President Obama’s Historic
Abuse Of Executive Authority

Daily Caller, by Rep. Luke Messer

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/9/2014 11:01:44 AM

It’s been a wild couple weeks in Washington for the separation of powers. First, Speaker John Boehner announced that the House plans to sue the president for violating his oath of office by failing to enforce the law and making his own laws without the consent of Congress. Next, the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that the president violated the Constitution by making illegal appointments to a federal labor board. Then, the Court ruled that the president’s health care law violates the religious freedom of pro-life family business owners. Finally, the president declared that he’s going to reform immigration on his own since

Comments:
This article is a good one, but there isn´t a word mentioned that congress controls the purse. Boehner will never allow that to happen. He´s too much of a buddy with Obama.

I am through with the listings of Obama´s constitutional violations, always accompanied with we can´t impeach him, shut down the government, on and on. So if nothing can be done, there is no need bothering me.

Well done.

As a senator, Barack Obama seemed to recognize the constitutional limitations of the presidency arguing, “[t]he biggest problems that we’re facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the Executive Branch and not go through Congress at all.”

Now that is a good get by Rep. Messer.

Today, President Obama vows to govern with his “phone and pen,”...

His battery and ink supply are getting low.

....because “we are not just going to be waiting for legislation.” As a former constitutional law professor, the president should know better.

Clearly, he does know better but is hoping no one else does. He wants his audience to believe that he really has that kind of legitimate power. Because they are lo-fos and/or socialists, they´ll go along with it.

But, this President’s blatant disregard for the law — and his willingness to act unilaterally on major issues without congressional authorization — have damaged our system of government more than any of his predecessors.

Exactly as he planned. Recall he said that the Constitution didn´t go far enough on the government end. From an old PBS interview, Obama said this:

...generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you, it says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.

Did it occur to Obama that the Constitution was deliberately set up NOT to involve the federal government? It was set up to avoid precisely what Obama is doing today -- overreaching, abusing power, and end-running around Congress.

To date, he hasn´t been stopped, but an important Court case and impeachment are the understudies waiting in the wings for him to break a leg so he can´t hog the stage any more.

Obama speaks about shooting of

President Obama said Thursday that “now is the time for healing” after a series of clashes between protesters and police over the shooting of a black teenager in Ferguson, Mo., but he also called for an open and transparent investigation “to see that justice is done” in the case. Speaking from Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., where he is on vacation, Obama said that many Americans “have been deeply disturbed” by images of violence in the St. Louis suburb following the police shooting Saturday afternoon of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old African American who was headed to technical college this week. “When something like

HOUSTON, Texas -- Tens of thousands of Central Americans have entered the country illegally since October 2013; most of them will be likely considered "refugees" and ultimately be allowed to remain in the U.S. Consequently, many of the migrants will receive welfare from the federal government, funded by taxpayers. Health and Human Services (HHS) documents, obtained by Breitbart Texas, show that significant federal funds go towards encouraging refugees to enroll in long term welfare programs, and towards administering such benefits directly. HHS´ Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR) provides funding and grants to various organizations that help refugees collect welfare.

Reports that David Brock, founder of Media Matters for America, is now taking over Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and incorporating it into his illiberal empire would have come as no surprise to Andrew Breitbart. Brock, whose Media Matters outfit has marginalized itself as it moved from correcting to censoring conservative media, no doubt has designs on framing the 2016 election for Hillary Clinton´s benefit. Andrew Breitbart would have noted something else--namely, confirmation of CREW´s partisan nature. Though it is described as a "leading watchdog group" by Politico´s Ken Vogel, in fact CREW has often operated as a

The fatal police shooting of a young black suspect in a Midwestern town last weekend has given the Left yet another opportunity to advance its destructive, racially polarizing agenda. After 18-year-old Michael Brown, a black man was killed by police in Ferguson, a mostly black community in St. Louis County, Mo., the city and region surrounding it have been under siege. Not content to wait for the wheels of the justice system to spin, some view this tragedy as a license to riot. Cries of “no justice, no peace” pierce the air as demonstrators hurl Molotov cocktails at law enforcement officials.

The media predictably falls for it. I’m not even going to link to the Jessica Remo piece at NJ.com which is the same “It’s all Islamophobia” spin that we’ve been hearing since September 11. A New Jersey man has raised a flag that is causing concern among his neighbors. The man recently hung what some neighbors called an ISIS flag outside his home in Garwood. When a picture was posted onto Twitter, neighbors on Winslow Place called the police. The flag, which is used by an Islamic extremist group responsible for violence in Iraq, has since been removed from display. Even so,

It’s official: Obamaism is dead. Hillary Clinton killed it. It wasn’t so much a mercy killing as an expedient one, but that’s politics in the best sense. The important thing is that she broke the Democratic omertà code by stating the obvious: The president’s policy of having America sit on the sidelines of a burning world is a disaster that threatens our national security. The power of her argument is confirmed by a report that a testy Obama called it “horses–t” to congressional leaders. What would happen, though, if Boehner turned around and made a deal with Harry Reid on amnesty in September? SWAT teams and angry protesters clashed in a small St. Louis suburb for a third day Tuesday, following the death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown. The eruption of protests and violence has been a long time coming. While I certainly do not condone rioting, examining the conditions surrounding Brown’s death — and the deaths of several other unarmed black men killed by law enforcement recently — makes clear that community reactions like those in Ferguson, Mo., are bound to happen. America has continued to isolate poor black people in economically depressed neighborhoods under increasingly oppressive police tactics that breed

California lawmakers are poised to enact a regulation requiring every college and university that receives public funding to define consensual sex in a way that attempts to micro-manage everyone’s sexual affairs. The first-in-the-nation legislation already passed California’s state Senate by a vote of 27-4 in May, The Associated Press reports. If the bill passes the assembly this month, it will then go to the desk of Gov. Jerry Brown. The bill, which is based on guidance from the Obama administration, requires an “affirmative consent standard” that school administrators would use to determine whether a sexual assault has occurred.
