BBC Investigation:
#GazaUnderAttack Images Are Not Reliable

Breitbart London [UK], by Abe Katsman

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 7/9/2014 7:47:26 AM

The BBC has investigated, and found inaccurate, numerous graphic images which are being shared on social media to show how people in Gaza have been affected by the renewed tensions with Israel. [Snip] Over the past week the hashtag #GazaUnderAttack has been used hundreds of thousands of times to distribute pictures claiming to show the effects of the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza’s population. Some of the images are of the current situation in Gaza, but a #BBCtrending analysis has found that many images date as far back as 2009 and others are from conflicts in Syria and Iraq.

I think they lost their veracity when the footage of the "dead" bombing victim that was dropped by the carriers and got back on the stretcher.

No, poster #3, they lost veracity when the footage of the little boy and his father were "hiding" behind a big rock, and the little boy was "killed by Israeli fire." The story went ´round the world, those dastardly Israelis!!

Then a French news outlet did the geography/math, and discovered there was no way an Israeli bullet could reach the boy, he must have died from "friendly fire" of a Palestinian.

IIRC, the boy was later found to be still alive.

President Barack Obama is summoning Central American leaders to the White House to discuss the influx of young immigrants from their countries to the US, hoping to show presidential action even as Congress remains deeply split over proposals to stem the crisis on the border. The meeting comes as the administration is considering creating a pilot programme giving refugee status to young people from Honduras, White House officials said Thursday. The plan would involve screening youths in their home country to determine whether they qualify for refugee status. The programme would be limited in scope and would start in Honduras

Gout is almost unique in being a serious and debilitating condition still capable of raising sniggers of laughter and sneering derision towards those who suffer from it. It is commonly thought of as a historical anomaly, a disease rarely seen since the last portly Victorian gentleman died out, long ago banished from these shores by advances in diet and medicine. [Snip] Gout is a type of arthritis in which crystals form inside and around a joint, typically in the big toe. These crystals begin to form when there is too much uric acid--a waste product naturally produced by the body--in

Israel-Gaza conflict: Hamas calls for

Hamas leaders, both in Gaza and abroad, have called for the start of the third intifada - or Palestinian uprising - after violent riots with live fire erupted throughout Jerusalem and the West Bank last night. Violence flared up as thousands of Palestinians took to the streets, rioting and protesting Israel’s actions in Gaza. Approximately 10,000 people marched from Ramallah to Jerusalem, where they clashed with Israeli police. Two Palestinians were killed and approximately 200 were injured when protests turned violent near the Qalandiya checkpoint, just north of Jerusalem. In East Jerusalem and the Old City, 40 rioters were arrested.

Finally! After six long years, Britain´s

Britain’s economy has finally bounced back from the deepest recession in post-war history. New figures show the economy is now larger than before the 2008 financial crisis. Growth of 0.8 percent between April and June draws a line under the worst downturn the nation has faced. It has taken six long years to reverse the decline which began in early 2008 and saw the economy shrink by 7.2 percent by the middle of 2009. [Snip] But Labour has been quick to point out that the recovery has been much slower than the Tories predicted when the Coalition was formed in 2010.

Dr. Lee Silverman, a psychiatrist, told police that the patient, identified as Richard Plotts, fatally shot a caseworker at their hospital complex before the doctor pulled out his own gun and exchanged fire with him and wounded him, a prosecutor said Thursday night. Silverman was grazed in the temple during the gunfight in his office, according to Delaware District Attorney Jack Whelan. Paracetamol has little impact on lower back pain and does not help sufferers recover more quickly, or improve pain levels, sleep or quality of life, research suggests. The painkiller is commonly prescribed for the most common form of back pain which usually feels like an ache, tension or stiffness. The Australian study, published in The Lancet, was the first large randomised trial to compare the effectiveness of paracetamol with a placebo for lower back pain. The study randomly assigned 1,652 individuals with an average age of 45 and with acute lower back pain from 235 primary care centres in Sydney

Those individuals have accounted for over 3,000 homicides and over 8,000 sexual assaults. We can’t afford to wait for Washington to secure this border. We’ve had enough.”

President Obama told Democratic donors Wednesday night that most Americans don’t have time to think about the details of the Benghazi terrorist attack or the problems with Obamacare. Colchester – Experts estimate there are nearly 300 adult loons living on Vermont´s lakes and ponds, up from just a couple dozen 30 years ago. On Saturday, more than 200 volunteers spread out across Vermont for the annual loon survey. The results of the survey are trickling in, but Eric Hanson of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and the coordinator of the Vermont Loon Conservation Project, said there are many more birds now than just a few years ago. He said 15 years ago there were around 100 loons. In 1983, biologists counted only 29. "It is a decent, stable population. I'm hoping that actually things do start to level out.
