Felon, Former Black Panther Party Leader
Hosts Fundraiser for Democratic
Senate Candidate Michelle Nunn

National Review Online, by Eliana Johnson

The suggested contribution amounts for entry to a Capitol Hill fundraiser held Tuesday evening for Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn rose to $2,600 a head. The special guest advertised on the invitation was former Democratic senator Sam Nunn, the candidate’s father, who represented Georgia in Washington for over two decades. There was another guest, however, who probably turned more heads. Among the co-hosts of the of the event was Virtual Murrell, an early leader of the Black Panther Party during its militant phase and later a political consultant who, in the mid 1990s, spent time in jail for using his

Felons protect each other inside the walls, also for a fee. IMO, the only thing separating felon from most other Democrats is the prison door.

It is almost impossible to keep track of and count all the Marxist communists Americans who hate freedom loving in this administration and the population in general. It is amazing how many Americans think they would be better off under slavery of Marxist communism than be free to take care of themselves. We know why the wealthy progressives, PC, liberals, atheists, etc. think that way. It is that they all hate religion especially Christianity as it is the only religion that preaches individual responsibility and not collectivism over the slaves to government and them as the elite leadership.

Michelle Nunn certainly has friends in high places! /s off/

FTA: “Our campaign was unaware of Mr. Murrell’s criminal history and disagrees with his comments,”

So, is it common for the candidate to invite folks to appear with her - people they don´t even know? Or was Murrell there for the ... ah... ´decorative´ qualities he might bring?

So, she´s a "political legacy". That should be enough to disqualify her right there!

The GOP are fools if they don´t jump on this.

Well, we have posters here who claim they´re going to work for Nunn and vote for her, on the grounds that the two Republican candidates aren´t sufficiently conservative. I´m sure this won´t present a conflict for them.

Oil Industry’s Taxes Create Odd

ANCHORAGE — Many Alaskans chart state history along a timeline of before oil and after, so crucial were those first big strikes in the late 1960s in making the state what it is today. Now a proposal to shake up the way oil companies are taxed — headed for a vote Tuesday in a statewide referendum — has stirred a passionate public debate. At stake is the fate of major tax breaks and incentives for the oil industry, part of a system that was pushed through the Republican-controlled Legislature last year by Gov. Sean Parnell, who billed it as a

Just when pundits were starting to agree that the odds are tipping in favor of the Republicans winning control of the Senate this November, reports of inquiries about potential misconduct by Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu may make the embattled Red state Democrat’s re-election fight may be another nail in her party’s midterms coffin. The story, published Friday night by the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reveals that in response to charges from her Republican challengers that she has been paying for campaign expenses, including flights, from official government funds rather than her private account, the senator has ordered an inquiry into the

ZAKHO, Iraq — A little more than a week ago, 23-year-old Assad Haig’s life took a nightmarish turn. Islamic State (IS) militants captured 63 of his relatives, members of the persecuted Yazidi community, when the extremist fighters overran the northern Iraqi town of Sinjar. One of the militants notified Haig, who works in the Kurdish capital of Erbil, about the harrowing kidnapping spree by phone. Only two of Haig’s family members managed to evade capture — his father, who fled to Mount Sinjar, and his 84-year-old grandmother, who was left behind by the militants in the family home with the

It would be the biggest change to the enforcement of immigration law in 20 years. To bring lawmakers on board, the president worked the phone. He buttonholed senators. It was 2007. President George W. Bush’s proposal to grant amnesty to millions unlawfully present in the United States was up for a vote. It lost. One-third of Senate Democrats voted against the procedural motion to move the bill. Some of the president’s own party balked as well. Now President Obama has his staff looking for loopholes in the law that would let him give “administrative” amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. If Congress won’t do

Sometimes I wonder if modern feminists are really a bunch of fun-loving, hyper-aware pranksters, conspiring to hoist an elaborate hoax upon the world. “Oh, Amanda, be real,” someone might type in a secret feminist chat room, chortling over a Diet Coke. “Isn’t this piece calling babies ‘time-sucking monsters’ that should die so you can freely watch “True Detective” a little over the top?” Another chat participant, reviewing a call for legalized abortion until birth, would type swiftly and frantically: “Jessica, come on, seriously? Don’t publish this—they’ll finally figure out that it’s all a joke!” Alas, I don’t think they’re messing

The news from Ferguson, Mo., has brought back unpleasant memories from the long-ago riots in Asbury Park, N.J. It was the summer of 1970, and I was a young teenager close enough to the action to be appropriately frightened. The riots I remember were also fueled by racial grievances, and there were similar issues with white officers and black rioters. And, just like the sad story unfolding in Missouri, a reporter was arrested in the Asbury Park riots. The claim is that he was "interfering with the police." There were other similarities as well, especially the confusion and competing storylines. An

She’s also being celebrated by liberals as a fighter for freedom in the arts, one who bravely confronted the closed-minded anti-communists in Washington—a stoic battler against Joe McCarthy and his “witch hunts.” Sorry, but reality is more complicated. The facts are that Lauren Bacall herself learned the truth about communism in Hollywood. She admitted to being badly duped by bad guys. She learned her lesson, even as her fellow

Violence continues in Ferguson, Missouri. It began on August 9 with the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager cut down by a white cop’s bullets. Peaceful demonstrations turned into looting, the local police went in with rubber bullets and tear gas, all hell broke loose and, eventually, Missouri’s governor pulled out the local police and sent in state officers instead. But the rioting only paused; it didn’t cease. They say a prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich, and this always seemed like hyperbole, until Friday night a Texas grand jury announced an indictment of governor Rick Perry. The “crime” for which Perry faces a sentence of 5 to 99 years in prison is vetoing funding for a state agency. The conventions of reporting — which treat the fact of an indictment as the primary news, and its merit as a secondary analytic question — make it difficult for people reading the news to grasp just how farfetched this indictment is. The Obama administration has done little to calm racial tensions as they spread from Manhattan to St. Louis to Los Angeles. Quite the opposite, some top officials have fueled African-American fears of racism with false accusations of anti-black discrimination. Attorney General Eric Holder’s race-baiting is no secret. Justice Department documents show the nation’s top cop gave thousands of dollars to help the Rev. Al Sharpton organize marches protesting the death of Trayvon Martin. Now he’s sent the civil-rights unit to St. Louis to do the same thing in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. Less known, however, is the role of Labor Secretary Thomas

McDonald’s has a problem. For the first time in 10 years, the company generated less revenue in a month than it did a year before, and it’s not a blip. The world’s biggest burger chain has been posting lagging results for some time, particularly in the United States.
