Searching for Hillary Clinton’s big idea
Politico, by David Nather

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 7/7/2014 8:41:42 AM

Here’s one thing you won’t find in Hillary Clinton’s book: a clear reason to run for president again. The “Hard Choices” book tour has had all the trappings of a warm-up for 2016, and even though Clinton insists she hasn’t decided yet, she keeps dropping hints that she has ideas for the future of the country. “You’ve got to ask people who want to run for anything, but particularly president, what’s your vision? What is your vision for our country, and do you think you can lead us there?” Clinton said at a CNN “town hall” forum.

“You’ve got to ask people who want to run for anything, but particularly president, what’s your vision?"

Where did that come from... the High Schooler´s Handbook of Student Government? Is she talking to herself about herself? Does she imagine that as a profound rallying cry that will sweep the nation?

Sorry, Hillary, we already did Hope ´n Change, and "We are the ones we´ve been waiting for." Barry pretty much destroyed nonsensical gibberish as political platform. You´ll have to try something else.

This constant analysis of all things Hillary is tiring this reader. I feel she has been around since Hector was a pup, with the pup more interesting to look at.
As for her clear plan for the future? More money, more power, which comes back to more money.

If Obama pushes the fake Indian into the race, that will split the vote of welfare women, allowing a male candidate to win. Now which male is Obama supporting?

Searching for Sir Edmund´s big idea? Please, stop the madness! America simply can´t take anymore of these leftist clown suits!

Think about it! In the last twenty-two years, our nation´s "voters" have "elected," as POTUS and Commander-In-Chief of our vast global military forces: (1) A certified draft dodging pervert from a trailer park deep in the Ozark Woods and (2) An undocumented Communist/Sunni Muslim rabble-rouser from the mean teeming streets of Jakarta, Indonesia. Taking it still a step further, and "electing" a hard-charging, hardcore, lamp throwing feminazi who hangs out in Fort Marcy Park in 2016, would simply be the fatal "coup d´ etat," finally ending our great Judeo-Christian experiment forever. End of story.

The mother of a decorated U.S. Marine vet held by Iran for 1,057 days appealed directly to President Obama for help on Friday, noting that her family “is constantly reminded” that her son’s case “is being raised, but there has been no real progress.” Flagstaff, Ariz., native Amir Hekmati was seized by the Iranian government in August 2011 while on a trip, with proper visa documents from the Iranian government, to visit relatives in Tehran. Part of the anti-Israel war effort includes attempts to demoralize Israel and its supporters. That is why Hamas, Hezbollah and others try so hard to kidnap Israeli civilians or soldiers, and even to grab dead bodies. That psychological warfare is on full display in the media and social media. But it’s not working because Israelis know that Hamas and other Islamic terrorist groups in Gaza, who fire from among civilians towards civilians, leave Israel with no choice but to fight in a war it didn’t want but in which so much is at stake. President Obama´s decision to stick with his schedule of fundraisers and photo opportunities amid twin foreign policy crises elicited one of the strangest statements you´ll ever see from a White House. "It is rarely a good idea to return to the White House just for show, when the situation can be handled responsibly from the road," said Jennifer Palmieri, the White House communications director. "Abrupt changes to his schedule can have the unintended consequence of unduly alarming the American people or creating a false sense of crisis." Where do I start? First, the phrase "just for show" is indicative of

At noon on Thursday, July 17th, Vice-President Joe Biden was on his way to Detroit for a day of light political fare: a fund-raiser, a community-college visit, a speech to progressive groups. Shortly before he landed, an aide told him that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, had crashed in eastern Ukraine, an area controlled by pro-Russian separatists. Details were sketchy, but intelligence suggested that the Boeing 777-200, carrying two hundred and ninety-eight people, had been hit by a surface-to-air missile. There were no

Even if you aren’t one of those people worried about media consolidation — there are many in that number — the big bolt of lightning last week that pierced a summer of ennui in entertainment and publishing news was hard to resist. The unrequited bid that Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox made for Time Warner Inc. had it all: defensive consolidations taking shape in both distribution and content production; two like-size media behemoths in an awkward, high-stakes dance; secret meetings; board intrigue; and a naked grab for size and power. Plus, there was the gift that keeps on giving: Mr. Murdoch

For better or for worse, the constitutional theory providing equal rights to gay people is entirely authored by Justice Anthony Kennedy. As everybody now knows, Kennedy penned the trilogy of gay rights opinions that lie behind an unbroken streak of judicial wins for gay marriage in the states. At first glance, today’s 10th Circuit opinion affirming the invalidation of Oklahoma’s marriage ban continues this streak seamlessly. But just below the surface of the ruling lies a bear trap that could mangle the legal theories that have brought gay marriage so close to the finish line.

Under normal circumstances, among the first to swarm a plane crash are trained professionals. Even under the best of conditions, they’re painstakingly methodical: They seal off the site to prevent tampering, videotape, examine, preserve parts of the wreckage and send bits off for analysis. They never know which part of a wing or fuselage might tell the tale, so every small find is crucial. But the circumstances of Thursday’s Malaysia Airlines plane crash were anything but normal. It was obvious from the moment a giant explosion sounded in eastern Ukraine, spawning smoke that billowed black across the horizon. Among the first

Israel’s economy is booming. So why is the United States still giving it $3.1 billion a year? That’s the question on the minds of some of Israel’s biggest supporters in Washington. U.S. taxpayers have provided the Israeli military that invaded Gaza on Thursday night with more than $121 billion since the state’s founding, subsidizing about 25 percent of the tiny country’s annual defense budget in recent years. That subsidy has increased even as Israel’s economy has experienced a growth spurt and the country has discovered stores of natural gas. Indeed, President Obama last year pledged to begin early negotiations to extend the

A pernicious, little-known Obama administration policy – one that that incentivizes adult illegal immigrants to use children as human shields to escape arrest and deportation at the border – largely has escaped the media’s notice. This same policy is driving the historic surge of children at the border, as everyone from coyotes to illegal immigrant adults already in America seeks to use children to guarantee their safe passage into the country, or to protect them from deportation if they are illegally living here. The flood of illegal immigrant children, piling up like human debris on the US border, won’t stop

WASHINGTON —Polarization and partisanship are a plague on American politics. Political scientists have found that the two parties have each grown more ideologically homogeneous since the 1970s. The Senate hasn’t been so polarized since Reconstruction; the House has not been so divided since around 1900. As measured by laws passed, the current Congress is on track to be among the least productive in our republic’s history. How did this happen? One of the main causes has not gotten enough attention: the party primary system. The reasons behind the shocking primary defeat last month of Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia, who
