A new low for liberals: Attacking
Catholic nuns over Hobby Lobby

The Week, by Edward Morrissey

Original Article

I´m a big fan of absurdity in politics. But even absurdity has its limits, and the National Organization for Women has surpassed it in the wake of the Supreme Court´s decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby. As part of its full-throated defense of ObamaCare´s contraception mandate, NOW has a list of what it calls "The Dirty 100" — entities that have sued the Department of Health and Human Services and demanded exemptions on the basis of their First Amendment right to religious expression and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood Specialties, the two firms that won

The majority of the members of NOW are lesbians. They will never need birth control. I could never understand why they get themselves so worked up over the issue.

To think of that bunch calling nuns "dirty" is bizarre, isn´t it?

Progressive agenda uber alles!
Attacking nuns is peanuts to the Alinsky crowd.
We who disagree are evil and must be neutralized - even if we´re nuns.
Consider: leftists dare accuse conservative Christians of being American Taliban.
Such audacious projection!

#1, This whole country has turned bizarro. I feel like I woke up in an alternate universe. Everything that was wrong is now right, eveeything that was right is now wrong. The entire country is upside down, inside out, and these nuns are now caught in bizarro land with the rest of us. No one can escape Obamaworld!

When, oh when, will this nightmare end? If only it was so simple to just wake up, and everything be back to a sense of normalcy again, but I fear it will take decades, longer than I surely have left on this planet, to regain any sense of the word, if we ever do.

I fear we have lost a generation, maybe two, to the gimme mentality. I cannot imagine these "millenials" ever taking office in our government. It´s frightening, and grows more bizarro every day.

I´ve been exposed to this hypocrisy before. I worked for a chemical company that was part of the Dirty Dozen. I visited a silver plant in Idaho and as we drove into the valley I noticed all the stubs of trees and asked when the fire had occurred. He told me they had shriveled and died because the lead from the smelter. It had also caused learning disabilities for the local children. I asked why they hadn´t been shut down by EPA or OSHA. The answer was politics. The agencies we believe protect us, don´t. The Little Sisters of the Poor who do good work are considered enemies of the state.

Politics, wrote the political scientist Harold Lasswell in 1936, is about “who gets what, when, and how.” If you want to understand the racial power disparities we’ve seen in Ferguson, Mo., understand that it’s not only about black and white. It’s about green. The eruption of protests and violence has been a long time coming. While I certainly do not condone rioting, examining the conditions surrounding Brown’s death — and the deaths of several other unarmed black men killed by law enforcement recently — makes clear that community reactions like those in Ferguson, Mo., are bound to happen. Islamic militant forces in northern Iraq appear to be shifting tactics in the face of the newly launched U.S. airstrike campaign, Defense officials say, posing a new challenge to the Obama administration as it seeks to at least slow the terrorists’ advances. According to officials, until now the Islamic State (IS) was behaving like a well-organized army, moving with strategic intent and pursuing military objectives. Now, officials are seeing at least a partial shift to classic insurgency tactics, as militants begin to blend in among the population, making targeting more difficult. “One of the things that we have seen with

Al Sharpton says the shooting death of an unarmed 18-year-old black man by a St. Louis-area police officer is “very disturbing,” and the civil-rights leader is planning a visit to that suburb to make that known. Sharpton says he’s spoken with a grandfather of Michael Brown and plans to meet with the family in person Monday night or Tuesday in Ferguson. That’s where St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar says the shooting happened Saturday afternoon after an officer scuffled with one of two men. Brown was shot multiple times and died, though the investigation continues.
