School Lunches Weren’t Enough:

In order to comply with federal regulations, the State Board of Education in Tennessee has announced that schools are only allowed to host club bake sales, cook-offs, or any other food-based fundraiser on each campus 30 days per school-year. The board chose this specific number because if a maximum number of days are not set, schools are not allowed to host any food-related fundraisers at all, according to The Tennessean. Administrators across the state are lamenting the effect this will have on school club funds. via The Tennessean: “That means if the Spanish club sells sausage biscuits one morning, that’s

Fine.
Make a rule limiting your bake sales to 30/year.
And then just ignore it.
That´s what Obama does for any law he doesn´t like.

People who suddenly develop great power or great wealth have a tendency to overdo things. They make themselves personas non grata. They become abusive, ostentatious, gaudy, oppressive, insensitive, disdainful, and disrespectful to others. At the very least they behave in a way that can only be described as déclassé. At its worst it can become criminal.

The behavior of the Obamas is a 12 on the Richter scale. They are rapidly reaching critical mass.

What´s wrong with you guys at the Tennessee State Board of Education? You get an opportunity to humiliate the Mooch and obie and you come up with a 30-day-rule for bake sales? How lame. Must you acquiesce to every petty tyrant who comes along? Listen and learn ---1. Make the maximum bake sale days number equal to the number of school days in the state. or, 2. Make the max number of bake sale days equal to the number of days in a year (365). or, 3. Make the max number a ridiculous number such as 12,000 or so. One would think that the State Board of Education would be creative enough to make a laughingstock of the two wizards of wind-breaking in the white house.

My son is in high school and they have a regular schedule of food fundraising events. The kids plan their schedule around it. My son´s favorite is the gourmet cupcakes sold by one of his teacher´s daughters. She´s raising money to help pay for her college education.

The Future Farmers sell cold drinks on hot days, they have candy sales and food truck fundraisers. The kids love it, it´s not expensive, and let´s face it, one cupcake a week isn´t going to kill anybody.

What I´m wondering about is whether or not they´re going to go after the snack bars at school sporting events. They produce a huge amount of the revenue needed to keep the school athletic programs going. Take away the snack bar, and that could be the end of some school´s sports teams.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The University of Illinois is reminding football fans that its new smoke-free campus policy applies to tailgaters in Memorial Stadium parking lots. Signs were posted at entrances to all UI parking lots and the stadium in time for Saturday´s season-opener against Youngstown State. The campus went smoke-free on Jan. 1 after a student referendum. Hundreds of other college campuses around the country have done the same. But don´t expect a heavy-handed crackdown. AUSTIN — A tweet mischaracterizing Gov. Rick Perry’s indictment was sent Sunday evening from his personal account, setting the social network abuzz and leaving his critics fuming. An hour later, the message was deleted, with his account calling it “unauthorized.” “I do not condone the tweet and I have taken it down,” a message from the account read at 8:20 p.m. The original tweet, which went out almost exactly an hour earlier, included a graphic mocking Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, whose drunk-driving arrest led Perry to threaten to veto funding for the state’s Public Integrity Unit unless she resigned.

Now reports reveal how some of those guns have been lost by law enforcement officials who received the weapons. Take Huntington Beach, Calif., which was given 23 M-16 rifles and has reported one missing. “Bottom line is the gun is not here and we were suspended from the program, haven’t received anything since 1999,” Huntington Beach Police Department Lt. Islamist militiamen stormed the residential annex of America´s embassy in Tripoli on Sunday then took the time to give curious journalists in the Libyan capital a tour. The group has taken up residence in the annex just over a month after diplomats fled to Tunisia over fears of mounting violence in the North African nation in recent months. An Associated Press journalist walked through the U.S. Embassy compound Sunday after the Dawn of Libya, an umbrella group for Islamist militias, invited onlookers inside. Windows at the compound had been broken, but it appeared most of the equipment there remained untouched.

They DO have a strategy, but they prefer to appear indecisive. That’s because the strategy would likely provoke even greater criticism than the false confession of endless dithering. The actual strategy is detente first, and then a full alliance with Iran throughout the Middle East and North Africa. It has been on display since before the beginning of the Obama administration. During his first presidential campaign in 2008, Mr. Obama used a secret back channel to Tehran to assure the mullahs that he was a friend of the Islamic Republic, and that they would be very happy with his policies.
