Exclusive: More Military

Breitbart California, by Michelle Moons

MURRIETA -- As the border crisis continues, the Department of Defense is requesting that additional military bases make housing facilities and land available to accommodate a continued influx of illegal alien children. According to information provided exclusively to Breitbart through a source requesting anonymity, Major General John T. Winters has specifically requested installation support for the Department of Homeland Security to provide temporary housing to unaccompanied alien children. The request requires bases to report any facilities across the U.S. that meet the following minimum specifications: a 24,000 square foot building, 15 acres of land "level and clear," and access to

They have overwhelmed the Border Patrol, now they will overwhelm the military who obviously has more important things to do. The Middle East is exploding and they are babysitting illegals? May God help us all.

There are lots of big, nearly-empty houses on Martha´s Vineyard. Let ´Bam´s jet-setting comrades show us they really ´care´.

This will further endear our military rank and file who live on these bases. Somewhere, there is a "breaking point".

Yet, the silence of the GOP leadership is deafening.

Obama just sent 750 US soldiers to Iraq, so let´s send the illegals to our enormous Green Zone complex in Baghdad where we once housed thousands. Or, how about sending these invaders to Afghanistan since we have plenty of nearly empty bases due to Obama´s slow surrender there. Why do these military bases have to be in the US? If the illegals don´t like Iraq and Afghanistan, then they can always go home. Kabul no, Tegucigalpa si.

In a stunning display of callousness, the Defense Department has announced that thousands of soldiers — many serving as commanding officers in Afghanistan — will be notified in the coming weeks that their service to the country is no longer needed. Last week, more than 1,100 Army captains — the men and women who know best how to fight this enemy because they have experienced multiple deployments — were told they’ll be retired from the Army. The overall news is not unexpected. The Army has ended its major operations in Iraq and is winding down in Afghanistan. Budget cuts are projected to

On Wednesday, Glenn Greenwald released the names of five Muslim-Americans on whom, he alleged, the FBI and the NSA have unfairly spied. However, what is clear after further investigation is that the five named individuals in the Greenwald expose’ have alleged ties to extremism, and also have allegedly engaged in radical activities. The first person on Greenwald’s list is Faisal Gill. Gill was a spokesman for the American Muslim Council (AMC) while under the leadership of now-jailed Islamist radical Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was indicted and pleaded guilty in 2003 for financing terrorism and assassination plots.

Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. A year ago, Mr. Obama boasted in a “fireside” Web chat that his “is the most transparent administration in history.” There was not the slightest hint of irony. He may actually believe it. Screenwriter James Vanderbilt will make his directorial debut with the film, which will also star Cate Blanchett. Robert Redford has signed on to play Dan Rather in Truth, a film based on the 2005 memoir Truth and Duty: The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power. The book, written by Rather´s producer Mary Mapes, centers on the firestorm that erupted in September of 2004 after Rather reported that George W. Bush had received special treatment while serving in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War, a report that was based on documents that turned out to be forgeries.
