Analysis of the Supplemental Budget
Request: A peek at what´s behind
the White House’s border "surge"

Center for Immigration Studies, by Dan Cadman

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 7/10/2014 8:04:10 AM

On July 8, the White House submitted its emergency budget request to the House of Representatives (which holds the "power of the purse" under our Constitution) to deal with the "humanitarian crisis" on our southern border. The budget request, which totals $3.7 billion, immediately drew flack from many representatives who called it a blank check. Responding in the media, White House Director of the Domestic Policy Council Cecilia Muñoz said that Congress cannot have it both ways: criticizing the administration while withholding the funding to effectively handle the crisis. Having studied the request, it seems clear to me that it

Comments:
A detailed analysis of where the $3.7 billion would go - the lion´s share to embedding and facilitating entire families, not just the illegal children. 49% to HHS. millions to DoJ for attorneys to represent the illegals, and the administration can move 30% around where it chooses (the usual percentage is 10% without Congress´s specific approval).

Not a long article and well worth a read....

Well worth a read.

Any funding bill must have an amendment that repeals the 2008 immigration law that treats children from "non-contiguous countries" differently than illegal minors from Mexico and possibly Canada. The 2008 gives illegal minors* legal rights, including free lawyers and hearings that the minor never appears at.

* - Not be to confused with illegal miners, the thousands of Americans Obama wants to put out of work for mining coal.

Saw his comments last night. What a petulant child! The crisis is over if Republicans would just give him his $3.7 Billion with no questions asked. It´s all their fault. What do they want a moat? Never in my lifetime have we seen a President this petty and childish - and LAZY!
This, of course, in addition to dishonest. He actually asked why they won´t negotiate with him!

More obfuscation is promoted by Obama. He has full authority to manage the crisis at the border, but refuses to live up to his duty. Obama can simply rescind his extralegal policy on amnesty for minors. Evil doers should not be rewarded for their misdeeds.

Like many such things, the devil is in the detail. As in the porkulus bill, little is dedicated to its stated purpose.

Just fix the 2008 law and summarily deport these invaders. If we want to be compassionate to these UACs: fly them home on military transports. If their home countries deny landing rights, then repatriate them in the manner of a reverse Mariel boatlift.

BTW: Where is the U.N. in all this?

Thought so.

An email obtained by Congress shows the top official for Healthcare.gov at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the Department of Health and Human Services, Marilyn Tavenner, instructed the agency’s top spokesman to “Please delete this email.”The instruction appears significant for several reasons: First, the email to be deleted included an exchange between key White House officials and CMS officials. Second, the email was dated October 5, 2013, five days into the disastrous launch of HealthCare.gov. Third, federal law requires federal officials to retain copies of –not delete– email exchanges. Eventually the TRUTH comes out. It always does. The only question becomes “is anyone paying attention to it” ? Readers will note that since the word of the border crisis hit the media our research has indicated the entire construct of a humanitarian crisis for children is a ruse. There simply are not mass influxes of Unaccompanied Alien Children. For almost two months we have been repeating that it’s all a fraud – the influx is families, or more specifically women with children. There is no border crisis about unaccompanied alien children – period. U.S. spy agencies have begun to see groups of fighters abandoning al-Qaeda affiliates in Yemen and Africa to join the rival Islamist organization that has seized territory in Iraq and Syria and been targeted in American airstrikes, U.S. officials said. The movements are seen by U.S. counterterrorism analysts as a worrisome indication of the expanding appeal of a group known as the Islamic State that has overwhelmed military forces in the region and may now see itself in direct conflict with the United States. “Small groups from a number of al-Qaeda affiliates have defected to ISIS,” as the group is also known,

A Travis County grand jury today indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest. Grand jurors charged Perry, 63, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public official. The indictments stemmed from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.2 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget. The money was earmarked for the state’s Public Integrity Unit, which is housed in Lehmberg’s office. Perry’s veto forced
