The man who heads the federal agency responsible for many of the 50,000 unaccompanied alien children from Central America who have entered the U.S. illegally in recent months told a conference on Tuesday that those working with refugees should look to Jesus Christ as a role model. "Jesus was a refugee, and that’s a very good reminder to all of us,” Eskinder Negash, director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), said at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) 2014 Migration Conference in Washington, D.C. This is the same idiocy that says "Jesus was homeless."

Nope, when Jesus was born, he had a perfectly good home, but some idiot bureaucrat, made Joseph have to go on the road for the census.

He is probably referring to the flight to Egypt before Herod the Great killed the children. He does not mention that Jesus returned to his home. Another case of calling on the name of jesus for a political purpose. It is not right when the left or the right uses Jesus in this way.

This reminds me of something along the same line that I began hearing 10 or more years ago, around Christmas time. Various liberal groups decided to jump on the cherry picking band wagon and insist that Mary was also an "unwed mother," and we should donate to whatever it was they were peddling for women in need (though many such women were basically looking for government hand-outs, not help as unwed mothers).

U.S. public schools are on track to become “majority-minority” this fall as the number of Hispanic and Asian school-age children born in the U.S. continues to grow at an astonishing rate, the Pew Research Center reported, citing U.S. Department of Education projections. This impressive milestone also comes at a time when U.S. schools are preparing to admit approximately 50,000 illegal immigrant children who are entitled under the law to the same public primary and secondary schools as U.S. citizens and permanent residents. However, what´s interesting is that the influx of thousands of illegal student-age children is not the reason why
