A top judge has told the U.S. Supreme Court to ´stfu´ in a blog post. Richard Kopf, the senior district judge in Nebraska delivered the profanity-filled blast to justices for taking what he sees as a too active role in controversial cases. He said: ´Next term is the time for the Supreme Court to go quiescent–this term and several past terms have proven that the Court is now causing more harm (division) to our democracy than good by deciding hot button cases that the Court has the power to avoid. ´As the kids say, it is time for the Court

Another ´gift´ from the Bushes for our Judiciary.

Got nothing really against them(other than their refusal to fight back) but what is it with the Bushes and their Judicial choices?

Nothing really beats a big-shot federal district judge who´s shot in the fanny with him/herself. We´ve got one in Arkansas, Billy Roy Wilson (Clinton gift), and there´s another in Texas, the horrifically misnamed William Wayne Justice.

Yep, nothing really beats a big-shot federal district judge who´s shot in the fanny with himself.

He would prefer the nothing approach for SCOTUS? Perhaps he is just waiting for potus to begin usurping the judiciary´s power on top of the legislative branch.

Perhaps HIS kids say things like that, but then they probably have HIS lack of respect for the law and everything else most normal people hold dear. After all, they learned from the best (or worst) how to express themselves. He is one truly ignorant and despicable "judge". Shame, shame on him.

Obama’s ISIS war plan sparks

Jerusalem Post [Israel], by Michael Wilner    Original Article

WASHINGTON--The embattled Syrian regime and its closest allies, Russia and Iran, will oppose American military action in its territory against Islamic State, unless the White House coordinates US actions with President Bashar Assad, the axis said on Thursday. The group expressed its opposition to American force, which it called an “aggressive” and “illegal” intervention in a sovereign state, hours after President Barack Obama announced his intent to target Islamic State terrorists “wherever they exist.” But the White House made clear that the president’s decision had already been made. Strikes will begin against targets in Syria “at a time and place”

Conservatives don’t normally pay much attention to fancy psychobabble, but this is a worthy exception. Some nerdlinger social scientists in America have discovered that people with Right-wing views tend to be happier than those with Left-wing views--even if the party that best represents them is out of power. This gem is based upon data involving more than a million people living in 16 European countries, including the UK, and it puts pay to the Left-wing thesis that they’re the happiest people on the planet because they’re in touch with their inner-dolphin. So the United Nations has launched another legal and political blood libel against the State of Israel, its officials and citizens-soldiers, this time for the war of defense in Gaza. Tuesday’s major Washington Post-ABC News poll was one of the most significant surveys of public opinion released in the United States this year. It revealed a pronounced shift in thinking on America’s role in the world, which for a number of years had been gravitating towards isolationism. [Snip] The biggest catalyst for this change of thinking has been the rise of Isil in Iraq and Syria, which has placed the threat of terrorism and broader foreign policy matters once again at the heart of the political debate. With a decisive tone designed to give the impression that this was a spontaneous conclusion reached after personal deliberation (and not, certainly not, a decision reached after looking at his latest poill ratings) Barack Obama announced his long-awaited strategy for dealing with Isil. The only substantive changes to what we already knew to be his policy were the unsurprising intention to extend air strikes into Syria, and the rather less expected one to assist the Syrian rebels. There would, in other words, be a systematic attempt to support those trying to bring down the Assad regime. These two announcements were

As we suspected, President Obama tried in his Wednesday-night speech to make it sound like he was doing something new when he, in fact, he is not. Moreover, in describing his response, he made plain that he doesn’t take the threat to the homeland seriously. For a threat his advisers say is greater than that posed by al-Qaeda after 2001, he proposed measures suitable for Yemen and Somalia. No, really — that’s the plan. For starters, the president doesn’t believe the Islamic State is a current threat to the U.S.: “So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq

Rarely has a president faced a greater challenge in establishing his credibility for a new foreign-policy move than Barack Obama did in his nationally televised speech tonight. A CNN poll earlier this week found that just 30 percent of voters thought Obama had presented a clear plan for fighting the Islamic State. While Obama now pledges to ask Congress to train and aid Syrian rebels who would fight the group, voters remember that he backed similar plans in Syria in 2013, when his advisers saw Syrian president Bashar Assad as the major threat. President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech. Noting that ISIL is not a state (partly because the international community thankfully does not recognize it), he declared, “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.” Neither of those sentences, unfortunately, is true. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it. He took that a step further Wednesday night. While announcing that he´s expanding the campaign against the Islamic State extremist group into Syria, Obama said flatly that this group, which is trying to install a caliphate in the Middle East, "is not Islamic."
