How a campaign move on immigration
is haunting Obama now

Washington Examiner [DC], by Susan Crabtree

Original Article

The border crisis is forcing President Obama to pay the price for a re-election move he made two years ago. At the time, Obama was hoping to energize Latino voters who were disappointed that he had raised deportations to record levels in an attempt to build credibility with Republican lawmakers for an eventual deal on immigration reform. So in June 2012, Obama announced a half-measure he would take on his own. Through an executive order, Obama allowed hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who came before the age of 16 to remain in the U.S. As a campaign tactic, it was a

Ummm, no, he changed the definition of "deportation" to make it appear he had raised them to record levels.

The Republicrats are waiting for the lame duck session to pass "reform". My goodness, they´ve even adopted the President´s meme that this is a "humanitarian crisis", and we know how America responds to those.

Honestly, #4, I don´t think Obama´s even close to hurting America´s real treasure. He has destroyed infrastructure, put us in debt, forsaken our allies, etc. etc. However, the real treasure in our country is the heart of the people in the Tea Party and Obama has not laid a glove on that part of America.

The posters are right in saying what´s in the hearts of the TEA Partiers will save this country that is if we get the chance and that is a very big, if! The damage done by Obama and his bureaurcrats is going to be nigh to impossible to repair. Just look no further than Lerner and Koskinen to understand that there are thousands of them employed by the government in every agency. It will be a daunting task and will take a president with a backbone of steel and titanium resolve. My hope is that someone with those qualities can emerge and pull the Republicans out of their pit of comity to fight the fight that would be required.

A permanent majority of voters (including waves of soon-to-be voters aka "illegal immigrants") in key states like California and Florida who are predisposed (genetically?) to go Democrat, pretty much guarantees a de facto One Party State in the near future. There is no way an opposition party to the socialists (should one arise, as we don´t have one even now) could survive an electoral college with an overwhelming Blue State advantage even before any candidate was chosen. I see no other reason why Obama would be pushing this, and I´m sure he doesn´t, either.

There is one action that could and can repair the damage Obozo and cohorts have caused this country. Sadly, there simply are not enough citizens that are capable and willing to do that which is necessary. And that is to rise up in revolution that re-build the country. The current Constitution would be used as a blueprint for such re-building, with necessary changes that would prevent another current situation. Without that revolution, this country is sunk. And no political action will be capable to bring it back.

Great point, #7. Obama only picks fights with sheep, cowards, the sick and the helpless. A head-on confrontation with the TEA Party or our sacred rights and principles will get him set back on his butt so fast that he will think he ran into a wall. We just aren´t mad enough yet.

#9, when the time comes, you will be surrounded by so many patriots that you will think that an announcement that the IRS has been closed down, the Obamas, Harry Reid, Chuck Shumer, Sheila Jackson Lee, Eric Holder, Debbie Washerwoman Shultz and Nancy Pelosi have moved to Australia has just been made and this is the celebration party. After this week’s dreary news out of Kansas, we owe Hot Air readers a pleasant surprise, and this may be it. Martha Coakley, who lost a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by the death of Ted Kennedy four years ago despite the near-total grip Democrats have on Massachusetts, may be in the process of losing another election. Republican gubernatorial nominee Charlie Baker took his first lead in the Boston Globe poll series, edging Coakley barely, while neither candidate looks to be catching fire: Republican Charlie Baker has edged ahead of Democrat Martha Coakley in the race for governor,

After lots of bluster about striking ISIS on Syria, President Obama threw cold water on the idea, disappointing those who wanted him to broaden the war. After a week of talk of eliminating the "cancer" of ISIS, President Obama said Thursday that he was not planning to significantly expand the war against the Islamic extremist movement anytime soon. His remarks came after days of heated debate inside the top levels of his own national security bureaucracy about how, where, and whether to strike ISIS in Syria. But those deliberations – which included a bleak intelligence assessment of America´s potential allies

In 1978, Star Wars won seven Academy Awards. But if you want to watch that original version, the first of George Lucas’s soon to be seven-part saga, you’ll find it difficult. In fact, it’s actually impossible to buy an official copy of Star Wars as it was first released. Lucas doesn’t want you to see that version. Instead, he wants you to watch the continuously updated special editions—movies with added CGI, changed sound effects, and whole new scenes. According to some fans, every element that prompted the Academy to recognize the original Star Wars has been changed in these new versions.

When Republican Rep. "I´m supposed to do this in 30 seconds?" he joked, noting the issue´s complexity. While he was optimistic about long-term prospects for dealing with border security and immigration, he said, "between now and the end of this Congress, I´m a little less sanguine about it." There are gaffes — and then there are gaffes. President Obama´s admission in a press conference Thursday that “we don’t have a strategy yet” for a broader confrontation with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is a real problem for the White House. Rather than the average inartful comment that disappears after a few news cycles, the no-strategy line could help cement charges that Obama lacks the competency to handle multiple crises at once. A central component of the GOP´s strategy for the midterms is to paint Obama as either overwhelmed by the challenges of his office or simply too detached to

While the intelligence community can not pinpoint whether or not an attack is planned, the official said that agencies “did see this kind of increase in chatter before the September 11 attacks.”
