A top judge has told the U.S. Supreme Court to ´stfu´ in a blog post. Richard Kopf, the senior district judge in Nebraska delivered the profanity-filled blast to justices for taking what he sees as a too active role in controversial cases. He said: ´Next term is the time for the Supreme Court to go quiescent–this term and several past terms have proven that the Court is now causing more harm (division) to our democracy than good by deciding hot button cases that the Court has the power to avoid. ´As the kids say, it is time for the Court

Another ´gift´ from the Bushes for our Judiciary.

Got nothing really against them(other than their refusal to fight back) but what is it with the Bushes and their Judicial choices?

Nothing really beats a big-shot federal district judge who´s shot in the fanny with him/herself. We´ve got one in Arkansas, Billy Roy Wilson (Clinton gift), and there´s another in Texas, the horrifically misnamed William Wayne Justice.

Yep, nothing really beats a big-shot federal district judge who´s shot in the fanny with himself.

He would prefer the nothing approach for SCOTUS? Perhaps he is just waiting for potus to begin usurping the judiciary´s power on top of the legislative branch.

Perhaps HIS kids say things like that, but then they probably have HIS lack of respect for the law and everything else most normal people hold dear. After all, they learned from the best (or worst) how to express themselves. He is one truly ignorant and despicable "judge". Shame, shame on him.

Jordan, which has joined a U.S.-led coalition waging airstrikes on the “Islamic State” (IS) group, said Sunday it has secured the country´s borders against "any threat," according to AFP. The Secret Service was unaware for four days that a man had fired a high-powered rifle at the White House in 2011 in a ´fumbled´ response that left the Obamas furious, says a new report. Officers allegedly performed a string of security lapses after Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez shot at least seven bullets at the executive mansion in Washington from his car. At the time, President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their older daughter Malia were not at home, but their younger daughter Sasha and Mrs Obama´s mother, Marian Robinson, were inside. The support of Parliament for British participation in air strikes in northern Iraq is welcome but leaves crucial questions unanswered. The most serious flaw in the international response to the Islamic State threat is the failure to see Iraq and Syria requiring a common military and political strategy. The Islamic State terrorists have, effectively, abolished the international border between these two countries. To some extent this has been recognised by the United States, which has launched air strikes against terrorist targets in both countries. These air strikes, over a period of weeks, are likely to have a serious degrading effect on the terrorist

There is a sense of relief across the political spectrum that Britain is finally doing something in Iraq. It was impossible to tolerate the advance of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) any longer, and now the UK finds itself part of an international effort with parameters of action that, the public is assured, will not lead to long-term troop presence or nation-building. Thanks in part to a rigorous parliamentary debate, the British people understand why they are in Iraq somewhat better than they did in 2003. [Snip] But what will happen next? There are two fairly obvious ways that David Cameron might present himself this week in his last party conference speech before the general election. [Snip] By calling for a united stand against the real enemy of the values we all share as a nation, Mr Cameron could make a few of his domestic political enemies look like trivial distractions at a time of danger. We’re being had. Again. For six years, President Obama has endeavored to will the country into accepting two pillars of his alternative national-security reality. First, he claims to have dealt decisively with the terrorist threat, rendering it a disparate series of ragtag jayvees. Second, he asserts that the threat is unrelated to Islam, which is innately peaceful, moderate, and opposed to the wanton “violent extremists” who purport to act in its name. Now, the president has been compelled to act against a jihad that has neither ended nor been “decimated.” The jihad, in fact, has inevitably intensified under his counterfactual

When the U.S. military strikes, its leaders often choose colorful code names for the operation that sometimes stick in history, like Operation Overlord or Rolling Thunder or Desert Storm. Not this time. The U.S.-led air campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria doesn´t have a name. "I know of no plans at this point to name it," Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory. The 2014 election is rapidly looking like something new
