Texas Rep. Lamar Smith: Not "a Single
Penny" To Obama Until He Secures Border

Breitbart Big Government, by Caroline May

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 7/9/2014 7:50:05 AM

Congress should not provide the Obama administration with any additional funding until it uses current resources to secure the border and confront illegal immigration, according to Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith. “This isn’t a funding problem, it’s an enforcement problem. Rather than enforce our nation’s immigration laws, the President has chosen to ignore them. Instead, he continues to call for massive amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants,” Smith said. Tuesday, President Obama submitted his emergency funding request to Congress – seeking $3.7 billion to deal with the ongoing influx of unaccompanied children and family units illegally entering the United States.

Lamar really means he´ll vote for the money if these "refugees" don´t stay in Texas. Arizona, New Mexico or Oklahoma can have them.

Don´t ever think the Pubs don´t like these deals. They love them in spite of their protests because they get to carve off their chunk of the 3.7 bil, too.

Obama hasn´t explained how he will pay for this $3.7 billion and eventually, $100 - $200 billion expense that his amnesty maddness caused, so let him propose funding solutions besides having the Federal Reserve add this debt to its almost $5 trillion in Treasury obligations.

Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their ilk were in love with "Pay as you Go" just a few years ago, so let Obama explain to Americans that they will have to pay an income tax surcharge, a national sales tax and/or much higher ObamaCare and Medicare premiums so that, in Pelosi words, "all Americans in our hemisphere" can come here illegally.

Besides massive federal spending, we are about to be burdened with a surge in break-ins, car thefts, drug deals, prostitution, horribly crowded emergency rooms, overflowing maternity wards, street violence and much more. Medicaid, food stamps and housing allowances will be drained while drug driving illegals will kill and maim legal citizens. What is "fundamental transformation" in Spanish?

Absolutely agree----don´t know much about Smith but DO know that Obama can not be remotely trusted to keep his word re: the border..........just look at his record! As V. Jarrett told him re: endorsing Hillary if Bill spoke up in 2012 (thanks Bill for caring more about your legacy rather than the country): "You are the President. You can do whatever you want."

In Campbell, Wisconsin, political retaliation has sunk to a new low. Police Chief Tim Kelemen just closed a plea deal for using local Tea Party leader Greg Luce’s personal information to sign him up for gay dating websites, pornography websites, and – the icing on the cake – HealthCare.gov. These actions could fall under the definition of identity theft, which carries serious penalties. Depending on the severity, the fraudulent use of another’s identifying information could earn up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Why did the police chief flagrantly break the public’s trust? Over a political disagreement.

Rebellious Republican Rep. Justin Amash has won his re-election battle in Michigan’s 3rd district against his challenger Brian Ellis, a blow to the GOP Establishment which had put significant resources into the race. Ellis conceded the race as Amash had 55 percent of the vote and Ellis had 44 percent with 44 percent of the precincts reporting. Allies of Speaker John Boehner had rallied for pro-establishment candidate Republican Brian Ellis and to take out Amash, the first lawmaker to vote against Boehner for speaker on the House floor in January 2013. Ellis, a Grand Rapids businessman, loaned his campaign over $1 million and

Here’s a wacky idea. Let’s win the war against our jihadi enemies. Yeah, it’s certainly an outside the box idea. All we hear right now – in fact, all we’ve heard for decades – is about peace processes and negotiations and ceasefires. On and on they go, one after another, always crashing on the rocks of intransigence by people who hate our allies and who hate us. Maybe we need some fresh new ideas, some outside-the-box thinking. How about we and our allies destroy our enemies? After all, the best peace plan is victory. Wait, hear me out. You know,

Procedural changes impede the chamber’s traditional deliberative function Americans hold the Senate in low esteem, but the situation is even worse than most understand. The Senate is dysfunctional today because its current leadership has acted to destroy the institution itself. Job-approval ratings for Congress have been in the teens or single digits for more than three years. A poll last year found that Congress is less popular than head lice, root canals and traffic jams. The “good” news is that Congress is slightly more popular than playground bullies, telemarketers and North Korea.

Someone we liked lost a primary. Someone we didn’t won. Some piece of legislation we hate passed; some other piece we liked did not. The charter of Hamas, the controlling faction in the Gaza Strip, states, “[Peace] initiatives, the so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement. For renouncing any part of Palestine means renouncing part of the religion[.]” Suddenly, the current conflict between Israel and the Hamas faction in the Gaza Strip comes into striking clarity. In evaluating the violence currently going on in Gaza, it is informative to understand not only how both sides operate, but how both sides define themselves and their purposes.

Because of the hostility toward (and ignorance about) business that permeates the Obama administration and the Far Left, they are overlooking an element that could have the effect of accelerating unemployment among low-skilled workers to exponential levels. That “joker in the deck” is automation. In their rush to increase the minimum wage and offer amnesty (or something like it) to an ever-increasing number of illegal immigrants, the administration and the Left are ignoring a reality that will compound the problems inherent in both goals. The recent increase in the federal minimum wage (and presumably the wage that federal contractors will be required

This bit of artistic license almost completely ruined it for me. Had the filmmakers done their homework they would have discovered that tiger sharks rarely navigate the Atlantic north of the 30th parallel—let alone north of the 40th parallel. Such inattention to detail unfortunately sullies science fiction’s reputation as more fiction than science. The Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno mated. Rubin asserts that, since the “scientific community is all but unanimous in its agreement that climate change is a serious threat,”

ATLANTA — In the early 2000s, a young researcher at the Centers for Disease Control named Greg Millett set out to solve an epidemiological mystery. Nobody could explain why black Americans, particularly black gay men, had such high rates of HIV infection compared to the rest of the population. How were they putting themselves in so much danger? What were they doing differently from everyone else? Millett began with a survey of the published research, but that only seemed to raise more questions. Study after study seemed to arrive at the same conclusion: Black gay men take fewer risks in the

Sen. Pat Roberts fended off an aggressive challenger Tuesday in the Kansas Republican primary, dealing another blow to a national tea party movement that has targeted longtime Washington incumbents. Milton Wolf, 43, a Leawood radiologist making his first run for public office, failed to pull the upset in the race against Roberts, 78, whose political dates to the late 1960s, when he was a congressional aide. After surviving the primary, Roberts is a huge favorite to win his fourth, six-year term in November. Republicans enjoy a nearly 20 percentage-point advantage among registered voters and have won every U.S. Senate race

Obamacare plans have shrunk payments to physicians so much that some doctors say they won’t be able to afford to accept Obamacare coverage, NPR reports. Many of the eight million sign-ups in Obamacare exchanges nationwide already face more limited choices for physicians and hospitals than those in the private insurance market. But with low physician reimbursement rates, the problem could get even worse. For a typical quick patient visit, Dr. Doug Gerard, a Connecticut internist, told NPR a private insurer would pay $100 while Medicare would pay around $80. But Obamacare plans are more likely to pay closer to $80, which Gerard
