Costco’s Removal Of Dinesh D’Souza’s
‘America’ Proves To Be A Massive
Backfire As It Soars to the Top

Independent Journal Review, by Caroline Schaeffer

Talk about karma. Costco, a discount chain co-founded by a major Democratic donor, faced the wrath of the almighty dollar after stripping its shelves of Dinesh D’Souza’s bestselling book America: Imagine The World Without Her. According to Newsbusters, after Costco announced that it was dropping D’Souza’s work, the book soared to #1 on Amazon.com. Book reviewers on the website made clear their opinion of the retail giant. Costco I don’t have to shop thee!!! Just saying! Screw Costco …I’ll buy it here. Thanks Amazon !!! Heard about this book being banned by Costco. Read reviews here and was especially befuddled

If a couple hundred thousand Costco customers cancelled their memberships, along with a note explaining why, maybe the Democratic donating dingbat running it wouldn´t have quite so much money to donate.

(BTW: Sam´s Club has D´Souza´s book as well as better products at better prices than Costco, so maybe should tell Costco that as well......)

Those at the top of the food chain at Costco have been staunch supporters of Obama donating to his campaigns.

I just returned home from Costco. While there, I told my cashier I wouldn´t be renewing my membership, due to the D´Souza book being pulled. I pointed out that Hillary´s book should be placed in the fiction section, and while sales for her book are beyond sad, Costco chose to give D´Souza the heave ho.

I stated I will be taking my republican money and spending it elsewhere from now on.

Wouldn´t it be great if enough Americans had the gumption to permanently stop buying from a left wing idiot business to make them have to close up shop? Would that send a message to lefty corporate goons?

something here gave my heart some goodness. Target here went through some real stress when they banned the Salvation Army pot ringers from in front of their store at xmas. Just this year, that Target store closed up due to lack of business. I know, it was not from that alone, but, I like to think it had something to do with it.

I know when they made that decision, I made a personal decision to never shop in a Target store again...and have kept my promise. I like to think other Americans were with me on that and helped to shut a Target Store for good.

Heard a news report yesterday from CBS Radio and I said to myself, "They´re lying all over the place" (about the invasion on the southern border). Bad enough the lo-fo´s get little real news; the news they get is often not true.

This is what I wrote to the CEO immediately after the news broke that they were pulling the books.

Dear Sir:

I am a long time Costco customer, who has been well aware that the owners of Costco donate large amounts of money to the Democrat Party; still I never would have considered punishing Costco for their views if they differ from mine. It is appalling to think that large corporations would sacrifice the loyalty of their customers by attacking the livelihood of a fellow American. It is my hope that this disappointing situation is addressed in your board room, because this type of intolerance is something that should not be tolerated in the United States of America. Banning books is not a good idea; it wasn´t a good idea in Nazi Germany and it isn´t a good idea in the United States of America either. We should be able to have civil dialogue in which we all are able to express our opinions. Your company does not look good having signaled that you are not carrying a book that your CEO does not like. If he didn´t like Feta cheese, I would still hope that you would sell it.

Sincerely,

Jeff Bell was a reform conservative before it was cool. He’s spent his career arguing with a risk-averse Republican establishment. He pushed Ronald Reagan to embrace the supply-side doctrine of tax cuts before deficit reduction. He spent the 1990s warning the GOP that its tax policy favored investment capital over human capital, corporate interests over working families. He designed a family-friendly flat tax that reduced payroll taxes, increased the child tax credit, taxed capital gains and regular income at the same rate, and ended business expensing. Payroll tax relief and a generous child tax credit are elements of today’s reform

In 1964, she helped launch the grass-roots conservative movement that flourishes today, transformed by the internet, and in 1972 she inaugurated what came to be called “social conservatism.” More than any other individual, she was responsible for the nomination of Barry Goldwater, and thus, indirectly, Ronald Reagan. And virtually single-handedly, she defeated the so-called Equal Rights Amendment. Schlafly was born 90 years ago today in St. Louis, the daughter of John and Odile Stewart.
