Ooops! Data from government
agency shows US cooling trend

American Thinker, by Rick Moran

Original Article

Posted By:Hazymac, 7/7/2014 11:34:26 PM

That well-known bastion of right wing nuttery - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - has released data showing that US temps have not risen in the last decade and have, in fact, dropped. Forbes: "Forbes: Responding to widespread criticism that its temperature station readings were corrupted by poor siting issues and suspect adjustments, NOAA established a network of 114 pristinely sited temperature stations spread out fairly uniformly throughout the United States. Because the network, known as the U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN), is so uniformly and pristinely situated, the temperature data require no adjustments to provide an accurate nationwide temperature

Comments:
As Moran writes at the end of his piece, inconvenient evidence contrary to climate porn will be disregarded by the fanatical Greens, who operate more of a church (Our Gore which art in heaven...") than a confederation of institutions that practice honest, disinterested science. It is a tragedy that science is being corrupted in service of the the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the citizens of Earth. When will enough people wake up?

No need to tell me, here in the upper Midwest. I am starting to worry about impact on crops. Would starvation because of cool weather be a result of climate change too?

We lost a lot of valuable landscaping last winter. In general, plants that used to do fine over-wintering have been struggling, and the growing season seems shorter.

The reality-based community already knows that global cooling is caused by global warming, which in turn is caused by the profit motive, the exploitation of the proletariate by greedy corporate interests, which can only be defeated by World Socialism. It´s science!

Gore was wrong, and we all knew it. I don´t think he is so insane as to actually believe his nonsense, and he was smart enough to make money hand over fist with some pretty sophisticated scams. As for his acolytes, they plumb the depths of ignorance.

The New York Times notices the smoke collecting on the ceiling of the auditorium of the world and wonders whether there might be something to worry about. (Snip) Like Sherlock on the trail, he suggests a common cause links them all. But we are advised not to worry, because the president is hot on the trail of the mystery; trying to identify the factor that connects all these catastrophes. Patience is advised, it is not elementary, my dear Watsons. The world is a complex place which only the the very smartest can understand. Little wonder then that in recent days the president seems almost to be suffering geopolitical whiplash.

The best alternative to a negotiated settlement for both Israel and Palestine may now be to fight to the finish, because that is the only thing each can do. RIVERVIEW — The family of 4-year-old Logan Shepard called his mauling death by two pit bulls on Saturday night “a tragic loss.” Logan was found in the front yard of his aunt and uncle’s home by Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, sheriff’s records said. Logan had walked to the home of Dolores and Billy Frederick Sr., 12509 Rhodine Road, with his mother, Stephanie Groulx, who lives on nearby Tocci Lane in the Tropical Acres community. Charlie Haden, who died on Friday at age 76, was one of the most revered and influential acoustic jazz bassists of his generation, largely because he was incapable of being dull. Rooted in folk and country music, Haden combined earthy simplicity with an engaging storytelling style that inspired and propelled the music of dozens of artists, from saxophonist Ornette Coleman and pianist Keith Jarrett to drummer Ginger Baker and singer Norah Jones. His conversational approach to improvisation forged a new model for post-1960 jazz bassists, resulting in four Grammys.

In a potentially crippling blow to Obamacare, a federal appeals court panel declared Tuesday that government subsidies worth billions of dollars that helped 4.7 million people buy insurance on HealthCare.gov are illegal. The 2-1 ruling said such subsidies can be granted only to people who bought insurance in an Obamacare exchange run by an individual state or the District of Columbia—not on the federally run exchange HealthCare.gov. "Section 36B plainly makes subsidies available in the Exchanges established by states," wrote Senior Circuit Judge Raymond Randolph in his majority opinion, where he was joined by Judge Thomas Griffith. The NAACP Legal Defense Fund has filed a class action lawsuit against the city of Detroit for water shutoffs that members claim are racially motivated. On Saturday, more than 200 volunteers spread out across Vermont for the annual loon survey. The results of the survey are trickling in, but Eric Hanson of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and the coordinator of the Vermont Loon Conservation Project, said there are many more birds now than just a few years ago. He said 15 years ago there were around 100 loons. In 1983, biologists counted only 29. "It is a decent, stable population. I'm hoping that actually things do start to level out.
