Obama shakes hands with a guy
wearing horse mask in Colorado

Los Angeles Times (CA), by Ryan Parker

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 7/9/2014 9:26:16 AM

Yes, that is the commander in chief shaking hands with a person wearing a horse mask in Denver. That was a little bit before someone in the crowd offered the president marijuana -- legal in Colorado -- which he declined, smiling. The horse picture, snapped Tuesday night while President Obama walked and greeted people on the streets of downtown, went viral almost as fast as it was clicked. Needless to say, the Internet had a field day.

Comments:
Lucky horse, they usually have no idea what their other end looks like, much less shake hands with it. . . .

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he expects Democrats to maintain control of Senate in the fall elections. Reid cautioned that things could change, and acknowledged he´s concerned about holding an open seat in South Dakota where longtime Democrat Tim Johnson is stepping down. But the Nevada Democrat told the Reno Gazette-Journal before a speech to the Washoe County Democratic Party on Sunday that if the election were held today, he is confident his party would retain the majority. The speech that made Barack Obama famous cast him as a post-racial figure offering a vision of America no longer divided along black-and-white lines. “I stand here today grateful for the diversity of my heritage, aware that my parents’ dreams live on in my two precious daughters,” Obama, then an Illinois state senator, said in his keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. “I stand here knowing that my story is part of the larger American story, that I owe a debt to all of those who came before me and that in no other country on Earth is

It may be the most cold-hearted case of the knockout game yet. A 33-year-old punk punched a pregnant woman in the face so hard that she lost consciousness. But the creep was quickly arrested, just blocks away, cops said Friday. Jannatul Ferdous — two months from her due date — told the Daily News she was horrified for her unborn child. “I was scared and worried about the baby,” the 34-year-old victim said at her home in Brooklyn. The suspect, Willie Stephens, doled out the unprovoked smack at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, as Ferdous strolled down Monroe St. near Ralph Ave.

FERGUSON, MO – It’s now been one week since the shooting of Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer in the Canfield Green apartment complex. In that time precious little has been said about the investigation into 18-year-old Michael Brown’s death. St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch is on record says that his office is reviewing all relevant information, evidence and witnesses to the shooting. But that has done little to calm the residents of Ferguson who again demanded information on the status of the investigation from Governor Jay Nixon as spoke at a press conference Saturday afternoon.
