‘The bear is loose’: Is Obama
breaking free or running away?

Washington Post, by Juliet Eilperin

Bears, beer and horse heads: What exactly is going on with the leader of the free world? On a single day this week in Denver, President Obama scarfed down pizza and drinks with strangers, shot pool with Colorado’s governor and shook hands with a guy on the street wearing a horse mask. His top staffers are promoting these stops on Twitter with the hashtag #TheBearIsLoose — a term one of Obama’s aides coined in 2008 when the candidate would defy his schedule. More than five years into his presidency, Obama is trying to free himself from the constraints of office,

Given what has been seen of the coward. It is believed he is running as fast as his skinny black legs can carry him, slowed only by all the poop he has on his tricycle wheels.

Transplantation? Is it Barry Soetoro or is it Barry Durham or is it really the ridiculous Barack Hussein Obama? Whatever, the man is stupid. As in dumb as a stone. I am very sure his IQ is maybe 80-90. So that begs the question. Who is running the show? I suspect there are 3,4 or maybe 5 people in "charge". And that means no one is in charge and this is what we get.

If he wants his freedom so badly,I have a suggestion:
He can resign now rather than later. But, I am sure Michelle won´t let him; they have a few more million dollar vacations to go on starting with the one in August.

He looks like a complete fool - giving himself silly nicknames and running around the country playing games. Then he has another staged photo-op just hours after decrying the practice.

There are four varieties of the creature we call "Democrat". They are:

The Foolish Fool
The Foolish Knave
The Knavish Fool
The Knavish Knave

Despite his all efforts to appear to be in the first three, Lightbringer´s behavior places him squarely in the fourth category.

This hilarious nugget from one of his paid liar/apologists, Alteredman: “In a world where it’s not yet clear what’s really important, and there’s no real consensus on what’s really important,” he said, “it’s hard for the president to calibrate exactly where to engage.” Yeah, national security, national sovereignty, foreign policy, the economy, citizen health and safety....yeah, there´s no consensus these are important.

I live on a small farm so we occasionally see a mouse in our home, which is then dispatched by our cats. Zippy reminds me of the mouse, scurrying anywhere and everywhere desperately trying to get away from the cat. The cat in this case is a combination of Mooch, his job and his long list of disasters.

Obama has been forced, unwillingly, to spend an inordinate concentrated amount of time with the hoi polloi (´ordinary Americans´ to use Bill Clinton and other self-regarding elitists´ phrase).

Unfortunately for him and his handlers, the people have seen more of him in a few days than they have for the previous few months combined.

His behavior, as well as his decision-making, is not just odd - it´s bizarre. And there is a quickly-growing school of thought that this president is on heavy psychotropic drugs. The constant, inappropriate smiling and nervous laughter are signs of potent doses of antidepressants which, whatever their medicinal properties, also make the user high.

Simply put, we have a madman in charge.

You helped create this monster, what will you do about it ?

"Breaking free" and "running away" make sense, but I prefer the terms escape and avoidance. Mr. Obama appears to "solve problems" by avoiding them (voting "present" in Illinois, for example) or by escaping to neighborhood settings, where he shines and feels quite comfortable.

He would have made a great community leader had he remained in his element. Not so at the national and international level.

#2 and #6, could you have meant "Transformation?" I believe your post was trying to show how many times Barack/Barry has transformed his name throughout the years. He is one confused little fella.

I believe that his mother´s maiden name was Dunham not Durham. I have to admit, though, Barry is more like the movie minor-league baseball team Durham Bulls in Bull Durham than like a major league President.

Even though it´s two different sports, Barack can´t hold a candle to Ronald Reagan who portrayed the great Knute Rockne very convincingly.

The following statement is other-worldly:

Senior White House officials say they cannot tear up the president’s schedule every time a domestic or international crisis erupts,...

So the President´s photo op schedule takes precedence over domestic and international crises? Is that his priority? What does that say about his concern for Americans and American interests?

Never did a POTUS have such a skewed view of what it means to be an American, let alone an American President. Everything revolves around what he finds most appealing, least labor-intensive, and softer strokes for his ego.

If a domestic crisis such as our illegal border immigration situation, complete with the probable spread of diseases, isn´t worthy of a trip to personally scope it out, what is? A beer and tea photo op at a friendly local eatery?

If the crisis in Israel and Gaza isn´t worth more than the puerile "We urge caution" pap, what does POTUS actually focus on?

He seems to have a visceral aversion to anything that would, as Boehner noted, cause him to make hard decisions.
He is also averse to appearances where he could face tough questions that were not screened in advance.
He is averse to work and desperately tries to get the media to portray his goofing off as work by saying such things as "he´s been briefed" or some such crap. He hasn´t attended his daily briefings because they require thought and decisions.

The man isn´t a "bear" at all. He is a craven, slithering malingerer, afraid of anything that could shatter his glass ego.

Isn´t it about time people who would ordinarily make honorable decisions in their personal lives stop protecting this troll?

Obama administration attempts

The Obama administration sought Friday to tamp down fears of an Ebola outbreak within the U.S., making the case that America’s infrastructure and health care systems set it apart from the horrific scenes coming out of West Africa, even as a confirmed case in Dallas and recent scares in the nation’s capital prompt fears of a domestic problem. “The United States is prepared to deal with the crisis,” Lisa Monaco, homeland security adviser to President Obama, told reporters at a White House briefing on the response to the deadly virus. At the same time, officials said they understood the alarm

The U.S. economy is back on solid ground six years after the Great Recession, new data showed Friday, but President Obama and other Democrats are struggling to convince voters ahead of the midterm elections that they deserve the credit for the rebound. The government reported that the unemployment rate dropped to 5.9 percent in September, the lowest level since the dark days of the 2008 financial crisis. Job growth surged to 248,000 in what was the final snapshot of the nation’s labor market before voters head to the polls in November. Obama on Friday seized on the numbers, pleading with

The case has not been confirmed, but the number of similar incidents around the country and a confirmed Ebola patient in Dallas have spurred concerns about whether U.S. hospitals are as prepared to deal with the virus as federal officials insist they are. Since July, hospitals around the country have reported more than 100 cases involving Ebola-like symptoms to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, officials there said. MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Scott Walker is casting himself as a turnaround artist, seeking re-election with a pitch to voters that he revamped the state’s spending and business climate in just four years. For a governor with presidential aspirations, it’s a case he’s likely preparing for a national audience as well — but first he’ll have to get through a tighter-than-expected re-election race against Democrat Mary Burke, a former state secretary of commerce. As if that wasn’t enough, analysts say that his race could also say a lot about the political strength of labor unions, given that they’ve made defeating

You can win midterm elections without a positive agenda. You can’t win presidential elections that way. It is therefore vitally important for Republicans to win the Senate in 2014. Here’s why. In midterms, it’s all right to be the party of no. The 2010 election, for example, was a referendum on the liberal overreach of the first two Obama years. Result? A Democratic “shellacking,” said President Obama. The massive stimulus, (the failed) cap-and-trade and Obamacare created a major backlash that cost Obama the House and, with it, the rest of his ideological agenda. It’s been blocked ever since. The confirmation Tuesday of the first Ebola case on U.S. soil emerges against a backdrop of increasing concern in America’s medical community that preparedness for a pandemic has stagnated or slipped in recent years because of tough economic times and increasing malaise since the 2001 anthrax threat. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, America’s premier disease fighter, offered the air of confidence in declaring that the first Ebola patient in Dallas was carefully contained. But earlier this year, it sounded less optimistic about the U.S. health system’s ability to fight a pandemic should a major disease outbreak occur.

The spin began soon after the threat was isolated. Information was selectively leaked. Half-truths and untruths were uttered. Responsibility was avoided; privileges and credentials asserted; authority reasserted. Trust us. Remain calm. Don’t panic. This is the template of recent events. A mental case jumps the White House fence. He makes it to the East Room before he’s tackled by an off-duty Secret Service agent. Initial statements turn out to be misleading or false. President Obama was at Northwestern University on Thursday to deliver an economic speech that, he and his team hoped, would lay out the case for why the public is better off today than they were six years ago -- even if they didn´t feel it in their everday lives. Instead, Obama just gave every Republican ad-maker in the country more fodder for negative ads linking Democratic candidates to him. Here are the four sentences that will draw all of the attention (they come more than two thirds of the way through the speech): "I am not on the ballot this

A recent fight between Rosie O´Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg has producers at The View looking to add a cool-down room for the ladies. After being cut off by Goldberg during an episode last week so the show could go to commercial, O´Donnell began to express how upset she was and, after being told repeatedly by Goldberg it was not the right time to have that discussion, eventually got cursed out by the Oscar winner. Goldberg told O´Donnell, ´F*** it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don´t want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie,

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I hated

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It

The hawkish Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina says he is thinking about running for president in 2016. In an interview with Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, the senator, running for re-election to the Senate this year, said: “If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobody’s out there talking — me and McCain have been talking — I may just jump in to get to make these arguments,” Graham said. Graham, 59, also dismissed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 43, as a presidential candidate, saying he is too young. “He’s a good
