Hoyer: If We Built Border Fence,
Children Would Just Stand Behind It

Cybercast News Service, by Brittany M. Hughes

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 7/9/2014 10:30:31 AM

House Democratic Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) says illegal immigrant children would “just stand at the fence” if the federal government built the double-layered fence required under the 2006 Secure Fence Act. During a press briefing Tuesday, CNSNews.com asked Hoyer, “Should Congress revisit building a physical, double-layered fence as was included in the 2006 Secure Fence Act?” “Let’s say you build a fence, just hypothetically, and you saw five hundred children standing at the fence, and you saw them standing there 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours. There’s a fence there and they can’t go anywhere and they stay there.

Comments:
What a completely moronic statement! Then let them stand there! At least we won´t be burdened with paying for all of their needs!

Indeed. Just as Americans stand behind the fence that surrounds the White House. If fences don´t work why does the White House have on?

So they stand there looking at us .... which means it´s then Mexico´s problem, perhaps spurring Mexico to secure their own southern border.

Problem solved!

Oh, and that new fence? Between the Chamber of Commerce and Democrat voter growth, forget about it.

This is so insulting. He really thinks we´re stupid. The smugglers wouldn´t try to bring the children in if they knew the border was secure. In the Yuma corridor where they have a fence, barricades and criminal deterrence there are no children looking in.

I´ve noticed leftists, having had their lies and conspiracies exposed by the internet over the last 20 years, have resorted to absurd, dramatic hypotheticals to ´prove´ their case.

Unfortunately, several of those leftists currently sit on the Supreme Court. Their rulings are an embarrassing collection of paranoid, statistically impossible what-ifs.

I have a question for Hoyer. What about my child? My child is doing without because you are giving my money to the illegals and you have given my job to the illegals. We have to dumb down the schools because these children do not speak English. Look at all the unsafe drivers that will be on the roads. You are exposing my child to deceases we have not known existed for centuries. My child life is in danger because you are allowing gangs, and terrorists to also cross the border.

And once again (as we noted on Fox News last night) all the pictures are of wee little girls in strappy sandals or boy children wearing power ranger t-shirts. All pictures were cute and appealing - none were of the majority (we´re told 80%) 15-18 y/o heavily inked males who are likely MS13 members. Political manipulation promoted by media. They really really believe we´re stupid and will buy the "refugee children" meme.

If Rep Hoyer wants to support those criminal alien invading biological hazard children, then I suggest he take the funds directly from the programs supporting US citizens who are unwilling to work...SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, Section 8 housing, etc.

The working/taxpaying US citizens are supporting as many non-productive layabouts as we can afford, IF my taxes must go up, I only want to pay more for veterans (who have paid their dues) and maybe seniors (who worked all their lives paying into the public coffers) there are already enough riders on the wagon, it is hard enough to pull as it is.

If we build the fence they won´t come, and if they still come we could enforce the laws as written, then we would only need to deport about half of the 40 or 50 millions of alien invaders living here already...the rest will self-deport before they have a record of being deported, if only they are convinced legal deportations are certain to be in their future.

That fence is a joke, it´s not even continuous. They go to a break and walk around it.

For the amount of money wasted on ´the fence´ and welfare for immigrants, the Great Wall of China could have been duplicated and up by now.

In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election. Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech. Noting that ISIL is not a state (partly because the international community thankfully does not recognize it), he declared, “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.” Neither of those sentences, unfortunately, is true. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it. While announcing that he´s expanding the campaign against the Islamic State extremist group into Syria, Obama said flatly that this group, which is trying to install a caliphate in the Middle East, "is not Islamic." Literary lion Maya Angelou may be gone, but her memory will live on through the day and beyond. A memorial celebration to honor Angelou, the revered writer, poet, actress and civil rights activist who died this year, will kick off at the Riverside Church on Riverside Dr. near W. 120th St. on Friday at 11 a.m. Former first lady, senator and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will join a group of renowned speakers — including author Toni Morrison and popular poet Nikki Giovanni — to pay tribute to the legendary Angelou, who died at her home on the North Carolina campus
