Megyn Kelly Takes on Former

Little Sisters of the Poor

Townhall, by Katie Pavlich

In case you missed it earlier this week, the National Organization for Women [NOW] put the Little Sisters of the Poor on their "Dirty 100" list. The list is a compilation of organizations and groups that have filed suit against the contraception mandate in Obamacare and claims the Little Sisters of the Poor is forcing their religion onto employees by objecting to the mandate on religious grounds. The Catholic nuns of The Little Sisters of the Poor dedicate their lives to helping the sick and people who are dying. From their website: Continuing the work of Saint Jeanne Jugan, our

BizPac has an article about the interview. From that article:

The Little Sisters are Catholic nuns, defending Catholic doctrine, she said.

“Are you Catholic?” she asked Ireland. “Well I am. We follow rules. It’s not a religion for wusses!”

I forget who it was, but I recently heard someone describe NOW as the National Organization for Some Women. NOW would have you believe that they speak for all women, but they clearly only represent women who agree with their platform. Disagree with them and you are "dirty." Lovely. And they wonder why political discourse is scraping rock bottom these days.

I saw the interview. I thought Megyn did a good job of letting the NOW idiot stew in her own juices.
The only major point she missed was when she started saying something and the idiot said, "Let me finish what I´m saying; I let you finish." (Megyn had previously corrected her for interrupting.) Megyn should have said, "It´s my show and I control the mikes."

Americans’ optimism is dying
Washington Post, by Dana Milbank    Original Article

It is the very essence of the American Dream: an irrepressible confidence that our children will live better than we do. And now it is gone. It has been slipping for some time, really, but a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll this month put an exclamation point on Americans’ lost optimism. When asked if “life for our children’s generation will be better than it has been for us,” fully 76 percent said they do not have such confidence. Only 21 percent did. That was the worst ever recorded in the poll; in 2001, 49 percent were confident and 43 percent

President Barack Obama caused quite a stir as he went for dinner at a restaurant with first lady Michelle Obama during their vacation on Martha´s Vineyard yesterday. The U.S. president was greeted with crowds as he arrived at The Sweet Life Cafe in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, while waitresses lined up at the windows of a nearby Thai restaurant to take pictures of the couple as they left. The Obamas are in the middle of a two-week vacation on the island, from where he has had to deal with global crises involving Iraq, Gaza, Syria and terrorism and Ebola in Africa.

(Video) A protest is being planned for Sunday in front of Los Angeles police headquarters in downtown after a man was shot and killed by an officer this week in Florence. The shooting occurred about 8:20 p.m. Monday after an officer conducted "an investigative stop" in the 200 block of West 65th Street, according to an LAPD news release. During the stop, a "struggle ensued" and the officer shot the person, whom police did not identify. Family members identified the man as 24-year-old Ezell Ford, who they described as "mentally challenged." His mother, Tritobia Ford, told KTLA her son was

At least one other home on the street also had its flag destroyed. Karmann Goff lives about a

Everyone is entitled to a favorite screen pairing – Taylor and Burton, Hepburn and Tracy, R2D2 and C3PO – but they simply don’t get any better than Bogart and Bacall. Lauren Bacall – the surviving half of that duo for 57 years – has died at the age of 89. But her legacy as one of the great actresses has long been secured, both for the work she did with Humphrey Bogart – who she met, and soon married, via their first collaboration, “To Have and Have Not” – and what came after, not just in movies but on stage

The request for these advanced weapons comes just months after the Saudi Arabian government donated $2 billion to Egypt to finance the purchase of Russian-made weapons. The president who spent years touting the withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq suddenly has had to distance himself from that action. At the White House on Saturday morning — less than 48 hours after authorizing airstrikes against Islamist militants and humanitarian air drops to save the lives of trapped Iraqi civilians — President Obama blamed his predecessor, George W. Bush, for the absence of American troops in Iraq and rejected the assertion that he could have left a small peacekeeping force in the war-torn nation. President Obama must really be teed off. Hillary Rodham Clinton, his once-loyal secretary of state and his likeliest successor, has gone rogue, criticizing his foreign policy as too timid. Obama responded with not one but two rounds of golf. Clinton, in an interview with Jeffrey Goldberg published by the Atlantic over the weekend, offered a withering comment on the Obama doctrine, described in shorthand by White House officials as “don’t do stupid [expletive].” Said Clinton: “Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle.” As the criticism became public, Obama was doggedly sticking with

It’s official: Obamaism is dead. Hillary Clinton killed it. It wasn’t so much a mercy killing as an expedient one, but that’s politics in the best sense. The important thing is that she broke the Democratic omertà code by stating the obvious: The president’s policy of having America sit on the sidelines of a burning world is a disaster that threatens our national security. The power of her argument is confirmed by a report that a testy Obama called it “horses–t” to congressional leaders.
