AP sources: Obama backs
off border policy changes

Associated Press, by Erica Werner and Jim Kuhnhenn

President Barack Obama is holding off for now on seeking new legal authority to send unaccompanied migrant kids back home faster from the Southern border, following criticism that the administration´s planned changes were too harsh. Instead when Obama formally asks Congress for more than $2 billion in emergency spending Tuesday to deal with the border crisis, the request will not be accompanied by the policy changes that the White House had indicated it planned to seek, according to two congressional aides. The aides spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the matter by name

Obama intends to use the $2 billion to bus them into the interior of the U.S., feed and educate them. It´s not for border control. This latest Obama scam should be voted down.

The out of control illegal alien situation along the borderline has the potential of becoming a big time cash cow for liberal immigration lawyers as the Obama crew is now talking up the government paying those lawyers to defend illegal aliens. Those immigration lawyers are the political allies to Obama and the liberal Democrats.

A few years ago leftist groups got a change in the immigration laws through the Congress that is certainly a big part of the catalyst that is drawing tens of thousands of young illegal aliens to the US border, knowing that once inside the USA, that Obama will allow them to stay and arrange for the US Government to take care of them. That change in the immigration laws requires that young illegal aliens be turned over to welfare authorities with the object of resettling them in the USA with a legal immigration status, and has left the country essentially defenseless in being able to immediately repatriate young illegal aliens back to their home countries regardless of the numbers coming illegally across the borderline.

LOUISVILLE – After failing to record a top 10 finish on the PGA Tour all year, Phil Mickelson is finally in contention at a major. Mickelson capped off his round with an eagle on 18 for a 4-under-par 67 that moved him to 6-under for the week, three out of the lead. “It’s fun to be back in it, to have a chance, to feel like my game is there and to not show up at the golf course hoping that I find something to work with. Courageous or foolish? Noble or misguided? Determined or pigheaded? You can attach a lot of adjectives to Tiger Woods and his ugly performance at the PGA Championship, but you can´t dispute this: the man playing golf right now is a faint shadow of the titan who owned the game a decade ago. There´s really not much to say about Woods´ performance at Valhalla, a +6 stumble that didn´t even look that good. Woods made the decision to play just days after withdrawing from the WGC at Firestone, and set himself up for worlds of second-guessing. His performance this week, in which

LOUISVILLE - Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have never golfed the same way, certainly not when they were at the top of their respective games. But in watching his playing partner at the PGA Championship Thursday, Woods could have seen something familiar in his old rival. Mickelson, 2-over par through eight holes, pulled it together, went on a bit of a birdie run on his back nine, and signed for a 2-under-par 69. It was the bounce-back quality that Woods always possessed, a quality that is currently lost because he doesn’t have the game to pull it off. Wood’s 3-over-par

Taking a small daily dose of aspirin can significantly reduce the risk of developing -- or dying from -- bowel, stomach and oesophageal cancer, according to a large review of scientific studies. An international team of researchers analysed all available evidence from studies and clinical trials to assess benefits and harm of taking aspirin to prevent cancer. They found that taking aspirin for 10 years could cut bowel cancer cases by around 35 per cent and deaths from the disease by 40 per cent. Rates of oesophageal and stomach cancer were cut by 30 per cent and deaths from these cancers by 35

Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists. Iraq is now a war zone dominated by the terrorist forces of the Islamic State, whose rise Obama’s policies fostered. Both his secretaries

When he was running for re-election in 2012, President Barack Obama repeatedly took credit for ending the war in Iraq and bringing all U.S. troops home from that country. At the White House on Saturday, however, when talking about his decision to use military force against the al-Qaida-related ISIS terrorist group in Iraq, Obama said removing all U.S. troops from Iraq was not “my decision.” “You know I say what I mean and I mean what I say,” Obama said in Hollywood, Florida on Nov. 4, 2012. “I said I´d end the war in Iraq.
