Hillary Clinton doubles down on poverty

Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton told the German magazine Der Spiegel on Tuesday that she and her husband Bill were ´deeply in debt´ when they left the White House, and blamed ´relentless persecution´ by Republicans for her legal bills after his presidency. The claim has added fuel to the fire Clinton herself touched off last month when she claimed they were ´dead broke´ after their time in the White House. The former first lady earns $200,000 or more every time she makes a public speech. The former president has earned a reported $104 million in speaking fees since he

Go complain to Sarah Palin about legal bills, Killary. The big difference is that all of the lawsuits filed against her by leftists were fraudulent and were thrown out. Your husband was impeached, disbarred and fined. Suck it up.

From the people who had the unmitigated Chutzpah to sell access to OUR White House for campaign cash, had dopey Al Gore dial for dollars from his office and entertained foreign nationals, a few of whom were wanted on warrants, in the WH in exchange for paper bags filled with cash.

And then, if that wasn´t bad enough, they had the nerve to set up a legal defense fund and beg for even more cash from Hollywood liberals and other mouth breathing suckers.

Who the hell does this woman think she´s kidding ?

Hillary toots, there is a world of difference between accumulating debt while engaged in positioning for the top .1% level income, and accumulating debt with no prospect for establishing real time income that supports oneself.

Even if your sob story were true do you think anybody with an IQ of a salamander or greater thinks you felt the fear of financial difficulty? You knew and we also know that you and your significant other had enormous earning power as you evacuated our house for simply showing up and drooling on a podium. You didn´t need to sell my silverware for your next happy meal. Anybody that isn´t insulted by your drivel had better not match wits with a salamander.

What #1, and #2 wrote is what should be taken from this PIAPS pity party. "I don´t feel noways tired. I´ve come too faaar from where I started from. Nobody told me that the road would be easy. I don´t believe He brought me this faaaar...." Author! Author! (What was it that the Deltas were "coughing" during Dean Wormer and Niedermeyer´s trial in Animal House?)

The Clintons and Clinton´s VP Al Gore, with their net worths well into nine figures since leaving office in 2001, have gamed the system to gather riches unto themselves to an extent never before seen in the annals of American politics. They´re ultimate political pigs with their snouts and all four feet in the government/university/crony capitalist slop trough. Nice work if you can find it.

Yes, the PIAPS is probably the odds on favorite to garner the 2016 Democratic nomination, but she utterly lacks her husband´s political instincts and his crude oil charm. Moreover, she´s a brittle character of bottomless greed, unprepossessing in personality, vocal timbre, and looks. One would have to be a masochist to want to experience her day after day. There are plenty of women who could make good presidents, but the PIAPS, an Obama manqué, empty of everything but ambition, ain´t one of them.

Yup. See, Monica & Paula was a complex republican plot to trick Bubba into committing perjury so that he and Hillary would have to form the Clinton Legal Defense Fund. No doubt Hillary was the (no more than reasonably paid) administrator of that fund who may have postponed payment to the lawyers who defended Bubba.

Hillary and Bill left the White House with little more than the clothes on their backs and a few under-appreciated, trinkets that were just gathering dust.

Jeremy Clarkson has told how he and his Top Gear team were forced to flee Argentina under police escort as furious thugs tried to ´kill´ them. Rock-throwing protesters vowed to ´barbecue´ the controversial motoring show host after a row over the star´s number plate boiled over. The presenter yesterday said the violent protest was ´state-organised´ accusing the Argentinians of taking advantage of their visit for ´political capital´.

I’m always sceptical when I hear scare-mongering claims about diseases. From bird flu to SARS, we’re repeatedly told it’s going to be the new Plague that will wipe everyone out and then…it doesn’t. Probably because the scare-mongering itself makes people take it seriously enough to prevent it spreading. But there is something very sinister and frightening about this Ebola outbreak, which has so far infected 7,100 and killed 3,300. Health experts assembled by the White House conceded on Friday that a second case of Ebola could be identified in the U.S. But they defiantly insisted that the epidemic plaguing western Africa will not rise to the level of a major American outbreak. It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. [Snip] It’s just the beginning. At present the numbers of people infected are thought to be doubling in under 30 days--and the blue-chip US Center for Disease Control and Prevention predicts that, if Ebola

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I hated

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

Go to a grocery store in California and buy all the milk, eggs and vegetables you want. But there’s one thing you won’t find at the checkout line, beginning July 1, 2015: Plastic bags to carry your stuff home. Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday signed into law a ban on single-use plastic bags, making California the first state to prohibit stores from using the ubiquitous carry-alls. Shoppers will be charged 10 cents for every paper bag and heavy-duty plastic bag they use. “This bill is a step in the right direction,” Brown said in a press release announcing his approval. “It

The hawkish Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina says he is thinking about running for president in 2016. In an interview with Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, the senator, running for re-election to the Senate this year, said: “If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobody’s out there talking — me and McCain have been talking — I may just jump in to get to make these arguments,” Graham said. Graham, 59, also dismissed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 43, as a presidential candidate, saying he is too young. “He’s a good

Speaking at a Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors event last night, Hillary Clinton decided to talk about Alexis de Tocqueville. The problem? She got it wrong -- by about a hundred years. "There´s a wonderful phrase that was first used by Alexis de Tocqueville, who came to the United States in the very early 1930s and traveled around our country," said Hillary Clinton, a probable 2016 presidential candidate. "And he was so amazed at how Americans organized themselves -- you know, coming from aristocratic Europe, which was totally top-down and hierarchical -- he couldn´t believe how many of us were joiners.
