Boehner Officially Begins
Plan To Sue Obama

Business Insider, by Brett LoGiurato

House Speaker John Boehner´s lawsuit against President Barack Obama will focus on Obama´s 2013 decision to unilaterally delay implementation of the so-called employer mandate of the Affordable Care Act. Boehner´s office released a draft document on Thursday of the resolution set to be filed in the House of Representatives, which would authorize the chamber to take legal action against the president. "Today we’re releasing a draft resolution that will authorize the House to file suit over the way President Obama unilaterally changed the employer mandate," Boehner said in a statement.

The clock is ticking... Worst case scenario: Boehner will have to give up his weekend Tea times with 0bama.

It´s as big a waste of time, money and effort as the action Boehner had a tantrum over - impeachment. I agree with Boehner about impeachment, BTW.

This lawsuit is nothing but misdirection to hide the fact that Boehner and the Republican Establishment refuse to do the job they were sworn to do.

The art of shirking responsibilities has just been taken heights once never thought be achievable.

French forces have bombed Islamist militant positions in northern Mali. Four or five bombs were dropped in the Esssakane region, west of the city of Timbuktu on Sunday morning, the BBC´s Alex Duval Smith in Mali reports. The UN has said al-Qaeda militants were active in the area. Last month Timbuktu airport came under rocket attack. France intervened in Mali in January last year to try to drive out al-Qaeda-linked groups, which had taken over the north of the country. Last month the French government said it was setting up a new military operation to stop the emergence of jihadist groups in the Sahel region of Africa.

The Guardian, one of Britain´s most influential daily newspapers, used its editorial on Friday to warn of the dangers of European anti-Semitism that has been fueled in recent weeks by the tumult in Israel and Gaza. Citing the numerous violent attacks against Jews, synagogues, and other institutions on the Continent in recent years, the newspaper condemned "the conflation of Jews and Israel" while denouncing those who would exploit their anger over Israeli policies toward the Palestinians by attacking Jews in the diaspora. "The controversy has gained extra heat because of the alarming increase in anti-Jewish racism," the Guardian wrote."

Yet another, the middle-class squeeze. (Snip) This is an election about nothing — and everything. The steps Hamas has taken to embed rockets and command-and-control facilities and tunnel entrances in civilian areas, this makes a response by Israel difficult.” Clinton said that, like the United States, Israel has tried to be as careful as possible to avoid killing civilians in Gaza.

Enver Tohti was a surgeon in a hospital in Xinjiang, in the northwestern part of China, when, in June 1995, he was instructed by his superior to prepare for an adventure — surgery in the field. In the morning, when the doctor and his team arrived at their destination, he realized they were at “the Western Mountain Execution Grounds, which specialized in killing political dissidents.” “When you hear a gunshot, drive around the hill,” he was told. He asked why they were there. “You don’t want to know.” After the shot rang out, he drove where he was told, and saw “10, maybe 20, bodies lying at the base of the hill.”

For me, watching the Food Network was always an easy escape from the stresses of daily life. There was just something calming about watching chefs in action, and this network had perfected Zen cooking. They’d often use a natural-light filter that made food appear delectable, as if the chefs were blissfully cooking their culinary delights in the sunlit designer kitchen of a tastefully decorated, impeccable home somewhere in the Hamptons. (Well, with Ina Garten, that actually is the case.) I’ve never been anywhere near a sunlit designer kitchen in the Hamptons, but I still found it all oddly soothing. I’d

Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists. Speaking at the U.S.-Africa Summit earlier this week, Secretary of State John Kerry had a bit of astonishing advice for African leaders. While noting that Africa faces a starvation problem, he also admonished its leaders not to create more farms. The reason? Adding more farms would contribute to “global warming.” Yeah, he really said that: “Certain agricultural processes can actually release carbon pollution and actually contribute to the problem in the first place. It’s a twisted circle. Always complicated. But we also know that there are certain ways to change that. For example, rather than convert natural areas to new farmland, a process

PRESIDENT OBAMA was right to order military action to prevent a potential genocide in northern Iraq and to stop forces of the al-Qaeda-derived Islamic State from advancing on Baghdad or the Kurdish capital of Irbil. However, the steps the president authorized on Thursday amount to more of his administration’s half-measures, narrowly tailored to this week’s emergency and unconnected to any coherent strategy to address the conflagration spreading across the Middle East.
