Texas Governor Rick Perry toured the U.S.-Mexico border today without President Barack Obama, who ultimately decided to return to Washington, D.C. this afternoon after making a pit stop for BBQ in Austin. Perry´s office says he took a boat ride down the Rio Grande river and a chopper tour of the Rio Grande Valley with the Texas Department of Public Safety this afternoon. Meanwhile, President Obama spoke at a Democratic Party fundraiser, met with someone who wrote him a letter and gave remarks on the economy before stopping by Franklin Barbeque, where he dropped more than $300 on food for

Did the Daily Mail just overlook the fact that Perry was on the border today was because Sean Hannity was on the border to interview Perry while cruising up and down the Rio Grande. Hannity was able to get Perry the air time to explain what he requested of obama without the LIB press only posting responses from their dear leader.

Hannity was with Gov. Perry and devoted his entire program tonight to an on the border report, which will be continued on tomorrow night´s Hannity program. Alarming details are exposed by those closest to this tragic situation, including law enforcement and the ranchers whose property is literally on the line, taking the most abuse by the illegal invasion. Gov. Perry has a knowledge of the grave situation which 0bama refuses to see.

As a Texan, I have over-all been pretty pleased with Gov. Perry. He has had a few flubs, but, all in all, he has been a solid conservative and I have rested easy at night knowing he was at the helm of my great state.

And, let´s face it, he would be about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times better of a president than the dictator-wanna-be that we have had for the last 6 years.

He has my vote if he runs again (unless Ted Cruz runs too)...

CHILMARK -- To the infinity pool and beyond! When President Barack Obama arrives for his fifth summer vacation on Martha´s Vineyard today, he may just want to chill out for a bit at his swanky new rental. The Obamas will unwind at a nearly $12 million property that features a seven-bedroom house along Vineyard Sound. The home, on Gosnold´s Way, is in a more secluded spot than the South Road house the first family rented last year, a location that caused traffic headaches. This summer´s 8,100-square-foot rental home has sweeping views of the Elizabeth Islands, a combination basketball and tennis

CHILMARK– President Barack Obama wasted no time heading to the golf links after arriving on Martha’s Vineyard Saturday afternoon for a two-week summer vacation just as the U.S. is engaged in airstrikes against Islamic militant targets in Iraq. Marine One touched down on Martha’s Vineyard at 12:41 p.m. President Obama, Michelle Obama and their daughter Malia headed to the motorcade, which soon departed. Obama’s other daughter, Sasha, will be joining the family later. The motorcade made a 20-minute drive to the vacation home in Chilmark where the Obama family will be staying. Political conservatives are the greatest threat to the nation, President Barack Obama suggested in a kid-glove interview with the New York Times. “The president mused, the biggest threat to America — the only force that can really weaken us — is us,” said the interviewer, Thomas Friedman. “Our politics are dysfunctional… societies don’t work if political factions take maximalist positions,” said Obama, who repeatedly claims to be a moderate stymied by the GOP’s supposed obstructionism and radicalism. “And the more diverse the country is, the less it can afford to take maximalist positions,” Obama added. Forty thousand followers of the Yazidi faith are huddling, terrified, on the side of Mount Sinjar, fearing that their women are going to be raped, enslaved or killed. Nearly a quarter of Iraq’s Christians have been driven from their homes in the past week alone. In theory, the Islamic State gave them the choice of converting, paying a fine, or leaving. In practice, many were murdered before they could even make that horrendous choice: the militants have, in the words of Canon Andrew White, vicar of Baghdad, “chopped off heads, chopped children in half, hanged people on crosses. Barack Obama and the Democrats have railed against the “do-nothing Congress” (translation: House Republicans) for nearly six years. So what are the facts? Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) recently addressed the charge: Currently, 352 bills that passed the House are awaiting action on Harry Reid’s desk. Of these bills: - 98% passed with bipartisan support – Nearly 70% passed with 2/3rds support or more – Over 50% passed with no opposition at all - And 55 were introduced by Democrats. And still, Harry Reid refuses to bring them up for a vote. So, surely the Democrats are confused, right? Of course

For me, watching the Food Network was always an easy escape from the stresses of daily life. There was just something calming about watching chefs in action, and this network had perfected Zen cooking. Speaking at the U.S.-Africa Summit earlier this week, Secretary of State John Kerry had a bit of astonishing advice for African leaders. While noting that Africa faces a starvation problem, he also admonished its leaders not to create more farms. The reason? Adding more farms would contribute to “global warming.” Yeah, he really said that: “Certain agricultural processes can actually release carbon pollution and actually contribute to the problem in the first place. It’s a twisted circle. Always complicated. But we also know that there are certain ways to change that. For example, rather than convert natural areas to new farmland, a process

PRESIDENT OBAMA was right to order military action to prevent a potential genocide in northern Iraq and to stop forces of the al-Qaeda-derived Islamic State from advancing on Baghdad or the Kurdish capital of Irbil. However, the steps the president authorized on Thursday amount to more of his administration’s half-measures, narrowly tailored to this week’s emergency and unconnected to any coherent strategy to address the conflagration spreading across the Middle East. While U.S. airstrikes and drops of supplies may prevent the terrorist forces from massacring the Yazidi sect or toppling the pro-Western regime in Kurdistan, Mr. Obama lacks a plausible
