Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl smiles with

This POW looks more like a BFF. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was held captive by the Taliban for nearly five years, is seen in a new image mugging for a picture with a jolly jihadi who casually has his arm resting on Bergdahl’s shoulder. The bro-hug was posted Wednesday to the Twitter account of someone associated with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, according to Fox News. The supposed captor was identified by The Middle East Research Institute as a since-slain Taliban commander, Badruddin Haqqani. Bergdahl, who was taken prisoner when he mysteriously drifted away from his unit while on patrol in Paktika Province, sports

There was a famous pic of U.S. POWs (several, 3 or 4 maybe) during the Vietnam war. The North Vietnam captors displayed them to the cameras, showing how happy they all were, sent it to AP. But all of the POWs were photographed giving the "middle finger salute". A Public Relations exploding cigar.

This dirtbag Berhdahl should be court martialed.

There are many questions yet to be answered about Bergdahl, his abandonment of his post and his time in captivity. But, a photo such as this one doesn´t resolve anything. We´ve all seen such photos, as earlier posters have pointed out. Who knows what might have pressured that mini-smile? I don´t.

The "problem" with pinning anything on the Obama administration is that scandal after scandal crops up in rapid succession, and it is really hard to focus. When the five top Al Queada releases do their damage, the Press will probably say it is because some NEW President is not vigilant enough, and again Obama will skate.

Didn´t realize Pfc. Bergdahl was such a little guy. They look very chummy. I believe this Taliban leader had Bergdahl living in his home for at least part of his time in captivity.

Photo will be ignored by US Army "investigators " who are investigating the investigation they did 5 years ago when Bergdahl deserted. New inquiry will surely note that Bergdahl was suffering from pre-Post Traumatic Stress syndrome, and that his superiors should have been aware that his "pre" symptoms such as not wanting a second dessert should have alerted them to his future psychological problems.

Bergdahl will not face a court martial because it will only draw attention to Obama´s treasonous release of 5 senior killers & maimers of American troops. Bergdahl will simply be the soldier son Obama always wanted.

JERUSALEM—A Hamas force wearing Israeli army uniforms emerged from a tunnel inside Israel this morning and inflicted losses on Israeli troops before being wiped out. The Hamas squad numbered at least 10 fighters, Israeli sources said. Nine were killed but an Israeli officer said at least two may have escaped through the tunnel. In initial accounts, which gave conflicting narratives, the Hamas force was said to have emerged from a hidden tunnel on the Israeli side of the border only 200 yards from a kibbutz, and split into two groups. Israeli soldiers whom one group encountered shortly afterwards reportedly took them to

The Progressive mantra of “diversity is our strength” is one of the most honored catchphrases of the left. Like all slogans, it is a test to see if common folk are “gun-toting, Bible-clinging” Neanderthals or are they part of the enlightened, educated elites to whom the rest of us must surrender our individual beliefs, opinions, and thoughts. But as with all that the Progressives say, the meaning of the words being used is warped and misrepresented. For example, think about what Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz is saying in the following: Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who ´get it!´

That submission came in relatively late on Sunday. Monday’s article schedule was already set. But I put it up anyway, shifting another piece to do it. I made sure it went in for Monday even though, for technical reasons, I had to reenter it twice into the publishing system. I made sure it went in because of what it says about the nature of conservatism

Want to get a new angle on Obama´s Hope and Change mantra? Longshoreman philosopher Eric Hoffer wrote the book about it before Obama was even born: The Ordeal of Change. [E]very radical adjustment is a crisis in self-esteem... It needs inordinate self-confidence to face drastic change without inner trembling. “Action,” wrote Hoffer, “is the most obvious way by which to gain confidence and prove our worth... [but] there must be an abundance of opportunities, and there must be a tradition of self-reliance” for a program of action to work. And back in the 19th century when the first great wave of immigration
