‘The bear is loose’: Is Obama
breaking free or running away?

Bears, beer and horse heads: What exactly is going on with the leader of the free world? On a single day this week in Denver, President Obama scarfed down pizza and drinks with strangers, shot pool with Colorado’s governor and shook hands with a guy on the street wearing a horse mask. His top staffers are promoting these stops on Twitter with the hashtag #TheBearIsLoose — a term one of Obama’s aides coined in 2008 when the candidate would defy his schedule. More than five years into his presidency, Obama is trying to free himself from the constraints of office,

Given what has been seen of the coward. It is believed he is running as fast as his skinny black legs can carry him, slowed only by all the poop he has on his tricycle wheels.

Transplantation? Is it Barry Soetoro or is it Barry Durham or is it really the ridiculous Barack Hussein Obama? Whatever, the man is stupid. As in dumb as a stone. I am very sure his IQ is maybe 80-90. So that begs the question. Who is running the show? I suspect there are 3,4 or maybe 5 people in "charge". And that means no one is in charge and this is what we get.

If he wants his freedom so badly,I have a suggestion:
He can resign now rather than later. But, I am sure Michelle won´t let him; they have a few more million dollar vacations to go on starting with the one in August.

He looks like a complete fool - giving himself silly nicknames and running around the country playing games. Then he has another staged photo-op just hours after decrying the practice.

There are four varieties of the creature we call "Democrat". They are:

The Foolish Fool
The Foolish Knave
The Knavish Fool
The Knavish Knave

Despite his all efforts to appear to be in the first three, Lightbringer´s behavior places him squarely in the fourth category.

This hilarious nugget from one of his paid liar/apologists, Alteredman: “In a world where it’s not yet clear what’s really important, and there’s no real consensus on what’s really important,” he said, “it’s hard for the president to calibrate exactly where to engage.” Yeah, national security, national sovereignty, foreign policy, the economy, citizen health and safety....yeah, there´s no consensus these are important.

I live on a small farm so we occasionally see a mouse in our home, which is then dispatched by our cats. Zippy reminds me of the mouse, scurrying anywhere and everywhere desperately trying to get away from the cat. The cat in this case is a combination of Mooch, his job and his long list of disasters.

Obama has been forced, unwillingly, to spend an inordinate concentrated amount of time with the hoi polloi (´ordinary Americans´ to use Bill Clinton and other self-regarding elitists´ phrase).

Unfortunately for him and his handlers, the people have seen more of him in a few days than they have for the previous few months combined.

His behavior, as well as his decision-making, is not just odd - it´s bizarre. And there is a quickly-growing school of thought that this president is on heavy psychotropic drugs. The constant, inappropriate smiling and nervous laughter are signs of potent doses of antidepressants which, whatever their medicinal properties, also make the user high.

Simply put, we have a madman in charge.

You helped create this monster, what will you do about it ?
The only way out of this mess is if his own party pressures him to resign.

"Breaking free" and "running away" make sense, but I prefer the terms escape and avoidance. Mr. Obama appears to "solve problems" by avoiding them (voting "present" in Illinois, for example) or by escaping to neighborhood settings, where he shines and feels quite comfortable.

He would have made a great community leader had he remained in his element. Not so at the national and international level.

#2 and #6, could you have meant "Transformation?" I believe your post was trying to show how many times Barack/Barry has transformed his name throughout the years. He is one confused little fella.

I believe that his mother´s maiden name was Dunham not Durham. I have to admit, though, Barry is more like the movie minor-league baseball team Durham Bulls in Bull Durham than like a major league President.

Even though it´s two different sports, Barack can´t hold a candle to Ronald Reagan who portrayed the great Knute Rockne very convincingly.

The following statement is other-worldly:

Senior White House officials say they cannot tear up the president’s schedule every time a domestic or international crisis erupts,...

So the President´s photo op schedule takes precedence over domestic and international crises? Is that his priority? What does that say about his concern for Americans and American interests?

Never did a POTUS have such a skewed view of what it means to be an American, let alone an American President. Everything revolves around what he finds most appealing, least labor-intensive, and softer strokes for his ego.

If a domestic crisis such as our illegal border immigration situation, complete with the probable spread of diseases, isn´t worthy of a trip to personally scope it out, what is? A beer and tea photo op at a friendly local eatery?

If the crisis in Israel and Gaza isn´t worth more than the puerile "We urge caution" pap, what does POTUS actually focus on?

He seems to have a visceral aversion to anything that would, as Boehner noted, cause him to make hard decisions.
He is also averse to appearances where he could face tough questions that were not screened in advance.
He is averse to work and desperately tries to get the media to portray his goofing off as work by saying such things as "he´s been briefed" or some such crap. He hasn´t attended his daily briefings because they require thought and decisions.

The man isn´t a "bear" at all. He is a craven, slithering malingerer, afraid of anything that could shatter his glass ego.

Isn´t it about time people who would ordinarily make honorable decisions in their personal lives stop protecting this troll?

When it comes to combatting ISIS, the Obama administration has precious few successes to talk about. So today it touted a failure: U.S. Special Operations forces staged an unsuccessful operation this summer to rescue photojournalist James Foley and other Americans being held in Syria by Islamic State militants, according to senior Obama administration officials. The vicious Islamic State group now is vowing to broaden its war campaign to include killing Americans wherever and whenever it can. Tuesday’s horrific videotaped beheading of American photojournalist James Foley was packaged with a new Islamic State posting on social media threatening the United States: “We will drown all of you in blood.” A visibly angered President Obama gave a stern reply Wednesday afternoon, saying in a televised address that the U.S. and its allies will work together to “extract this cancer” that is the Islamic State. “ISIL speaks for no religion. Eight days ago, a Ferguson, Missouri police officer named Darren Wilson shot and killed Michael Brown, a young but very large (6´ 4?, 300 pounds) African-American, under circumstances that remain murky. Since then, a ritual with which we have become tiresomely familiar has unfolded: demonstrations that turned into riots, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson–still!–descending on the scene, pleas for peace, intervention of federal authorities, calls for reappraisal of American race relations. Followed by more riots and looting. We have been here before, too many times. But why? What is so special, so symbolic, about the death of Michael Brown? In

The president, according to the infatuated view of his political aides and media flatterers, was supposed to be playing o jogo bonito, the beautiful game—ending wars, pressing resets, pursuing pivots, and restoring America’s good name abroad.

The Islamic State’s official media just released a graphic video showing the beheading of American journalist James Foley, who was taken in northwest Syria on Thanksgiving Day 2012. The ISIS terrorist in the video says that the beheading is revenge for President Obama’s recent airstrikes on ISIS targets in Iraq. The video, viewed in full by PJM, begins with a snippet of Obama speaking about the strikes, then shifts to images of the strikes with a title that reads, “American Aggression Against the Islamic State.” The title card then says a “A Message to America.” Foley, with a shaved head, was

President Barack Obama reacted to the on-camera slaying of photojournalist James Foley for five minutes on Wednesday, telling a global audience that ´when people harm Americans, anywhere, we do what’s necessary to see that justice is done.´ Minutes later he began a five-hour round at Farm Neck Golf Course on Martha´s Vineyard for his seventh visit to the links, so far, during a vacation that began August 9. The decision brought a chorus of condemnation from TV commentators, journalists, conservative partisans and Twitter denizens – and even an unintentional slap from the left-leaning New York Times. It turns out that there are some good reasons why the former Governor and GOP Presidential nominee is allowing his name to be circulated as a potential candidate in 2016. Some of those good reasons can be found in a new poll by Zogby Analytics showing him outpolling his nearest rivals for the nomination by about two to one. The poll of 315 likely Republican primary voters was conducted online on August 13-15 and has a margin of sampling error of +/-5.6 percentage points. Romney places first in the 2016 race for the nomination with 20%, followed by New jersey Governor

Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital and its current Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry, said that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” that merits treatment, that sex change is “biologically impossible,” and that people who promote sexual reassignment surgery are collaborating with and promoting a mental disorder. Dr. McHugh, the author of six books and at least 125 peer-reviewed medical articles, made his remarks in a recent commentary in the Wall Street Journal, where he explained that transgender surgery is not the solution for people who suffer a “disorder of ‘assumption’” – the notion that their maleness

From nearly 1,000 miles away, several Redskins players used the Monday Night Football stage to draw attention to the situation that has been unfolding in Ferguson, Missouri by running onto FedExField with their hands up in the air. Ferguson is where unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer on Aug. 9. Witnesses have said he was not aggressive toward the officer and had his hands raised above his head before he was shot. As a result, the words “hands up, don’t shoot” have become a rallying cry of protesters, both in Ferguson and online.

Global warming has been temporarily ´paused´ according to a group of scientists, who attribute this interlude to climate fluctuations and a more restrained sun. Researchers at ETH Zurich have explained the two reasons behind the warming hiatus in their study published in the latest issue of the journal Nature Geoscience. The first is that global temperatures, which rose significantly in the 1990s, have only risen very slightly since 1998 - which has been used by sceptics to question climate change and the models used to measure it. However, climate fluctuations such as El Niño and its counter-phenomenon La Niña have
