Schumer to Religious Americans:
Pick One--Your Faith or Your Business

Cybercast News Service, by Eric Scheiner

At a press conference Thursday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said people with religious beliefs who disagree with the ObamaCare contraception mandate can choose their faith or “you don’t have to form a corporation.” “You’re born with a religion or you adopt a religion. You have to obey the precepts of that religion and the government gives you a wide penumbra – you don’t have to form a corporation,” Schumer said. Schumer claims the Supreme Court’s decision that closely-held firms have a right to deny coverage for certain types of birth control they find objectionable under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) was

Very sad that a US senator, even one as sleazy as Schumer, doesn´t understand the Constitution that he has repeatedly sworn to uphold. This camera chaser doesn´t even have to read beyond the First Amendment to know that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

There is no exception in the First Amendment for Obamacare´s abortifacient ruling, no matter what Obama, Schumer or other Dems claim. Nor is there the Either Or Amendment, which requires the abandonment of one´s religious beliefs in order to start a business. No laws prohibiting the free exercise of religion means no laws and definitely not 20,000 pages of ObamaCare regulations written by socialist bureaucrats within HHS.

fta "the government gives you". Charlie, you clearly do not understand. Our rights are as a People, and we the people designate some powers to the federal government. Not the other way around.

Like the president, your understanding is weak. The president does not understand impeachment ... "what, impeach me for doing my job" said the president defensively. Actually, impeachment can occur for abuse of power and misconduct in office, or for whatever Congress decides is impeachable.

Well Chucky you really hit the wall this time. Your statement is exactly why the First Amendment was placed in the Constitution. The government is using its power to interfere with a choice or position on religion. There is no separation between church and state; there is only a probation against government using its power to regulate a person’s position on religion.

We began documenting two months ago the “border crisis” of unaccompanied alien children, UAC’s, was a pure ruse, a figment. Constructed simply to create the optics of crisis and support the demand for comprehensive immigration reform prior to the congressional recess. Evidence continued to mount week after week as we followed the money flowing out of the DHS and HHS agencies to various left-wing social constructs who were profiting from the scheme. Panic and alarm sounded as $3.7 billion was demanded by Obama to cope with the non existent “border crisis” - couched more favorably as a “humanitarian crisis”.

There’s a significant amount of media effort currently airing while trying to convince you that Ferguson Missouri is a relative Mayberryesque outlying suburb of Saint Louis. The reason for playing up the peaceful community angle is part of the optic. Painting an easier picture that Officer Darren Wilson was responding in an over aggressive manner to a moderate or innocuous threat presented toward him. Toward that end optical controller Captain Ron Johnson has even displayed 2am sock puppets made with crayons while the peaceful protestors paraded down West Florissant Avenue, the main thoroughfare.

The vice president’s Boeing 757 delivered Eric Holder to St. Louis yesterday. In Ferguson, Holder announced that he was “a black man” and therefore had the power to heal Ferguson in ways that no other law enforcement official could. Yet his comments were sure to throw gasoline on fire burning hot with racial division. That shouldn’t shock anyone. It’s the community organizing model of running the Justice Department. What is shocking is who is fueling the Justice Department’s “training” of police departments around the country: radicals, communist-affiliated organizations, and George Soros. He sought revenge against America for what he said was the wonton killing of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tevlin was allegedly Brown’s fourth victim. Ferguson, MO - Conditions calmed this week in Ferguson after nights of sometimes violent unrest stemming from the fatal shooting of a black 18-year-old by a white police officer. But a delicate and crucial question lingers: What happens if the grand jury now considering the case doesn’t return a charge against the officer? The fear among some local residents and officials trying to maintain peace in Ferguson is that failure to charge the officer could stoke new anger among a community profoundly mistrustful of the legal system. Many say they just hope the grand jury’s decision, whatever it is, has irrefutable facts to back it up.
