Germany plans counter-espionage
against Britain and US

Telegraph [UK], by Tony Paterson

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government is planning surveillance of British and American intelligence gathering in Germany for the first time since 1945 in response to an embarrassing US-German “double agent” scandal which has damaged relations between Berlin and Washington. The unprecedented change to Berlin’s counter-espionage policy was announced by Mrs Merkel’s Interior Minister, Thomas de Maiziere. He told the mass-circulation Bild newspaper that Berlin wanted “360 degree surveillance” of all intelligence gathering operations in Germany. His announcement came as several MPs in Mrs Merkel’s government demanded the expulsion of the American agents in Germany who last week were found to have used

Political correctness created the

Almost every day there is yet another revelation in the Rotherham child abuse scandal, and it is all too easy to become diverted from calm consideration of the deep-seated causes of the affair into emotional outbursts of anger at those who committed such crimes and those who pretended that it was not happening. [Snip] The dangers in Rotherham and Birmingham were clear enough. The authorities, local government, social services, education authorities, and police alike had begun to talk about their relations with "the community" as though it were a sovereign body and accepting that different codes of conduct applied within

The man does not have a strategy. [Snip] For over a year, practically on a daily basis, the man who occupies the Oval Office was briefed about the growing threat of a terrorist group which is so brutal that even Al Qaeda has disavowed any connection to it. The man who laid claim to the highest office in the world was told, warned, informed, cautioned, alerted and briefed with precise details about the rise of IS (formerly ISIS or ISIL). The man who has a definite strategy for employing thousands of agents to spy on innocent American citizens doesn’t have a strategy vis-à-vis the butchers of ISIS.

Terror experts fear Libyan fanatics are planning a 9/11 copycat attack after 11 commercial planes were stolen from Tripoli airport. They believe the jets were taken by Islamic militant groups who seized control of the war-torn capital city´s international hub. Analysts say there is "credible intelligence" that they will use next Thursday´s anniversary to fly the planes into high-profile targets. [Snip] Libyan Dawn and Ansar al Sharia - which boasts links to the Islamic State - have controlled parts of the airport. But Moroccan military expert Abderrahmane Mekkaoui said the planes were captured by a third Islamic group, the Masked Men Brigade.

These revealing images off a unique insight into the hardened Israeli battalion, mostly made up of woman, tasked with patrolling the restless Egyptian border. While the unit is a mixed gender unit, in 2009, about 70 per cent of the unit was female, according to the International Business Times. The women who volunteer to join the unit go through the same examinations and challenges as exclusively male

In scenes described by ferry operators as "not unusual", dozens of illegal immigrants broke through security fencing and dodged gun wielding policemen in a bid to board Britain-bound cross-channel ferries at the French port of Calais last night. Nato nations have to

Telegraph [UK], by Liam Fox    Original Article

Nato, 65 years old this year, represents one of the most successful military alliances in history. It is a triumph of sovereignty pooled on a voluntary basis--without the need for rigid supranational structures. It is the alliance that kept at bay the Soviet Union until it collapsed under the weight of its own failings and contradictions. The result was that millions of people who had lived under oppression in Eastern Europe were able to join the free and democratic world. Nato has also acted to protect those at risk in the Balkans and in Libya, and has led an international coalition

The British way of life is under fresh threat from the EU as it targets the nation´s kettles, toasters and even lawnmowers. Campaigners last night rallied round to vent their fury as Brussels bureaucrats unveiled their latest plan to erode the "lifestyles and choices of ordinary people". It follows the banning this week of vacuum cleaners which have motors above the new EU limit of 1,600 watts in a bid to cut energy usage. The permitted wattage will be almost halved again from September 2017 as the limit is reduced to 900 watts. Dozens of other everyday appliances could have

In its latest barbarity, ISIS aimed to project American weakness to the world. Just before he beheaded Steven Sotloff, the ISIS executioner explained the butchery this way: I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State, because of your insistence on continuing your bombings.?.?. It was only a few weeks ago that Gannett did the same. USA Today is Gannett´s flagship publication and enjoys the highest circulation of any other American newspaper. FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader

But while home-cooked meals are typically healthier than restaurant food, sociologists Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott, and Joslyn Brenton from North Carolina State University argue that the stress that

The former mayor, a strategic adviser to the PGA, says he wants to make the game “simpler” by shortening rounds to 12 holes. “We have to make it simpler and easier. Let’s shorten the course and make playing 12 holes instead of 18 holes the norm,” Giuliani declared in a Hamptons magazine cover story with golfer Raymond Floyd. “I’ve played tennis for 20 years, and I’ve never played five sets like the pros do,” he explained. “I’ll play three sets with my pals. So why play 18 holes? That’s what pros do to win tournaments.” Giuliani
