Israel must avoid being drawn
into a war with Islamist fanatics

Telegraph [UK], by Con Coughlin

As Israel intensifies its air strikes against Hamas´ positions in Gaza, it is important to remember that no one should blame the Israelis for this sudden resumption of violence. Whenever the Jewish state takes action to defend itself against the volleys of Hamas missiles being fired indiscriminately--and without provocation--against Israeli residential neighbourhoods, Israel usually gets all the blame. If only the Israelis would make peace with the Palestinians and stop occupying their land then none of this would be happening, or so the argument goes. If only it were that simple. For the reality of the situation is that Israel today increasingly

The truth is Hamas and the PLO had better not risk being annihilated by the Israeli military, but they are suicidal and will push until the envelope is over the edge.

First of all, Israel is always at war because Islamist fanatics are always provoking them. And secondly, Islamist fanatics better HOPE they´re not in the cross-hairs of Israel (and God). It´s not exactly a safe place to carry out your fanaticism!

There IS a way:

STRATEGY:

Make Hamas more of a PALESTINIAN problem than an Israeli one.

TACTICS:

Every time Hamas fires into Israel, Israel takes out Electric Distribution stations.

Drop leaflets for Palestinians to ponder in the dark how they can eliminate Hamas to end the misery it inflicts. Invite them to finger the Hamas leaders and locations when they have had enough.

Move on to power plants if necessary.

Then bridges.

Make sure you put the leaders and key industrial sites in the dark first. They need to feel the pain to want to solve the problem.

Black Knight has the correct approach. Then off their electricity. It cannot be done totally by cutting lines, as they have some generating capacity of their own. But about 50-60 percent. This is just pulling "The switch" on the power lines going to Gaza. No destruction.

Step 2 is to permanently close the tunnels from Egypt. This would cause Gaza to live off the food they grow locally, just like in ancient history.

Step 3. Remove electronic communication. Internet, telephone, television.

This is not an embargo, just a return to living by 1600 standards.

It can all be reversed as soon as the say, and prove it, that they will live peaceably with Israel.

I think we´re past the point of avoidance. War has begun. Israel is bombing the homes of senior Hamas officials. To some degree a realignment is beginning. Jordan, Egypt and the Saudi´s now see Israel as an ally even if they can´t say so publicly. Hamas, ISIL and the brotherhood are their enemies.

Has no one reminded Hamas that Islamists at war with Israel have not fared very well. The Jews have traded land for nothing too many times. Of course the UN. and now the US will blame the Jews, and so it continues until the Ruskies get frisky. But of course the Bible is but fairy tales.

Barren land, dams with no water reaching them, boats anchored in dried-up reservoirs and shrinking lake levels. These extraordinary images show the devastating impact the worst droughts in decades is having on the American West - and forecasters have predicted it is likely to continue. Around 430,000 acres of land will be left fallow in California - because there hasn´t been enough rain or snow coming from the nearby mountain ranges. Farmers - who are daily facing the prospect of losing their jobs and everything they have - are hoping for relief this winter, but the situation still remains dire.
