WASHINGTON -- Tackling what he has called a humanitarian crisis, President Barack Obama on Tuesday asked Congress for $3.7 billion to cope with a tide of minors from Central America who are illegally crossing the U.S. southern border, straining immigration resources and causing a political firestorm in Washington. The White House says the money would help increase the detention, care and transportation of unaccompanied children, help speed the removal of adults with children by increasing the capacity of immigration courts, and would increase prosecution of smuggling networks. The money would also increase surveillance at the U.S. border and help Central American

Not to send them home mind you but to ship them to their "families?" all over the US. Oh, and of course provide food, shelter, medical care, and housing...

What´s wrong with this picture? The VA is begging for money to dig into the scandal there, and there isn´t any money available to them. But, we have 3.7 BILLION to spend on ILLEGALS!

I wouldn´t have any problem with this money if it were used as overtime pay for our military so that they can march all these illegals back to the border and force them to climb back over the fence. Then deploy the troops to protect the borders by any means necessary.

This is a setup. Of course the bill won´t pass because the Republicans know how the money will really be spent. Obama will say the bill is for increased surveillance at the border and the Republicans wouldn´t pass it so the influx of illegals is all their fault.

FLASH! Couple on with Rush right now..retired doctor and wife from S. California.
The Catholic Church and the Bishop there have requested that members of the church "take in" illegals, and to keep it quiet..no media to be involved. The Bishop claims that the gov´t will reimburse people who house these illegals in their own homes.
Nevermind exposing the neighborhoods to TB, Ebola, swine flu,the Dr. said it is a real possibility that Ebola can be carried from Europe with some of the illegals.
There is a FEMA Camp less than 10 miles away from this Church where illegals could be housed..It appears that our government with the help of the Catholic Church purposely WANT to infect America.
Call your Church Leaders now and read them the riot act.

They put out a request for quotation back in January 2014 to care for 65,000 minors. Whatever agency put out the request had the money. Use borrowed cruise ships to take them from California and Texas ports to either Acapulco or Cancun. It won´t take Mexico long to stop traffic through their southern borders. If their parents are here in the US illegally they can come claim their children and then self-deport as a family.

Only if they can place an ironclad "earmark" that all funds must be spent on deportation judges and support staff to open courtrooms around the clock--three shifts--to send these "economic refugees," and the necessary armed enforcement officers to completely seal the border. The only family reunification should be to enable deporting the whole family.

This is an invasion of dependent children needing food, clothing, housing, medical care, schooling, foster care...etc, etc, etc.

How is bankrupting our economy through social services any less destructive than armed conflict and bombing infrastructure??

Just how wrong does someone have to be to lose their job in Washington, D.C.? For John McLaughlin, even historically wrong wasn’t enough. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, maybe you know his work. He’s the Republican pollster who predicted just weeks before the June election that then-House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) would win his primary by 34 points. This week, Cantor packed up his Capitol Hill office, having lost that election by 10 points. “The worst part of it is, you build a relationship with a longtime friend and you never want to lose,” McLaughlin says now, noting that

WASHINGTON -- U.S. airstrikes have helped Iraqi and Kurdish forces regain their footing in Iraq, but the well-resourced Islamic State militants can be expected to regroup and stage a new offensive, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Thursday. Speaking alongside Hagel at a Pentagon news conference, Army Gen. Martin Dempsey said that although the Islamic State group can be contained it cannot be defeated without attacking it in Syria. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said this would not necessarily require airstrikes by the U.S., although Hagel appeared to leave open that possibility by telling reporters, "We´re looking at
