Obama heads to Texas with
no plans to visit border

For President Barack Obama, the humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border is increasingly becoming a political liability, giving Republicans a fresh opportunity to question his administration´s competence and complicating the debate over the nation´s fractured Still, Obama is resisting calls to visit the border during his two-day fundraising trip to Texas, where he arrives late Wednesday afternoon. Instead, Obama will hold a meeting hundreds of miles away in Dallas to discuss the crisis with faith leaders and Texas officials, including Republican Gov. Rick Perry. Obama´s trip comes one day after he asked Congress for $3.7 billion in emergency spending to

#1, the press did exactly that, bayed like wolves, because Bush´s visit over the Katrina area was by helicopter, a "fly-over". But, Bush was there and Bush was talking about it and Bush wasn´t trying to shift the blame that he hadn´t earned.

I would dearly love to see Rick Perry and Greg Abbott (current Attorney General) escorting Obama and Jarrett in and out of those facilities and at the border where the long lines are. It would be lovely if Dubya joined them...heheh.

I think Obama, ValJar, et al in the administration WANT this. They dont care. They LIKE seeing this misery. Its exactly what they want and they are looking for ways to exploit it. Dont EVER assume its because Oblahblah is stupid, naive, or just plain incompetent. He is getting exactly what they wanted and they like it. Kids getting raped and murdered? Just eggs for the omelet in their eyes. American citizens getting horrible diseases that were eradicated decades ago or brought to minimal levels? Meh...they deserve it.

I have a slightly off-topic question. The 2008 amendment to immigration law applied to Central Americans and South Americans. Mexicans are subject to refusal of entry and/or deportation. We´ve just been reading that no one can ask arriving parents if they are legal. So, how is it determined that any or all of these kids are not Mexicans? They look the same, the names would be the same, the language is the same. What´s to prevent little Jose Martinez from Oaxaca, Mexico, from claiming to be little Jose Martinez from Guatamala City?

It wouldn’t shock me if BHO takes time out of his “busy” schedule to sneak down to the border or fly over it so he can say he did. Security Risks will be his excuse for not announcing it beforehand. “The meanies in the Secret Service wouldn’t let me go there” because it would be too dangerous, or words to that effect. I’m just sayin’…

A little off subject but it shows why I’ve mostly given up on Fox News. Here is an example of what just happened on “The Five”. I sometimes listen to it on XM radio while I’m out and about. The segment was about Obama going to Texas to fund raise but not going to the border.

Beckel chimed in saying “well so what? What would he do there anyway? It would be a huge disruption if he showed up”. They then cut to Ed Henry who is traveling with the President. Henry said that Obama would be in Marine One and would invite Gov. Perry onboard to talk for awhile. Beckel then butts in and says “well it’s great that Perry can pull himself away from his ranch and all the racist signs that he has posted around the perimeter”. Then he asks Henry what Perry and the Republicans want to talk about. Henry says “well, the Republicans have a lot to say about the 3.7 billion that Obama wants from Congress. But of course they still haven’t put forward their own alternative”.

I then did what I usually do. Rather than break the radio, I turned it off. Ed Henry, recently of CNN, has boasted of being a drinking buddy of Jay Carney’s. Sickening. Fox, you can do better than this.

Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

Delusion #1: Obama still thinks ISIS is the JV team. Here’s how he began his speech: We can’t erase every trace of evil from the world, and small groups of killers have the capacity to do great harm.
