Store Ignores Obvious Signs,

Anti-Gun Policy

Daily Caller, by Chuck Ross

A furniture store in Takoma Park, Maryland that calls itself a “Weapons Free Environment” took its policy a bit too far on Independence Day. That’s when a loss prevention officer at IKEA approached Alan Goldberg, who carried a visible, holstered firearm into the store, telling him he would have to leave the premises or place the weapon in his vehicle, according to NBC Washington. The request caught Goldberg off guard: he is Takoma Park’s chief of police, and he was in uniform during his visit.

Comments:
IKEA deserves a special award in the "Stupid" category.

Lie-beralism is a very serious mental disease, where the person´s brain fails to produce that part that is capable of understanding logic, reason or facts.

All they are capable of understanding is how something feels. Consequently, you get really, really idiotic, illogical actions like this.

It would almost be funny if lie-berals couldn´t vote. But they can, and they give us idiots like Øvomit, Pelosi and Reid on a regular basis...

The safest place for the weapon is in it´s holster, not locked in an unattended car.

I´m betting the security dude is working at IKEA because he couldn´t pass the test to become a real cop.

James Foley was singled out for the harshest treatment by his ISIS captors after they found pictures of his brother who serves in the U.S. Air Force on his laptop computer, fellow prisoners said on Thursday. He was regularly the victim of mock executions including once when he was ´crucified against a wall,´ said French journalist Didier Francois. Francois, 53, told Europe 1 Radio that the captors gave Foley rougher treatment from the rest of them because they discovered a picture of John Foley — the hostage´s 35-year-old officer brother — on his computer.

I recently spelled out my support for Israel on Facebook. This is new for me. There´s another reason I previously hadn´t said much about Israel: I´m Polish-Slovak-American, and I am Catholic. Polish Catholics are stereotyped as the world´s worst anti-Semites. Poles suck anti-Semitism with their mother´s milk, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir famously declared.

A Navy diver died at the bottom of a Maryland pond last year after refusing to leave his trapped fellow sailor to drown alone. Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan Harris, 23, and Petty Officer 1st Class James Reyher, 28, were sent to dive in the Aberdeen Proving Ground on February 26 2013, but their lifeless bodies were pulled to the surface just 31 minutes after they started the dive. No one knew what had befallen the pair until an investigation, completed last year but only recently released, pieced together the final 31 minutes of the young men´s lives.

Why Criminals Are Afraid

Many young people, especially the anti-social, dislike classical music so much that it can be played to discourage them from intimidating, harassing and robbing. This experiment has been successful over many years in countless locations. The earliest occurrence was in the mid-1980s, when Canadian outlets of 7-Eleven played easy listening and classical music to disperse teenagers loitering outside. After that, companies from McDonald's to Co-op, transport authorities, housing estates and shopping malls around the world have employed this method. In the UK, the first to do so was the Tyne-and-Wear Metro system in 1997, following Montreal’s underground system in Canada.

The American people cheered – starved for any crumb of leadership and faithfulness to constitutional duties – at the news of Governor Rick Perry calling out the Texas National Guard to patrol the Texas-Mexican border. Then, within the hour, Texas officials conceded that the inadequate contingent of 1,000 guardsmen will not actually do anything but stand around. Texas officials now admit that the 1,000 guardsmen will simply be a “visual deterrent” – for appearances only. The Texas government argues that the Texas National Guard will not have authority to arrest anyone under the Posse Comitatus law. But that is absurd.
