Barack Obama´s Better Half
Poltico, by Andrew Kohut

Michelle Obama is a popular first lady. On average, her favorable ratings have been higher than those of her predecessors, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton. This may well reflect the fact that more so than other first ladies, Mrs. Obama has a stand-alone personal image. Unlike other recent first ladies, her popularity has not fallen or risen with her husband’s. How popular is Michelle? A steady two-thirds of the public has held a favorable view of Mrs. Obama, according to nationwide Gallup poll and Pew Research Center surveys, for most of her time as first lady. At 69 percent, her average

She is the WORST first lady America has known.
She is more like an Imelda Marcos or Evita Peron. Of course, the people who would claim to admire her are too ignorant to realize what a spend thrift, self-centered America hater she is. AND she is racist to boot.

What is there to admire about mean, bossy, ill-mannered, using poor grammar, and constant self-promotion? Let´s not forget that big racist chip on her shoulder. She´s proof that not having to work for achievements brings a major FAIL. No one with a iota of class would admire her.

A president´s wife, aka first lady should be just that, a lady, not an activist politician in her own right. Nor should she be entitled to numerous multi-million dollar vacations at taxpayer expense.

On TV, incompetence is funny, sometimes hilarious. Jackie Gleason made a career of it on the old “Honeymooners” show; Tom Haverford is absurdly incapable on “Parks and Recreation”; and Michael Scott brought the Peter Principle to new heights in “The Office.” But in real life, incompetence can be dangerous, even life-threatening (think a real-life Homer Simpson actually in charge of safety at a nuclear power plant). That’s where America finds itself nearly six years into the presidency of Barack Obama. There’s no question Mr. Obama has all but checked out. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I’ve spent years watching Germany wrestle with its dark past. It’s just one of many places that have made efforts to understand and compensate for a difficult history: For nearly three decades, countries as varied as South Africa, Rwanda, and the nations of Latin America and post-Communist Eastern Europe have been engaged in this process, often called “transitional justice.” That’s a broad term for the ways in which societies deal with the legacies of past injustice.

Since then – like many American cities – Philadelphia has stabilized. The population now appears to have bottomed out at the millennium, and has been regaining residents over the past decade. But as it rebounds, Philly is becoming a different kind of city. In the two most recent decades, which comprise the bounce of the city’s population curve, owner-occupied housing dropped even more steeply than in the ’70s and ’80s. Between 2000 and
