Harry Reid Apparently Thinks

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is so angry over the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision in the Hobby Lobby contraception case last week that he apparently forgot Justice Clarence Thomas is black. The Nevada Democrat lamented the court’s ruling which allows Hobby Lobby and other for-profit companies with religious objections to certain forms of contraception to avoid providing them to employees in health insurance plans mandated under Obamacare. Hobby Lobby approves of 16 out of 20 forms of contraception that have been approved by the FDA. “People are going to have to walk down here and vote, and if they vote with the five

Hilarious.

Also irrefutable proof that to leftist ideologues, color is far from the "racist" issue they constantly claim - it´s nothing but a tool to be exploited.

"Dirty Harry" is a vicious, vindictive, mean-spirited little white person. He knows what manner of insults his same caliber of black persons use against Justice Thomas. He probably thought he was insulting him by calling him a white man.

Justice Thomas is a man of good character. Harry Reid wouldn´t understand that.

The Dems think if they yell loud and long about Hobby Lobby not providing birth control insurance they will be believed.

I wish more would correct the statements immediately when they are made to show how the Libs/Dems lie about facts, or make up their own set of facts. Also need to keep the RINOs at bay when someone refutes their lies and not jump all over the ´truth teller´ like they have been doing.

Wrong!! Words have meanings, and those meanings deserve to be defended!!

There are not 20 forms of contraceptives, there are 16 contraceptives and 4 other forms of birth control that are abortifacients which only work after conception, they "work" by destroying a fertilized egg, a conceived life.

The news from Ferguson, Mo., has brought back unpleasant memories from the long-ago riots in Asbury Park, N.J. It was the summer of 1970, and I was a young teenager close enough to the action to be appropriately frightened. The riots I remember were also fueled by racial grievances, and there were similar issues with white officers and black rioters. And, just like the sad story unfolding in Missouri, a reporter was arrested in the Asbury Park riots. The claim is that he was "interfering with the police." There were other similarities as well, especially the confusion and competing storylines. An

Lauren Bacall died this week at age 89. Her obituaries are paying tribute to a glamorous actress, a famed star from Hollywood’s Golden Age, the wife of Humphrey Bogart, and a lifetime liberal. The facts are that Lauren Bacall herself learned the truth about communism in Hollywood. She admitted to being badly duped by bad guys. She learned her lesson, even as her fellow

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Democrats fighting for revenues from oil companies here are reaching out to an old foe: Sarah Palin. The former GOP governor is a natural ally in a ballot fight to restore a law she signed in 2007 that implemented steep and progressive taxes on the biggest Alaska oil producers. Statehouse Republicans replaced her structure with one backed by oil producers, who are the largest contributors to the $14.4 million effort to defeat an Aug. 19 referendum to revert to the Palin-era oil-tax code.

Keep an eye on Minnesota. The state that gave us Michele Bachmann and Jesse Ventura just might decide to dump funnyman Al Franken from the Senate. Most pundits think that challenger Mike McFadden is, at best, a long shot. I don’t think so. In several polls the incumbent, a former Saturday Night Live star, can’t break the 50% mark. Given his narrow victory in 2008 (which some say wasn’t a real victory), it’s probably not that surprising that Mr. Franken is still a polarizing figure. But after six years in the Senate, one might expect that the incumbent would have built a more comfortable

The first-in-the-nation legislation already passed California’s state Senate by a vote of 27-4 in May, The Associated Press reports. If the bill passes the assembly this month, it will then go to the desk of Gov. Jerry Brown. The bill, which is based on guidance from the Obama administration, requires an “affirmative consent standard” that school administrators would use to determine whether a sexual assault has occurred. A Travis County grand jury today indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest. Grand jurors charged Perry, 63, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public official. The indictments stemmed from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.2 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget. The money was earmarked for the state’s Public Integrity Unit, which is housed in Lehmberg’s office. Perry’s veto forced

Police in Ferguson had earlier announced that Brown was suspected of taking cigars from the convenience store in what was described as a "strong-arm robbery." Brown´s family is accusing police of trying to draw attention away from the shooting.

A grand jury in Travis County, Texas, indicted Governor Rick Perry today. Why? For exercising his constitutional prerogative by threatening to veto, and then vetoing, an appropriation to support the public corruption unit in Travis County’s district attorney’s office. This followed the arrest of the county’s district attorney, Democratic Party activist Rosemary Lehmberg, for drunk driving, after she was found “with an open bottle of vodka in the front passenger seat of her car in a church parking lot in Austin.” Ms. Lehmberg served 45 days in jail. The Travis County district attorney’s office has long been a cesspool of corruption.

The scandal that erupted Friday night involved millions of dollars, statehouse power plays—oh yeah, and alcohol, police, and masks. Texas Governor Rick Perry was indicted Friday on charges of abuse of power—a first degree felony—and coercion—a third degree felony. The charges stem from a 2013 scandal that has been quietly rumbling in the Lone Star State as Perry has been floated as a viable contender for the Republican nomination in 2016. This is a complex case, which might be why it has not made national headlines the way other recent, state-level scandals (like Bridgegate, in New Jersey) have. Below, I have outlined
