Mexican train derails, stranding 1,300
migrants headed toward U.S.

A cargo train used by Mexicans and Central Americans to travel toward the U.S. border derailed in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca on Wednesday, stranding about 1,300 migrants, emergency services said. Many of the migrants aboard were young people and nobody was injured when the train nicknamed "the Beast" came off the tracks, a spokesman for local emergency services said. Since last October, more than 50,000 unaccompanied minors, most from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, have been caught illegally crossing the southwest border of the United States. Children say that they are fleeing violence at home and hope that they will be

"The Beast":

There´s a network of freight trains that runs the length of Mexico, from its southernmost border with Guatemala north to the United States. In addition to grain, corn or scrap metal, these trains are carrying an increasing number of undocumented immigrants whose aim is to cross into the U.S.

And despite the many deadly challenges it poses, more and more children — both with adults and alone — have been making the risky journey. That prompted President Obama this week to warn of "an urgent humanitarian situation."

These aren´t passenger trains; there are no panoramic windows, seats or even a roof to guard from sun or rain. People call the train La Bestia, or The Beast. Some call it the Death Train.

This is so outrageous!! 1300 humans being loaded in cattle cars and transported through South America to our border!!! Where are the humanitarians screaming against the brutality of it all?

We KNOW that these trains are coming, and you are telling me that there is no way that we can go to the border and say: "NO! NO MORE!

Bring these 1300 unscreened, sick, uneducated, poverty-ridden people directly to Burlington, VT or to Fairfax, VA, or to Gerorgetown or Chappaqua, NY. And, to Beacon Hill or Wellesley, MA or Hyannis Port.

We need action to stop this NOW! Not more money to settle them in, but to 1. Stop them from coming. 2. Send all of them back.

So the immediate and obvious question is . . . WHY are the Mexican authorities allowing this when they are supposedly unbending in allowing illegals into their country.

Until MEXICO stops shipping people north, their own and transients, CLOSE THE BORDERS TO ALL TRAFFIC. FREEZE AND CONFISCATE MEXICAN ASSETS TO USE FOR PAYING FOR THE ILLEGALS FREELOADING IN THE US. What? Shouting? Hmm. Darn.

Grunt sends.

A National border between countries trumps State´s Rights!

BUT....I think Perry would be in his right as governor of a state that still retains the right to secede under certain conditions and I personally wish he would exercise that right and stop this insanity. This ´president´ breaks federal laws all the time. Perry should take steps to immediately though temporarily close the border and declare Texas a republic again!
Build the triple fence. I´ll contribute...most Texans would.

The flight information for the Ebola patient diagnosed in Texas will not be released by health officials because "It´s just not necessary," a spokesperson at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told ABC News. The CDC announced that the man has tested positive for the disease, making him the first person to have discovered he had the virus while on U.S. soil, and they made it clear that he traveled from Liberia to America to visit family in Dallas. "If we need to contact passengers we have a way. We´d call ourselves," the CDC spokesperson said. Even though the CDC will

The man with the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S. went to hospital feeling sick only to be given antibiotics and be sent home. It was not until two days later that the man was admitted to the Dallas hospital and put in isolation, it has been reported. It raises the frightening prospect that he was mixing freely with other people for a full two days while showing symptoms of the virus - the time when Ebola is most contagious. The unidentified patient has been in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sunday, officials said. The hospital has launched a

Many recent surveys indicate that the vast majority of Americans feel our country is moving in the wrong direction. This country was intentionally designed to be different from others in which a monarch or strong central government controlled almost every aspect of the lives of its citizens. In most other nations, the lives of the populace conform to the will of the government. In America, the government is supposed to conform to the will of the people. Also in most other countries, it was declared that the rights of the people were conferred by the government; whereas, our founding documents indicate

It’s funny how President Obama is always talking about “I” and “me” whenever it makes him look good, but suddenly it’s “they” and “we” when mistakes are made. For instance, for years Obama boasted about how he ended the Iraq War and how he withdrew American troops. “You know I say what I mean and I mean what I say,” he boasted on the campaign trail in 2012. “I said I’d end the war in Iraq. I ended it.” Then, over the summer, as one Iraqi city after another fell to Islamic State militants, and as critics insisted that Obama’s decision to pull all our troops out of Iraq was partly to blame, he suddenly changed his tune,

The news that the U.S. Air Force, joined at long last by some of the Arab nations most threatened by the Islamic State (ISIS), began bombing their headquarters and military sites in Syria was long overdue, but welcome. It took time because Obama had originally dismissed ISIS as a threat. It no doubt took time to get Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia to team with the U.S., but missing from the action is Turkey that borders Syria and Egypt. Turkey has become increasingly Islamist, but appears determined to stay out of the war with ISIS. By initially
