution) to deal with the "humanitarian crisis" on our southern border. The budget request, which totals $3.7 billion, immediately drew flack from many representatives who called it a blank check. Responding in the media, White House Director of the Domestic Policy Council Cecilia Muñoz said that Congress cannot have it both ways: criticizing the administration while withholding the funding to effectively handle the crisis. Having studied the request, it seems clear to me that it

Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

President Obama on Thursday claimed he is “not that partisan of a guy” as he mocked calls in the Republican Party for his impeachment. On a single day this week in Denver, President Obama scarfed down pizza and drinks with strangers, shot pool with Colorado’s governor and shook hands with a guy on the street wearing a horse mask. His top staffers are promoting these stops on Twitter with the hashtag #TheBearIsLoose — a term one of Obama’s aides coined in 2008 when the candidate would defy his schedule. President Obama’s ultimate weakness may be that he believes his own blarney. A year ago, Mr. Obama boasted in a “fireside” Web chat that his “is the most transparent administration in history.” There was not the slightest hint of irony. He may actually believe it. But three-dozen organizations representing newspapermen and other journalists, mostly liberals, beg to differ. In a testy letter to the president on Tuesday, the group decried the “slick non-answers” and cold shoulders they’re getting from Mr. Obama’s representatives, who have restricted access to any information they consider embarrassing to the administration. “The stifling of free expression,” the signers
